  1. Sorry, missed the joke......it's that time of the month. Should have gone to Samlesbury Hall instead.
  2. Stuart, no it was at the Tower itself. There were lots of complaints on the day.
  3. Not quite a restaurant although they claim to sell "food"! Took my elderly Mother to Hoghton Tower yesterday for their "special" Mothers Day lunch. She was in tears. It was disgusting. The beef would have removed most peoples teeth, and could have been used to sole a boot, and the gravy as cold as snow. The service was appalling. The Roundheads should have finished the place off.
  4. You want to try this place Gordon, truly surreal. Take a camera. Some nice lady waitresses as well and non of them butch :-)
  5. Three times, normally taking USA work visitors. Great setting, 4/10 for food which is generally poor and overpriced. Try the Monroe about 100 yards down the road which is far far better. Love it. My wife and I go there. Did you clock the camp male waiter in tight shorts?
  6. Has anyone been to Marco Pierre White in Liverpool please? My team at work have persuaded me to take them out and chose it for me on the back of a promise I made a few months back......what a mug !!
  7. 'Twas a guest at the Skylon Lounge at the Royal,Festival Hall in London on Tuesday evening. Fantastic view over the Thames from our window table and equally super food and service to follow (scallops, mutton, chestnut cake). A decent wine list followed by my favourite Pedro Ximinez sherry to finish off a memorable meal. Sorry but I cannot stand Heathcotes any more. He dumbed down the quality across his chain in order to make more and more money (pity he didn't set enough aside to pay his tax). I don't like microwave food which is what Heathcotes do. A mere shadow of his former self and 2nd rate (if that) eateries to boot.
  8. a very good choice, don't forget to enjoy a beer or two
  9. Well done chaps. A jolly good win for our boys, and the Burnley dog eaters are losing. Night night.
  10. . He normally has a pre-match deep fried pizza followed by battered and deep fried mars bar for his pudding.
  11. At the moment all I want is for us to escape relegation....and get rid of the chicken loons....and Agnew, Shaw and that pillock Shaggy Singh.
  12. If we carry on like this we could well finish the season above those dog eaters from Burnley.
  13. Nando's = disgusting "food" just about fit for dogs
