Agreed re the senseless booing. It was good that Weimann had a warm welcome from most in the JW Upper.

The engagement with fans on the shit (sorry shirt) designs was under the old regime with Fraser leading the consultation. Today consultation does not exist. The club tells you what they have decided. It is often called a ‘dictatorship’.

I really enjoyed the Lengends game; it was the highlight of the day. There must have been at least 9,000 who stayed back, indeed it was better attended than some of our midweek home games in recent weeks and the crowd who did stay seemed to very much enjoy it. As for the rest of the 150 it has been embarrasing.

Supporters have been the biggest part of Rovers 150 year history. Sadly fans, apart from sales and money making opportunities, do not feature at all in the 150th celebrations. So very wrong and very sad as well.

Sadly it is not ours anymore. Rovers sold it to the Venkys and we pay rent to use it.

As suggested by We Are The Rovers. The Club love using our ideas and turning them into their own.

It was getting hairy behind me in the JW Upper with a few ‘fans’ taunting those chanting “Venkys Out” by shouting “where the fuck would we be without the Venkys funding us, you are just a bunch of muppets, Venkys Out fucking muppets” etc etc etc. “get behind the team”. Rather unpleasant. It was very close to getting violent.

Just been clearing out some cupboards during decorating. Does anyone remember this classic? ‘Tash Force’, based in Blackburn some of which was filmed in the Fox & Hounds. I have it on DVD and must try and find out how I can get a digital copy.

I go to Chorley occasionally. I was brought in up nearby Leyland and my brother played in goal for Chorley for a short time. I don’t support them but it is a great atmosphere. A loud home crowd, plenty of novel supporters flags, a good Fanzone and a new club shop. They are pulling in a lot of former Rovers attendees these days and recruiting loads of young fans who may otherwise have gone to Rovers.* *Rovers Community Trust no longer do any activities in Chorley. I had arranged for the Council Leader to attend a Rovers home game but Rovers never followed up the contact despite promises.
