I bumped into Jason in a nice Manchester steak restaurant a few years ago. We were waiting for our tables, having a glass of wine and I introduced myself as a Rovers' fan and how lovely it was to meet him. He was delightful, as was his partner, and spent ten minutes chatting to me and my wife about Rovers. He said he thought the owners having had made mistakes were doing a good job investing in the club.

To balance out my very negative feelings on last night, I guess we have to point to several players coming back from injury, some new players coming in, and losing our best player. And several players still injured.

I was hoping for and expecting a rise in performance with a new manager in-situ. I have a feeling of doom instead. Maybe our players are just crap.

Was that worse than the QPR performance?

Thanks Glen. It is interesting to read that Rovers hadn't had a bid accepted ahead of McGuire boarding his flight and rather at odds with the widely accepted accounts that we've had up to this point. I have also been responsible for submitting documents to non-negotiable deadlines and it is routine that I ask the team member submitting for email confirmation that the documents have been received and accepted.
