Hopeless really. The season is dead -
Cringiest moments in Rovers history?

Watching us lose 5-0 at home to ManU in the 1965-66 relegation season, sitting with my United supporting relatives. Horrible and upsetting when you're a young lad, but character forming too. Rovers forever -
Remember the Bulgaria match well.As a young lad it was a privilege to see that Brazil team. Garrincha made a big impression on me, a beautiful player to watch. Liverpool was crammed with Brazil fans most of them sleeping rough on the streets.
-
Went to see Brazil v Bulgaria at Goodison Park in the 1966 World Cup - Pele, Garrincha et al. Brazil won 2-0 but the Bulgars were top footballers in those days.

Mowbray’s philosophy of building teams is fine as long as there is progress and it is clear the team is getting better. However it’s plain to see we are no further forward than 12 months ago and unlikely to finish the season any higher than our current position. It’s mid October and for me as far as this season is concerned we’re dead in the water. Lying on a beach in the Algarve typing this, just glad I don’t have to suffer the agony of going to Deepdale

I really see no upside from here. Same porous, weak defence as last season, essentially the same team apart from 35-year-old Downing. Non-scoring striker in Gallagher and Brrereton, Graham on his last legs. The league table doesn't lie - it's a true reflection on the ability of this team. Flirting with relegation is a risk

I knew Cunningham had done his cruciate as soon as I saw him do the injury and then try to carry on. I did my PCL many years ago and at first the knee feels strange but not that painful. So then you try to play on but it soon becomes apparent you cannot move properly because the knee is weak and wobbly. Cunningham will be out for the season, a real blow for Rovers as it leaves us with a League One defence - an inexcusable state of affairs when the defence has been so poor for 18 months or more. Mowbray needs to find some better defenders from somewhere - and soon.

Rovers new style of play and how we play it

Players look confused and rudderless to me. I've never seen a manager send handwritten notes to players during the match like Mowbray on Saturday. Burnley show how it should be done - same formation every week with players slotting in and out into a system where everyone knows what their job is. -
So what was the thinking there? It was never going to work; Evans got skinned by one of their forwards who went through on goal. Why does he over-complicate things? Apart from the soft goals the team looked better when Tosin went to his best position at centre half. Mowbray confuses me, so I'm sure the players get confused too.
-
Was it me but yesterday after Lenihan went off (injury I presume) did not Mowbray until it came unstuck put Evans at centre half and Tosin right back?
-
Thanks very much old chap. More money in my holiday fund thanks to another contrarian bet on your rubbish tips. Look forward to the next one.

Rovers were averaging circa 23 - 24k in the last season in the Prem. Fans would return if we get back up. That's not a small club.
-
Apart from one or two lone voices it was noticeable the lack of reaction from the fans at the final whistle. To be honest we were so poor everyone was stunned into silence. Fans deserve better than today but I doubt the “board” will do anything until fans start to make their anger at Mowbray heard. He also needs to know he’s not good enough at present
-
Sitting there watching us 4-1 down was as depressing a feeling as I’ve had in 55 years watching Rovers. Older fans haven’t many years left and it’s clear many of us will never see us back in the top flight where we belong
-
A properly functioning club would have sacked him after the match. He’s had a lot of money to spend and he’s wasted it. Today’s performance was one of the worst I have seen in many many years, probably since the 3-0 pasting at MK Dons under Bowyer. He should go
-
Cannot believe he said that. He’s deluded. Is he feeling the heat though? Who at Ewood is putting him under pressure ?
-
On the train home. What did he say?
-
Harris walked away because of the abuse he was getting from fans. I did not hear any calls for Mowbray to go today
-
This might be an over reaction but we were so abysmal today it’s not beyond the bounds of possibility we’ll end up in a relegation fight. I was shocked how bad we were. It’s been said many times but the defence is so soft it makes blancmange look like a lump of concrete. Bennett Williams Bell and yes lenighan looked what they are which is league one defenders QPR are very average but we gifted them all 4 goals with defending straight out of Sunday league football. Their supporters who were expecting another defeat - they haven’t beaten us in any competition for 20 years - were actually laughing at us. It was that embarrassing We actually played well in patches in the 2nd half despite conceding 3 goals mainly because the statue that is Danny Graham had been withdrawn at half time. The team looked more fluid and Dack came into the game more. I like Danny but on that display he’s not worth a place As for Mowbray time is surely running out. The team looked demotivated and disinterested in the 1st half when QPR were surely there for the taking. And did my eyes deceive me but did Mowbray have Evans at centre half and Tosin at right back after Lenighan went off? What sort of muddled thinking is going on there? Sorry for the rant but the prospect of a 5 hour journey home and having spent the best part if £200 I’m sure not the only fan who feels severely cheesed off to put it politely. Well done to all those who made the trip. We deserve an apology from Mowbray

That was awful not one goal threat we are a poor pedestrian side
-
2 very poor teams on show rovers no creativity a grey team in grey shirts

Easy goal poor defending cross from right where was Bennett?
