  1. After all the guff about Alan Nixon, it's picked up in the last page or two (typing from my sickbed - cough).
  2. Let’s hope JDT can coach him up to our standard and push the buttons that Koop missed.
  3. As long as he’s as much fun as our last Glasgow centre half signing…
  4. I think that if you are going to win over fans who think this, then you need to set out some answers.
  5. Can we add pacey winger to the banned list?
  6. Could be the basis of a fun game though. We signed X when we meant to Y.
  7. It's difficult to have a conversation with you UD. I don't think we share a common understanding of the English language.
  8. I share your pain toogs. I think it is a reasonable view to say that 50 people losing their jobs, having to sell Brockhall and our best players is worth administration and freedom from Venkys, but let's be honest about the options.
  9. I sit in the Riverside, so don't pay £700..... I've been going to Ewood since 1970 and I'm not a happy-clapper, which is a terrible insult to many Rovers fans who do not share (whatever) your view might be. I want Venkys gone and find our current situation unbearable, but the questions I ask are genuine ones. If we went into administration, how many people would lose their jobs? How would we pay for the academy? How many players would we need to sell? If we were able to find new owners, how would they subsidise the club to current levels? And for how long? They are the practical issue are play.
  10. I mention Preston because their owners have underwritten £80m of losses in recent years and point to the general challenge clubs of our size and location face. There are no easy answers with or without Venky’s ownership and we need to be able to function as a club without their financial underpinnings. It can be done as Luton, Brentford and others have demonstrated, but I’m not sure how we fill that gap for the foreseeable future.
  11. Worth noting Preston’s financial precarious position. Administration would be a disaster for many local employees and for local suppliers, so in the short term we can only hope the money keeps coming.
