  1. Some better decision-making in the final third, from Gallagher's first chance, across the front players, plenty of great situations not taken. We could have put the game to bed at half time if we'd converted our overall play and pressure into goals. Not sure Sky are the arbiters of truth either.
  2. Not from my viewpoint, close the Darwen End, first half. We had far more of the ball and controlled the game - they got a couple of breaks, due in part, to poor passing from us. Manners next time big boy.
  3. I also own a season ticket that is not used too often, for reasons similar to these, but I'm not sure have much is JDT's fault and much it's the longterm decline of the club taking its toll. Also, I'm 60 this year and just don't get the same buzz from football anymore. That said I made the 45 minutes drive to Ewood and nearly enjoyed myself. Don't give up!
  4. We could have won this by half-time - at a stroll. Three games in quick succession, a heavy pitch and 12noon kick off didn't help much today. The atmosphere was flat and they didn't have any brown sauce. That said we defended well, kept the ball better than we have done and we were quicker to the tackle than Cardiff. I didn't really get this boring tag - I had to move today because some fall was moaning when we were playing it around the back trying to create space. As already said we need a goalscorer more than anything - or a change of fortune for our front players, and a maybe a ball-winner in midfield. No wine today, I've had my fill.
  5. I might say that some of the players need to take responsibility too. BBD, Gallagher, Buckley and Morton were all very poor.
  6. Sunderland are a poor team, which is why I thought we might nick a win. What do I know
  7. Destined to sneak a last-minute winner then.
  8. Young, and older, players go though phases of not playing so well. Sancho and MUFC has been sent to Holland to sort himself out.
  9. I have to say that I'm rather glad that I've stayed at home in MCR today.
  10. Rather stupidly I missed this - I had this exact shirt for a Xmas present in 1970. Looking forward to the next run.
  11. I think some of our fans need to man up a bit too. Sounding like teenagers when their fav pop band splits up.
  12. He got it badly wrong yesterday, and the jury is still out for me. He has a big job on his hands and is getting some of it right and some of wrong. By the end of the season we need less of the wrong and more od the right, and a top six finish.
  13. Not good today, but 3rd at this point is nothing short of a miracle.
  14. Awake and nervous. It's my birthday and I'm very tired from a family party to celebration of nearly reaching 60. What to do for the next four hours?
