  1. Oh yeah I more meant why would they not do it as even if we sold 0 of them it’d still be just a few thousand pounds cost to Rovers. I’d imagine it’s just the case that we won’t get any more as SU don’t want to give us any more
  2. If you feel that way inclined it’s about 33/1 for Watford, WBA, Coventry, Millwall and Boro to all win. About 3% chance of happening, showing lots of rivals will drop plenty of points, especially away from home. (Ignoring the fact Sheffield United play Luton)
  3. No but I saw 80 minutes of him stood around doing nothing.
  4. How can a keeper look nervous all night when he doesn’t touch the ball for 80 minutes?
  5. Only 1 defeat and averaging 2 points a game i.e. league winning form (92 points over a season). With 4 of the best 6 teams in the league still to play.
  6. He was fucking terrible and he scored with his shoulder. Absolutely baffling some of you lot.
  7. The post quoted the midfield, only 2 of them in there and he’d probably do a better job on his own.
  8. That stoppage time just confirmed their shit for brains! Gallagher barging into the back of the player The throw in by the corner flag, crowd the box and long throw and you’ll get a chance with the ball dropping, but we throw it short and give them a goal kick Bad day all round, really disappointing but Reading at home is a must (and should)-win now. JRC has been brilliant recently, but he isn’t a right back (can’t defend). Buckley so so weak in the middle. Diaz and Brittain to come in mid-week and move JRC in to replace Buckley and Diaz down the middle instead of Gallagher. It’s a blip and maybe a reality check for some in the prediction thread who had us with 1 defeat until the end of season. Easier games to come and there’s a reason Stoke were 1/1 and we were 3/1.
  9. Oh what I’d give for a Lewis O’Brien. This midfield is a complete shambles
  10. I didn’t know Ben Pearson had gone there. Fantastic pick up from them. Knows Neil from PNE
  11. Bad day at the office should give us all a bump back to earth. All of them look very weak. Hopefully it means we see a bit of rotation again in the coming weeks (thinking Wharton for Buckley though we’ll get Morton for Buckley) A few HT subs needed for sure, starting with Diaz.
  12. Anyone know how many are left? Or if they have a view of the stadium seat map.
  13. Not far off 2000/1 for the FA Cup and Promotion double Merce…..you’re a believer! Just think of the cellar you could install!
  14. You’re right - there will be some tricky fixtures at Anfield and Etihad! 😁
  15. Those first few matches he looked unreal, it was the back-to-back 5-0 vs Wycombe and 4-0 away at Derby. I remember Colin Murray and guests waxing lyrical about him on that Championship show. There was a weird period over a season or so where he fell down the pecking order (don't think it was injury related, likely just Mowbray and sticking Gallagher on the wing). But there is no doubting he looked brilliant from day 1. I remember we laughing at the PNE forum at the time and they were having a meltdown over it.
  16. The xG gods would have had a field day with the "1-0 to the Arsenal" or the "Italian National Team in basically any era". It's a classic case of a decent stat which can remove bias and luck, but is far far over-used (and I say that as somewhat of a fan of it)
  17. We're not over-performing to chance creation, (our G and xG FOR are pretty similar), we're over-performing to xGA i.e. not conceding as many as some stats would suggest. However, we're a different team over the last 2 months to that prior, we're playing much better football, have a more balanced and settled 11 and certain players are really stepping up (some of which wouldn't make the squad 6 months ago). At the end of the day, xG only gets you so far. It's no surprise we have so many 1-0 wins this season. We take the lead, then we're a solid unit and in those games it's often the team chasing who 'wins on xG', doesn't matter to us as we are absorbing it with a lead and have players capable of a quick counter attack (see the goal vs Sheff Utd last week) Whilst, we rightly go into this as underdogs (can we do it on a snowy night in Stoke?), nobody on here would be surprised with 3 points, which should pretty much cement us for the playoffs with 10 games to go and 61 points.
  18. Extra 1.5k tickets at £25 a pop = £37.5k (assuming all adults and zero sold). They’d probably still scratch their head over it.
  19. Sky might come to our rescue and tip it towards going ahead (could it even move back to Saturday or Sunday instead if cancelled)
  20. A little digging on the Sheffield United site has the Bramall Lane Corner Upper Tier locked (same as the Away End next to it). Looks like this is where the additional allocation came for Spurs, so we may have the option to take it.
  21. Still hopeful it goes to general sale as I’m planning to fly over for this to keep the 100% FA cup attendance going. Friday and Saturday is just Half Season Tickets and 1875 members so shouldn’t make too much difference, but it sounds like we’re about 2/3rds sold now Didn’t sound like the option to increase to the Spurs allocation was available earlier in the week which seems odd if that is the whole stand.
  22. 3 wins, 4 draws, 4 defeats. Feels more realistic than 1 defeat across 11 which I’ve seen posted a few times. We have the 4th hardest run-in of the whole league (average position of teams in remaining fixtures) after Hull, Huddersfield and Reading. Watford, West Brom and Coventry have the 3 easiest.
  23. Stoke (A) = L Reading (H) = W Birmingham (A) = D Norwich (H) = L Huddersfield (A) = D Hull (H) = W Coventry (H) = D PNE (A) = W Burnley (H) = L Luton (H) = D Millwall (A) = L Total: 71 points and pocket radios at The Den If we beat Stoke on Friday then I can’t see anything but a Top 6 finish looking at the remaining fixtures.
  24. Still no news on prices, sale structure, allocation, transport etc. for the FA cup tie in less than 2 weeks time. On sale in the home end.
