  1. It's really hard to predict how the team will perform this year as I have never heard of any of the replacements we have brought in. You can only assume they will be worse than the experienced pros that have left.
  2. When is the next fans forum and are there any objections to those of us not in the circle of silence attending givens Glens comments above?
  3. Exactly, Gested was in charge of contracts 1 year ago and still is now. Total bollocks being spoken by Ismael unless he now has the power to do the deals himself.
  4. The time is right the day after the meeting rather than a month down the lineโ€ฆ
  5. It just beggars belief we would even contemplate selling Gueye a week before the season starts. If he goes itโ€™s got nothing to do with improving the team and is simply more money into the black hole. We have already removed our 2nd and 3rd top scorers from last season without replacement. We know nobody else in the squad will contribute much as they have been here long enough. Is Hedges going to bag 10 goals and 10 assists? Travis? Tronstad? De Neive or Kargbo have no record of either. Brittain was our only crosser of a ball and now heโ€™s going. The only person who has potential to contribute more in goals and assists is Cantwell. Unless the plan is to 0-0 our way to survival then we need to get some attackers in ASAP not sell any.
  6. I donโ€™t think Britain is a world beater but itโ€™s the inevitably of replacing him with someone inferior that makes it yet another nail in our eventual relegation coffin.
  7. Iโ€™m amazed we sold this many given the clown show at Ewood. They are extremely fortunate Ismael picked up some results towards the end of the season as that roped a lot back in including myself.
  8. Iโ€™d be amazed if the Venkyโ€™s even know names of any players or any result week to week. They have shown no interest in Rovers for years now and their motivation remains a mystery.
  9. We have gambled massively so far on signings. Other than McLouglin nobody has a clue if these mystery lads are going the way of Tronstad or Telalovic. At this point you have to expect itโ€™s a weaker side than last season. Attacking wise especially, Dolan and Weimenn were major goal contributors and have yet to be replaced.
  10. Itโ€™s the fact that people who went canโ€™t or wonโ€™t talk about it until the minutes finally come out that annoys me. Us fans are starved of communication from the club and this is the only real route we have to hear whatโ€™s going on. So just tell us instead of all this gentlemenโ€™s agreement bollocks whilst another 4 weeks go by of hush hush I know stuff but canโ€™t tell you.
  11. I wonder if they have put the blame on Waggot for the contract issues hence his hasty departure.
  12. These meetings feel far too secretive from my perspective and it comes across like club censorship and a lack of transparency. If the club are happy to drag this out every time then I donโ€™t see why the agreement for those that attend not to comment beforehand is torn up.
  13. Any news on when the meeting notes will be available?
  14. Really expected some loans and frees lined up once the window opened but not a peep on anything of the sort.
  15. Ismael seems a lot more fiery than Eustace or JDT and they eventually lost it with the club. I can see him having a full meltdown pre-xmas slating Pasha and Rudy as to why we are down the bottom, fielding 16yr olds as we have no squad depth and having protests at the ground.
  16. Be interesting to see the agent fees for these 3 cheap foreign signings, we have been here before...
  17. 100% Ismael wonโ€™t be here at the end of next season.
  18. Another few quid saved, its like a competition to see how few staff a club needs to operate.
  19. I would have thought Dolan would keep his options open at least until he finds a new club. Seems odd to close his rovers career out before he has found anything better.
  20. What an exciting summer its been so far Rudy and Pasha... 3 random foreigners in for peanuts with no experience or pedigree on low wages 5 first team championship experienced starters out plus all loanees saving a fortune in wages. No contracts sorted for any of our 1st team Sacked the CEO and made a load of backroom staff redundant Sacked off the women's team You are doing a fantastic job keep up the good work! Pretty soon we will have a cost budget to compete with Chorley FC and you can bask in the praise from our chicken overlords.
  21. I donโ€™t blame Brittain for going he can earn a load more money elsewhere, we would all do the same. If the club wasnโ€™t a total circus he would have been tied down and the club looking at large profit. This only ends one way if the plan is to live within our means with little or no investment from our owners. If we are lucky itโ€™s league 1 but could easily end up league 2.
  22. Iโ€™ve got to the point where id rather have the players for a year and let them go for free. The club have shown when we do sell players it makes no difference whatsoever to the transfer budget or bringing in players of anywhere near the same quality. May as well just enjoy them whilst we can.
  23. Thought it strange we were spending money on players. Makes more sense if JRC and Brittain are leaving
  24. Two Venkyโ€™s examples are them buying a house to stay when coming to see Rovers then declaring it a chicken farm or something similar. They also sent ยฃ2m to Rovers but then diverted it to Akon the rapper (although this seems so bizarre maybe I dreamt it!).
  25. I said since Coyle - agree his was worst. Our first 11 is good enough to compete at the lower end of the table but behind that it's dross and I am sure the club is eyeing more exits to pay the bills.
