  1. Sell Armstrong instead? Then get rid of Evans and Johnson off our books. Ideally get rid of Gallagher and Ayalas wages too but nobody is taking them.
  2. Really gets on my goat when fans of teams in the prem complain about VAR. If you forced them to watch a few championship matches I’m sure they’d be won around in no time. The refs are incompetent. Without doubt both of those are awarded if reviewed.
  3. I’m glad I missed the 1st half by the sounds of it we were awful. Feel like I say it every week but the level of refereeing in this league is abysmal. 2 penalties that VAR gives for us.
  4. What the actual hell are you talking about you clown
  5. How can the comm call that shoulder to shoulder. It’s as blatant as you’d see. and it looks like another horror for Dack
  6. True. I actually think Nyambe has been pretty poor tonight. But, still not a chance he should be leaving under proper management.
  7. It’s actually the Sky Bet Championship. Care more about Sky Bet
  8. Nyambe should be absolutely screaming at the referee there. He barely appealed. Also a pathetic follow up attempt by Elliott
  9. I actually think it’s riddled with nonsense myself. 1) Reading in the list of clubs who make it hard for us to compete 2) Blinkered view to what a premier league wage is: “sell anyone earning £10k+” 3) Recruit players with maximum budget of £500k, didn’t L1 Whiteman go for a few million in January? 4) Finally, the reasoning that doing the above will save us over £20m a year...Not a chance. xG was mentioned in a comment, it’s a shame because analytical insight is something that as a club we can’t afford to fall behind at. However, this article is just drivel really. Not quite as bad as the 2 minutes I lost reading some Nixon tosh about how we want a foreign manager though.
  10. It was very bizarre, I’m putting the comments down to frustrations after that terrible run. The whole team has been pathetic for weeks so no idea why he was getting so much stick. Maybe he just can’t play with Armstrong!
  11. Would be interesting to see what Norwich want for Trybull next year given they’re going up. I can only really recall one bad game and that’s when Mowbray had him playing as the most attacking midfielder (was either Swansea away or Boro at home, can’t remember which one). Johnson will be 34 next season, and we know we need to move Evans on. Trybull will be final year of his contract but I’d be interested if we can get him for <£1m with others off the books. He has already been promoted from this league once (nobody else in our team can say that next season)
  12. JRC and Dolan were both regulars in those early hammerings when we looked superb. Strange how we rarely saw Dolan start since. Trybull for me is our best holder (although vs Evans, an ageing Johnson and an unfit Travis maybe that isn’t saying much)
  13. Yeah 100% - but no chance he’d leave Braga to come here, especially as they’ve a chance of beating Porto and Benfica into the Champions League. Also can’t see Venkys paying compo for anyone these days if the time ever comes.
  14. Yep they just flashed up the next 6 games and Swansea, Norwich and Brentford are in there.
  15. Tony is looking a lot more animated tonight. Wonder if he has been told it’s last chance saloon (wishful thinking and I know very unlikely)
  16. Yep that’s it...The Luton game was the one I was thinking of.
  17. This ref has had a few stinkers for us before I think. The name seems familiar, Ward
  18. He had Lenihan available through all his touches. No excuses at all, fully his fault. Looking for a ‘fancier’ pass to play.
  19. He’ll be in the changing rooms now trying to clean the ink off himself after the pen burst in his mouth
  20. Have Tony’s knees packed in? He’s actually giving some sort of instructions (or at least shouting at them) for a change, but still from his seat. 2am in Pune, assume everyone will be tucked up.
  21. Shocking stuff from Elliott. The Premier League overlords won’t be happy with our loanees performance there.
  22. Trybull is comfortably the best holding midfielder in our squad. We look a lot better in the middle without Travis (the unfit Travis since his return)
  23. But it’s selective reasoning - look at how many failed seasons Hughes has had. You use it against one manager but blissfully ignore it for others. Saints were in the relegation zone when they potted Hughes, I know which would be considered more of a flop season between that and Huddersfield. “two relegations and one lucky season” - again selective, firstly he got them promoted and then kept them up for a season and I could just spin that as promotion, safety and 2 unlucky seasons. Not sure what you’re even on about regarding his cohones, getting sacked once and leaving by mutual consent once doesn’t strike me as someone who “jumps ship as soon as the going gets tough”. Even if that was the case it’s no worse than the untouchable style we have at the moment. I’d bloody love it if Mowbray jumped ship. It’s all moot point anyway, never happening in a million years with these owners (Hughes or Wagner)
