  1. I said at the time he treated it like it didn't matter and his comment just confirms it.
  2. This is a huge week for the club, we need to get at least 2 attacking players in before Hull otherwise the rot will set in. You cant skimp on the attacking players either, skidmarks from the Romanian 2nd division won't do. Stanisfield and Dyke made the difference on Saturday, and Gelhardt and McBurnie wil do the same next week. All players we have actually heard of with Championship experience and it shows on the pitch.
  3. I was expecting a shit show and was actually quite impressed with the performance in areas. Worked hard, got in front and looked solid then the subs came on and it all fell apart. Naivety from the new lads and the manager. We never looked like conceding and let them have the ball without threatening. Defensive signings all look decent. The usual problem which I think puts us in danger of relegation is our quality in attack. We don’t offer any threat from open play whatsoever. No pressure on the box, no balls across the box, no balls through for strikers. It’s so stale and we will need clean sheets to get a win as we won’t be scoring more than one. A player like Stanisfield or Dyke would walk into our team. Sadly our best chance of goals look like long throws from Miller which says it all.
  4. Never known a season where it’s likely to kick off in the first home league game of it. Think we will be well beaten tomorrow and go down early doors. It’s clearly a rotten atmosphere behind the scenes and think it will be visible in the players.
  5. Expected Hyam to the next one as will have suitors, Tronstad seems to go under the radar and anyone wanting Hedges must be batshit mental. Managed decline.
  6. Probably for the best considering the whole thing seems to have turned into a farce especially the last meeting. The frustration from myself and others on here relate to getting to know what was said rather than anyone's individual contributions. The whole thing needs disbanding with something more transparent put in its place.
  7. I don't think he cared about the cup to be honest, it was more a run out for some of the players on the fringes. I don't rate him as a manager but I genuinely think anyone would be struggling with the squad standard and likely morale around the place at the moment. Birmingham on Saturday is the first proper test of the season. If we go a goal or two down early in true Ismael style then it could get toxic pretty quickly this season at Ewood.
  8. Hyam is probably off as well if he won’t sign his ‘deal’
  9. If we don’t buy some attackers we are gonna lose most games as we are abysmal going forward.
  10. Any relation to Tony Yeboah, one of my all time goalscoring heroes?
  11. Could the agent involvement be an explanation for our ridiculous wage costs after years of slashing players? Or would this be shown in a different area on the accounts?
  12. Travis on his day is a top championship player, can be average on his bad days like Saturday. Would be a big miss, especially when replaced by Gustavo Anonymous from some relegated Romanian team for 50k.
  13. Agree he still has to prove himself, he had a horrific start then a good set of results. It will be interesting to see how these first 5-10 games go. I imagine he will be gone by Xmas either by rage quitting over lack of investment or due to results being so poor they have to sack him (which is probably due to the former).
  14. Totally agree about the two centre mids. One of them has to get forwards and run behind otherwise it’s just so easy to play against. Travis and Tronstad were the two biggest disappointments for me yesterday.
  15. As expected we look pretty solid but have zero attacking threat. Did we even draw a save from their keeper all game? Get used to 0-0, 1-0 or 0-1 as this is going to be story of our season.
  16. Got no clue about any of the new lads but we will miss all the championship experience we have let go. Going for a 1-1, think we will be very low scoring this season but fairly solid at the back.
  17. Something stinks with our wage bill. We have spent the last few years trimming the squad of players and anyone on a high wage. It makes no sense for this not to have come down by millions.
  18. Another option is to get someone like Elliot Jackson from the LET to attend them who probably already has all the necessary equipment and motivation to get some prompt coverage of what happened out.
  19. Waggot was akin to a used car salesmen and can imagine he did a good job of keeping it all from bubbling over. I have said it repeatedly but if these meetings were recorded or broadcast it takes all this controversy away.
  20. The meetings need audio/video recording and publishing in real time or soon after the event.
  21. Ha ha ha, this whole thing is just a complete circus. How can anything to do with the Venkys ownership be considered fit and proper?
  22. All the fuss goes away about the minutes if those that attend just talk about what was said immediately after the meeting is held on here. It's a simple thing to do and stops all the frustration and conspiracy. Please make it happen.
  23. It's really hard to predict how the team will perform this year as I have never heard of any of the replacements we have brought in. You can only assume they will be worse than the experienced pros that have left.
  24. When is the next fans forum and are there any objections to those of us not in the circle of silence attending givens Glens comments above?
