Talking of mediocrity, Rudy Gestede scored his first goal in 2 years today in Boro's win at Preston
-
Tony took us down because he was in charge at the time. Rovers' relegation is on his CV.
-
Huddersfield, having beaten us 2-1, lose 5-2 at home to Stoke. This league is topsy-turvy and it wouldn't take much for a good manager to get us in the top 6 even now. Warnock would do it.
-
Millwall now in top 6 on 40 points. The league really is wide open. Only average results over the festive season (6 out of 12) would have put us on 40.
-
After one win in 6 it would be typical of Mowbray to put a winning run together. He frustrates the hell out of me and I don't enjoy watching his teams. I wish he would go, and soon.
-
I'm genuinely sick of Mowbray. Nothing will change for the better while he is there.
-
But nothing new.
-
Who has started looking down the table instead of up? Where's the next win coming from?
-
Good goalkeepers don't make silly errors consistently like Walton does. It's easy to understand.
-
Comparing Walton to De Gea is nonsense.
-
Where to ? Not out of his well-paid job that's for sure
-

Forest last scored 3.......when ?
-
Soft as putty defence concedes again. Go away, Tony. Soon
-
2 points of out 12 at the minute.....I think we're in one already
-
Dodgy keepers sooner or later will always let you down.
-
So why doesn't he play the team that won at Bristol ?
-
Reports from ground say only about 700 Rovers fans on
-
Forest wins will give him some stick. Odds on he disappears and gets subbed at half time
-
The Tony Tombola comes up with Brereton. Tony needs a new tombola
-
All of those things are good, Mowbray deserves credit for them and perhaps he could stay in some sort of development role. He just shouldn't be in charge of the first team any more.

Support drops when managers fail or are unpopular. I happens at the majority of clubs and it's no different with Rovers now. Many are disillusioned - and with good reason. So they don't go. Having watched football for that long, I'm amazed at the statement in bold. Some players do not give their all for many reasons (rift with the manager, contract disputes, etc). I think some players just can't be bothered in some games. Many players coast - and some do it throughout their careers knowing they can become millionaires just by being average and staying clear of injury. Do I think this Rovers side gives 100 per cent every game? No I do not. The comparison to schoolboys is irrelevant. -

I don't need to be questioned on my support after 55 years plus of watching Rovers. I pick and choose my games now, and with the cost of watching the game a major expense on a limited budget I have to justify spending that sort of money. I would go to Forest if I felt the team was giving 100 per cent and the team was being managed properly, but neither is the case, and I won't waste money on a team that I consider isn't trying. I assume you will be watching the Forest game from your lofty view of the world. -

.....because by being in the top 6 expectations and hopes are raised, and he knows that he is unable to deliver promotion because the squad is not good enough and because he knows his own limitations. . Mid table is the comfort zone - he can show his superiors (if they are interested or be bothered to ask) that the team is performing adequately given its flaws and weaknesses and the budget he is given to improve it. Call me cynical but I think midtable suits Mowbray perfectly given he is probably in his last big managerial job and the need to boost his pension coffers by a few million before he packs it in -
Neil Warnock is available. What are they waiting for?
