It's pretty offensive really. I will buy a season ticket for reasons not connected to TM, for the good of the club, as a token of support than frankly wains from one week to the next, as a connection to a town I left 40 years ago. You might argue that objectively is helps TM, whatever my intentions, but I cannot imagine a situation where the level of season-ticket sales will have a material impact on his future tenure.

A quick PS - I think many of us are still waiting for good news we'd been promised by posters here who have told us they know things are about to change. I say this is good faith. What's gone wrong?

Our friend Alan Nixon has said that this has been chance of getting promoted for a decade, and maybe for another - or words to that effect. Unless V's pull something out of the hat this summer, there's very little cause for optimism.

I think we all know that the announcement of a new, good-quality manager with a good story to tell the town, will be required to get more bums on seats. And unless we get proper governance, with local voices around the table, then decline is the only realistic course for the club.

I'm lucky that I can afford a season ticket, although I don't attend every game and get very little enjoyment these days. I like to think that I help to pay the wages of the office staff, the cleaners and so on.

Worth noting, from an ex-Forum, that the season ticket announcement shows the club has given up on any hope of promotion.

What did they say?

I think we need a change and like many have done for some time. The pre-Xmas run changed that view until, well..... It's worth reminding ourselves of the wage bill and squad value compared to the rest of the league.

Thought it was to mark my suspension.

Rigger, I misunderstood you. My fault. Thought you said they were getting physical because of TM. Not the case, or maybe not the case, but could be. Either way, good to hear.
