  1. Just home with Pinot Noir, Le Fou, although JDT showed that his is no fool today. A hugely entertaining game and when Wharton played those two passes I nearly disgraced myself. I lot to take in and much to reflect on. My three standouts were Hyam, Travis and Szmodic and our play at times was outstanding against a monster-sized team.
  2. An idea for half-time entertainment. https://twitter.com/NextSkillslevel/status/1675466488894066691?s=20
  3. I loved his antics at Celtic, when he walked down the touchline to greet the Rovers' fans, with home fans boos ringing in his ears.
  4. A great antidote to the disappointment so many of us feel right now.
  5. No, but logic suggests he will get offers.
  6. I think JDT will leave and then we start from scratch again, in terms of playing style. What a crock of shit.
  7. I don't think that we will get such a chance to get promoted for some time.
  8. As I predicted, Rovers finally get TM into the playoffs.
  9. They recruited good manager it seems and like many before them their money got them back quickly. If they can hold on to Kompany and he buys wisely they may be well next season. Hover, they will never win a trophy ever, so swing and roundabouts.
  10. I think the bigger picture is what this team will be like next season, which can only be better.
  11. I see Nobbers can overtake us now. Oh dear.
  12. That's football. Pretty decent for most of the half. Two sloppy goals and poor finishing.
  13. That we have a chance of promotion with this squad is an indication of the impact of JDT and his team. All teams have days and weeks like today. If we have a chance in another couple of weeks, I'll be happy.
  14. That's irrelevant to my question.
  15. What is Rovers' justification for such a small allocation?
  16. Some good news: But the semi-final draw was not kind, pairing Sheffield United with City, a tie for which under the competition’s rules for loan players Doyle and fellow loanee James McAtee will be ineligible.
  17. JDT said that we had been playing five across the back throughout when we lost the ball, in answer to a similar point made to him by Andy Bayes.
  18. It may sound trite to say it, but at least we can concentrate on the remaining league games. I'm amazed how JDT manages to get the performances out of this bunch of players, so despite a possible miscalculation today, he deserves enonormous praise.
  19. I'm rather glad it's an early KO. Less time to get nervous around the house.
