  1. Past hour
  2. All three Wilson brothers are dead, with Carl and Dennis having been dead for decades. When Brian had his breakdown Carl took over as the leader of the group. Without the Wilson brothers involved it's not the Beach Boys.
  3. Lol. Ohashi and Andy Cole. As likeable as the former is that's the last time you'll ever see those two mentioned in the same sentence!
  4. I’m not sure I’ve seen that one but I maintain if kicking out like that isn’t covered then they may as well not have this option for retrospective action.
  5. It was bad but not nearly as bad as the one on Baradji at Preston and they never took any retrospective action there.
  6. Litherland clearly isn't a RWB - he's providing the same contribution at RWB that Miller or Carter could. We need an actually attacking force there to backup Alebiosu. If we were pushing on as a club I'd target a backup RWB, a starting LWB and a starting CF in January - shipping out Pickering, Ribeiro and Gueye and committing to this 3 at the back system. We're obviously content to tread water so that won't happen.
  7. I imagine Henriksson would warn him off. "Yeah, mate I was ripping up the Swedish leagues and now can't get off the bench. When I do play I play out of position".
  8. Today
  9. Unfortunately he's got a bit of Andy Cole about him - needs 3 good chances to score. Alas we don't tend to create 3 good chances a game like Utd used to do.
  10. It's quite amusing watching some of the regulars criticising the referees (not calling you out in particular). I've been calling them out for years - the standard of officiating is atrocious.
  11. Or, y'know, do anything of note in 90 minutes.
  12. First ever 20-20 Test match?
  13. Most classy defender I've ever seen.
  14. You know what I loved about that game today? Seeing 'big', 'scary' Middlesbrough dumbfounded and being unable to cope with Blackburn Rovers. They had no idea what to do. Even during the worst of times, we've always had your lot's number, Honeyman. Let that sink in. That is the kind of thing we did regularly to teams in the Premier League before the clown show arrived. We will be back when said clown show disappears. A superb performance today where we made Boro look very ordinary. The fact they are currently in 2nd place shows what a huge opportunity we have missed this season and all due to people with no footballing knowledge deciding they want to 'transition' and cut costs. Go and f#*k off and transition somewhere else. Professional football certainly isn't for you. Never mind the play offs, automatic promotion was there for the taking this year. A smidgeon of ambition from that shower would have seen us right in the mix. They aren't winners in any way though. Those who defend these people and use the 70s and 80s as some sort of cover for their own egos are exactly the same. Just imagine where our club would be under normal owners and a normal Board. I was impressed with how we hassled and harried Boro for the majority of that game and with how dangerous we looked on the break. That was more akin to a Premier League showing from us. We just lacked that bite needed in the final third. There were so many counter attacks where we took too long to play the final ball. Despite that, it was fantastic seeing Boro being swamped and they could have had no complaints had we come away with the win. I don't think they'll see a better away performance at the Riverside all season. Big performances from Tronstad, Miller and Pratt in particular today. Baradji is a tank and there's hopefully a lot more to come from him. I think we are a lot better than the League table suggests and I expect things to pick up soon. Just like Ismael keeps saying. He and the team are giving it everything in difficult circumstances. Fair play to the young lads who are stepping in admirably and doing a decent job. Pasha out. Venky's out.
  15. You'll find out when he's gone.
  16. If the Hackney incident isn’t covered by the second thing on this list then I’m not sure what would be:
  17. Ohashi was bloody awful. I’m glad the crowd agree, the BRFCS “Rovers player ratings” placed only Henrikkson and Morashita below him. He was lucky to get a 5 from me! By the way Rev, Tronstad was voted Man of the match…..deservedly so in my opinion. I gave him 8.
  18. Gueye will go, either Pickering or Ribeiro will go, Garrett and Tyjon will leave. I think De Neve on loan. Then you have 3 spare spaces in the squad to sign players with down to Rudy delivering the signings. Lets see who we sign during the window and judge afterwards Hardie or Dykes would be ideal striker signing for us.
  19. I literally said finding takers for those players will be tough, as they are either rubbish or injured. In Taveres's case, it's both.
  20. I've no idea what the ref was watching. A late, blatant, aggressive, petulant kick. Clearly a red card. And then to book Ohashi. Pathetic.
  21. He is out injured for at least 8 weeks.
  22. Yeah you loved Travis. Weirdly, you always quote him in the Tronstad debate, but he is hardly Tugay, so i've absolutely no idea why. 9 goals in 250 appearances for Rovers, zero at Ipswich and Derby. 1 assist last year. Typical stats for a defensive midfielder with little to no skill or creativity. He got a sideways move to Derby, not a big club, where your other big hero is laughably hardly top of the league ripping it up like you stated he would with absolute certainty. Many of his own fanbase are already questioning the 'project' and can see through his soundbites. If i was in charge i'd be doing everything in my power to keep Tronstad. Strangely, your messiah seemed to like him also, any thoughts why?
  23. The Beach Boys, as currently set up have not been worth seeing for a long time. Mike Love managed to get the rights to the name a long time ago and has been peddling a greatest hits band since then. The real genius was Brian Wilson and the band that he took back on the road was essential viewing, right from when he recreated Pet Sounds up to redoing Surf’s Up. I saw him at Glastonbury in 2005 but then outstandingly at the Festival Hall and then the Empire in Liverpool in the same week. Either of those was as good a gig as I have ever seen. Sadly, now Brian has gone, nothing purporting to be the Beach Boys is worth seeing.
  24. Gueye out and a new striker in seems fairly obvious, if we can shift him out. I suspect we'll shift both Pickering and Ribeiro out, with the intention of bringing in 2 new defenders in. O'Riordan has been recalled so that'll be one and the emergence of Litherland might have stopped them looking at a backup RWB option. LWB is a concern as Hedges is injury prone and also leaving in the summer (as it stands), De Neve as we know, isn't good enough. Assuming we'll look to address that, should both Picks and Ribeiro leave. Centre mid is a bit of a mess, Tronstad is off in the summer, as is Forshaw. TGH and Baradji are only on loan, Montgomery is injured and Taveres is injured and rubbish. Garrett is injured and probably not up to this level but if assume he's not currently registered anyway. We need a Tronstad replacement (even if they are signed now and loaned out for the season). Realistically any of Forshaw, Garrett, Kargbo, De Neve, Taveres, Gueye and 1 of Ribeiro or Pickering, could leave to free up a squad place/wages but finding takers will be tough as they are injured or just rubbish (or both).
