  1. We have a board that has no power, is unable to make decisions without the consent of the owners, and appears to have people in place who have little knowledge of football. Managers come and go at the drop of a hat; if Mowbray left this week a good board would have a list of names to target within days. I'd be surprised if our lot have even thought about it.
  2. Have to disagree on that I suppose. It's a glorified shed to me, with restricted view from the away end - because of the steep angle of the stand you have to lean forward to see the goal. Fans are generally OK though. Unlike Millwall, you don't feel threatened there.
  3. £38 to visit the dump that is the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium (Loftus Road to proper fans) And people wonder why attendances are falling.
  4. Mowbray's had one for 18 months
  5. Taking risks, losing matches, losing his last job in management. And wanting to keep topping up his £10m pension pot.
  6. Barely October and it's clear as day the club's dead in the water and going nowhere except stuck in the middle. At least Tony's pension fund is doing well...
  7. Time to eat my flat cap.
  8. Yep, Big Sam had him lined up. Then along came Venky's. Some fans were glad to see the back of Sam........
  9. Poor stuff from Rovers - totally uninspiring. Where is a goal coming from? . I can see Forest nicking a goal circa 75th min and that will be it
  10. Hmmm...... a forward who cannot pass, cross or shoot. Change of career perhaps?
  11. Thanks for that. I've just plonked on a load of cash at 0-0.
  12. Tony loves his wide centre forwards. If I were a winger at the club I'd feel insulted.
  13. Formation's don't matter - if Mowbray can't get the players in the right frame of mind and they aren't up for it, we'll lose. Steve Bruce said as much after Newcastle's crushing defeat by Leicester. It wouldn't be unusual of Rovers though to win this after Saturday's debacle. I'm feeling gloomy though. 1-1 at best
  14. Horses for courses with players; some need a bollocking, others need encouragement. The skill for the manager is doing both when necessary. All teams need bawling out when they've played badly. Bruce will have done after Newcastle's debacle this week. I can't imagine nice guy Tony doing it though after Saturday's non-performance.
  15. Nearly 25,000 watching Spurs v West Ham in the WSL today. Perhaps Ewood would be better attended if we played 11 women - they couldn't have done worse than that shower yesterday
  16. Blimey, that's sober reading. Football is all ifs and buts and you're never going to win every game but those 2 games should have been 4 points at least. Thank you Tony
  17. Today was disappointing in so many ways - 2 wins in a row, decent crowd, rising expectations, a feeling we might have a team that could challenge. Losing at home to a bottom 3 team is a real hammer blow. Feels like another season treading water ahead. Was considering going to Loftus Road next Saturday but is it worth the bother ?
  18. There's also the free running Frank Lampard type of midfield player who makes runs beyond the forwards and scores goals regulalrly. Worth their weight in gold; can't think of many of that type at Ewood over the years
  19. I was a flying winger in my pomp - Id have taken you to the cleaners ?
  20. Yep, fans can argue about players and team formations but if the team isn't up for it or not motivated properly you gel results like today's That's all down to the manager.
  21. Mowbray is rubbish. Doesn't have the nous to take the club any further.
  22. Today was so predictable. Why don't you lot listen to people who;ve seen it all before?
  23. Thanks for the info. Can we play the match on the seafront please?
  24. I wish people wouldn't be so upbeat. It's not the Rovers way
