He is slagging the club off yes. A club who tried to set up a dream move for him, pissed him around initially by not buying him, then messing him around again with an embarassing, beyond unprofessional admin error that cost him a big move and forced him to go back with his tail between his legs. We rightfully slag off the club for it, his future was messed around with, why cant he be critical?

France, Germany and Holland have all named their squad and all look very strong even though there are a few surprises. Kante has got a recall for France surprisingly and Germany have a few surprising absentees. -
Its a worn out line that ex pros will suddenly improve decision making. For a start I remain unconvinced that there is a pool of former players willing to be refs. And even if there was, you can throw tokenisms about understanding the game better but they wont significantly improve the standard of officiating. If people want accuracy then VAR has to stay and be tweaked as necessary, its objective that decisions are more accurate with technology, logically. The argument about the emotion, of the game is a fair one against VAR so if people prefer that then they have to accept that the accuracy of decisions will decrease and that will have to be accepted.

The semi automated offsides would be a big positive step.

If they do get rid of VAR then I presume managers (and to a lesser extent supporters) will never complain about wrong decisions again. Accuracy will naturally go down.

I think England are naturally up there because we have got some brilliant players in Kane, Bellingham and Foden, although Kane had a back issue against Real Madrid and Bellingham had to take painkilling injections in his knee. But we do have a poor manager and also 3 major areas of concern, we have no one of a top level to play next to Rice to provide balance, we dont have a left back and we also have a worry next to Stones who himself has barely played recently, if its Maguire (injured at the moment) then he is a major weakness too. France are the natural favourites, they have such a balanced squad and crucially a manager with a proven track record in tournaments. Portugal are also an obvious danger and again have quality in basically all areas. Germany being at home could be a big threat too, theyve got an overall nice blend of experience. (Gundogan, Kroos, Kimmich, Neuer) and youth (Wirtz, Musiala, Pavlovic) Holland and Spain perhaps lack the same firepower of those 4 but do have real quality in other areas. Picking a dark horse is a bit harder but maybe Ukraine can be. Mudryk is hitting form and they also have a couple of attackers at Girona who have had an unbelievable season. I do enjoy international tournaments aside from just looking down the media angle of solely focusing on England. Extending them though so youve got 3rd place teams qualifying really does hinder the potential jeopardy and entertainment of the group stages. -
I would at least hope that Eustace's first intention (if he did have any money) would be to raid the carcas of a relegated side just because he has worked with them before. Bacuna is a liability 9 times out of 10 and Dembele couldnt get in the team or even the bench as the season went on. After his initial hype, I know he played well here but more often than not he flattered to deceive.
-
I think it was mainly due to the fact that his contract was up this summer and the intention was to sell him last summer but it never happened. Either way, it seems again like being linked to the same players again. Hes 30 this summer and off the back of a season where he has barely played at League 1 level. Would be underwhelming.

Its Rovers. They must have a plan to seamlessly and proactively have a replacement in place to announce both simultaneously. Oh wait.

They might have someone, they might not. Might be soon, might not.

It works well at SOME football clubs. Not ones that are dysnfuctional from top to bottom. -
Link him with every team under the sun prior to moving, then commence the process months after he has actually moved. Chancer. Ill guess Dortmund next week.

You weren't right.

The court case "isn't a problem anymore." Club fed drivel when in reality nothing has changed and they have said similar throughout this case. -
Unless someone bids money for Hyam, when his stock is low, so unlikely, can we really afford to let him go. I am not his biggest fan but he is one of only 2 senior centre backs that we have fit, so we need reinforcements there anyway. I don't think we can afford to just "offload" him if it is even possible,
-
I can't say that I know if it has been business as usual, although he has done interviews with various people about what happened in January and what he wanted to do going forward, had he been sidelined back in February, he would have not been allowed/chosen to do such interviews in late March. I am just pretty confident that if you had actually heard something proper on Broughton's exit, that you would have not resorted to a cryptic post that you refused to take questions on. At a club like ours, it just caused more problems than benefits unfortunately, as we have seen.

I have not got a clue how you have come to that conclusion. I literally know no one who has anything positive to say about Waggott, whether in person, on here, social media or anywhere. Songs calling for Waggott to go are common place at Ewood, whereas there has never been anything about Broughton. I think this is solely in your head. Ultimately it's all down to Venkys. You are obviously correct about the contrarian view about him throwing a tantrum etc, he was right to leave and right to be so annoyed. But comparing Mowbray and Tomasson's time here is not like for like, the former inherited a team full of crap destined for League 1, the latter inherited a side that had just finished 8th and with more funds than we had for a few years to replace the 3 out of contract players. Both did good jobs but ultimately both were undermined by Venkys.

This idea that hiring GB was some sort of ploy to protect him seems a little far fetched, protect him from what? How does it protect him? And it certainly hasnt worked. I suspect either Broughton is being sacked due to a poor transfer record or much more likely amidst all these cut backs and having grown sick of Venkys hes had enough.
