  1. Me too - saw it last night - the clips on TV make it look like a cartoon - but it is amazing at the flicks, if you are going to see it make sure its at a cinema.
  2. Seems Ferencvaros are a part of Sheff United and have a few of the youth team players out in Hungary too. Wiki Link
  3. Has anyone seen Hurtlocker yet? - interested to see what people think
  4. Went to see it last weekend. Its brilliant, but nothing like what I was expecting. In contrast to Paul at my screening everyone was laughing out loud, but many times I found myself laughing when other didn't, just at little bits all through the film. Totally inaccurate and bizarre, but don't let that interfere with anything. Entertainment. Worth the money alone for the Italian accents (3rd best at Italian ).
  5. Are these the same West Ham fans that the Premier League took into consideration when deciding punishment over the Tevez saga? If I remember correctly they didn't want to dock them so many points as to automatically relegate them as that wouldn't be fair on their fans. Chuck both teams out of the competition for this and next season - (I doubt they'll be that upset at that anyway).
  6. A true gentleman, a football fan, a good footballer (I'm told) and a great manager. I cant think of anyone within the game thought of so highly by everyone. One of the few people for whom the title "Sir" was deserved. Thoughts and condolences to his family and friends.
  7. Just found this broadband speed test. Click Here Seems my 8 meg connection is actually less than 1 !!
  8. Can I suggest we have a few more uplifting songs before kick-off and at half-time. Stuff like Chelsea Dagger by the Fratellis, Lust for Life by Iggy Pop, and One Thousand Miles by the Proclaimers always seem to generate atmosphere (although this is usually killed by that corporate rubbish musak the premier league has imposed on everyone as the teams have to do the stupid handshakes all-round thing). Oh and the drummer can stay - as long as he isnt allowed to bring his drumsticks. He kills every chant into the same tempo as "get into em!"
  9. Darren Potter left Liverpool for Wolves - he was part of their youth-team
  10. Just need Wigwam to turn over the Arse tomorrow!!!!!
  11. Saving up for one. Just got £60 for my second hand PS2 from someone at work (didnt even give them the games either) - superb. Its been sat in the top of a cupboard since my 360 arrived.
  12. "They were also told they may have to play two European games behind closed doors if their fans are involved in further incidents. Feyenoord have three days to appeal the latest fine. " So, if Feyenoord fans riot again through another town / city in Europe - stop a game and throw missiles at opposition fans and police, then they may have to play a couple of home games behind closed doors. This is a club with a big hooligan problem - they have already been made to play European games behind closed doors before - and yet are still in European competition despite continued problems - and they are told if it continues we may make you play at home without your fans. What kind of message are UEFA sending? ESPN Feyenoord are "relieved" at their punishment. I would suggest again that any English club with this problem would be barred from European competition - without any hesitation.
  13. I don't think any of them did well tonight - some were adequate (Matty), others poor (Jay) , but no outstanding performances to secure a first team place. Duffer and Jonty were fighting for a starting position at the age some of these lads are, Dunny was playing - I cant see anyone anywhere near that level.
  14. Well done Lucas is what I will say - those morons who boo-ed him on Saturday obviously haven't a clue. Picture yourself in Lucas' position - playing in a foreign country with no affiliation for a certain club - who would you want to play for? The guy is second on the rovers team sheet every week (after Brad) - has never been dropped - never given less than 100% - never said he will sign another contract - never lied to the fans (Bellamy). He has been quoted as saying (in the Aussie press - I don't know how reliable this is) that he is financially secure so the money doesn't matter to him. All I see is a player, not naturally gifted, who has worked SO hard at his game over the past 5 years or so, that now is on the verge of joining sides that are likely to be fighting for titles and cups. He is unlikely to get that at Rovers is he?
  15. I cant see why anyone wouldn't want Duffer back - he's world class - as for his performances in Geordie land - they seem to have this habit of turning good players into not-too-good quickly and efficiently.
  16. I quite fancy Portugal (Braga) myself, never been there before, looks nice, and locals seem friendly too! Belgium wouldnt be too bad though - I just dont fancy a trip to Tel-Aviv
  17. Stops you using Caps too I see! Hope your trip goes well though
  18. Hardly a punishment I feel. Its not an isolated incident is it? They have already been made to play 1 game behind closed doors, this shows it didn't work. I suggest if they were English the decision may have been a season or two banned.
  19. You can fly direct to Bremen from Luton for £36 Moscow via Zurich is £195 Bordeaux from Manchester is £62 Donetsk via Munich is £450 Manchester to Bucharest is £190 will give you my sources as soon as I've booked my tickets!
  20. Went to the "club shop" today - they don't sell Rovers hats!! Caps yes, hats no!! Amazing
  21. For me I think it would be the Palace result. Close second though was the FA Cup game at Ewood against Liverpool (when they were good) leading One-Nil deep into injury time and then Mark Atkins scores the own goal. Was at school at the time and it was full of glory-hunting Liverpool fans, who now all seem to support Man U or Chelsea due to some long forgotten family link.
  22. Great stuff Bob! Please don't retire!
