  1. The fee means nothing to me as it’s no use to the team and just goes into Pashas back pocket to make him look better in the eyes of Venky’s. I would rather all of them stayed and run their contracts down before leaving for free.
  2. Scum. All they care about is money, the football club is secondary.
  3. As we only seem to buy foreign randoms from distant lands unless they are already in the building we likely won't be signing anyone today.
  4. Not heard a single rumour about Pears finding a club all summer but imagine he is one they are trying to push out the door today. If I had my way would be buying another striker and winger with pedigree today.
  5. I imagine Ismael has been told that league position is irrelevant this season. He seems far too relaxed at the moment for someone as fiery as he is whilst overseeing this shit show. The goal is to polish some of these turds into profitable assets and reduce the amount Venky’s need to send over when the rest of the transfer sales runs out.
  6. Hedges set the standard for effort and hunger today, the lad chased down everything and drove forward every time he had the ball. Shame none of the others followed his example!
  7. Apart from Abesiou most of the new lads look crap. McGlloughlin cost us the game with a stupid red, Kargbo and Tavares with two of the worst performances I’ve seen in a long time at Ewood. Even then we still had chances to equalise or take a lead and messed them both up due to our pony attack. Genuinely think we are in massive trouble this season with our recruitment and lady luck deserting us most games. Hedges MotM for me.
  8. Pasha needs to leave asap. A man who knows literally nothing about football or rovers making decisions is a joke.
  9. Tomorrow should be a good marker of where we are at after a set of good performances but only one win. looking forward to it and the sense of mystery still about all the new signings. Fingers crossed for 3 points and a performance to match!
  10. Based on that I watched the game and they looked a league two side. We could have scored 10.
  11. Think quite a few are getting carried away after our win on Saturday against an abysmal Hull team. This transfer window had been nothing but a downgrade replacing experienced championship pros with foreign gambles on low wages/low fees. Having said that the signings of Morishita and Baradji have stepped up the quality of incomings all of a sudden so perhaps the message has landed at the club somehow. If we can bring in one or two experienced or similar stature strikers then things would be looking a lot more promising otherwise I am still expecting a relegation scrap of a season.
  12. Optimistic for Saturday, thought we did well against Brum then the big win last weekend. We look poor in attack but the new lads just signed plus rumours around a striker might change that by Saturday.
  13. Yes from early showings DeNeve and Henrikson look well below the standard.
  14. Don't know anything about Baradaj or Morishita but from reading their backgrounds sound a lot more about them than the other unknowns that have come in. Anyone who brings goals and assists is an improvement on what we have today!
  15. I find it bizarre he has been frozen out for Michaleski, can only be a financial thing as he is clearly a better and more experienced keeper at this time.
  16. Looks like his big move to Man Utd won't materialise 🙂 Joking apart there seems to be no takers for him, not even a rumour all summer so maybe he will be brought back into the fold once the window closes.
  17. Have we ever had a worse transfer window than this one? Lost half our first team Losing our team captain Lost our 2nd and 3rd top scorers from last season and haven't replaced them. Lost all our loan based attackers leaving us with nothing squad wise in attack. Replaced championship experience for a cheap foreign legion. Replaced squad players with academy players that have either had no first team experience or failed to impress on loans to lower division sides. Still expected to sell several more first team squad members such as Pears, Buckley (maybe even Hyam and Tronstad). To be replaced by more unknowns if they are even replaced at all. Thanks Rudy. I am sure our wage bill has somehow magically remained the same though. Ismael talks about it being a transition season but what we are supposed to be transitioning to?
  18. Wow. Billionaire owners and we can't afford a sky sports subscription.
  19. I said at the time he treated it like it didn't matter and his comment just confirms it.
  20. This is a huge week for the club, we need to get at least 2 attacking players in before Hull otherwise the rot will set in. You cant skimp on the attacking players either, skidmarks from the Romanian 2nd division won't do. Stanisfield and Dyke made the difference on Saturday, and Gelhardt and McBurnie wil do the same next week. All players we have actually heard of with Championship experience and it shows on the pitch.
  21. I was expecting a shit show and was actually quite impressed with the performance in areas. Worked hard, got in front and looked solid then the subs came on and it all fell apart. Naivety from the new lads and the manager. We never looked like conceding and let them have the ball without threatening. Defensive signings all look decent. The usual problem which I think puts us in danger of relegation is our quality in attack. We don’t offer any threat from open play whatsoever. No pressure on the box, no balls across the box, no balls through for strikers. It’s so stale and we will need clean sheets to get a win as we won’t be scoring more than one. A player like Stanisfield or Dyke would walk into our team. Sadly our best chance of goals look like long throws from Miller which says it all.
  22. Never known a season where it’s likely to kick off in the first home league game of it. Think we will be well beaten tomorrow and go down early doors. It’s clearly a rotten atmosphere behind the scenes and think it will be visible in the players.
  23. Expected Hyam to the next one as will have suitors, Tronstad seems to go under the radar and anyone wanting Hedges must be batshit mental. Managed decline.
  24. Probably for the best considering the whole thing seems to have turned into a farce especially the last meeting. The frustration from myself and others on here relate to getting to know what was said rather than anyone's individual contributions. The whole thing needs disbanding with something more transparent put in its place.
  25. I don't think he cared about the cup to be honest, it was more a run out for some of the players on the fringes. I don't rate him as a manager but I genuinely think anyone would be struggling with the squad standard and likely morale around the place at the moment. Birmingham on Saturday is the first proper test of the season. If we go a goal or two down early in true Ismael style then it could get toxic pretty quickly this season at Ewood.
