  1. Past hour
  2. Chris Brown would be an improvement on Gueye.
  3. That tells me more about people than results. A quick look on the childish nature of social media and grown men throwing tantrums, supposedly mature administrators as guardians of this very site calling players thick, and all the other rubbish that emerges after a defeat, tells me there is no patience in football these days. I'm not as much done with the game as I am with certain so-called Rovers "supporters".
  4. Looking past the set 4 grammar…we’ve only signed 1 French lad and there wasn’t a single French player in our whole squad today, so leave that shit out of it.
  5. Not exclusive to rovers fans but what a difference a result makes, last week was full of positives and signings were all looking great, this week we are relegation certs and signings are all write offs. I’m not having a go, I’m annoyed as everyone but think we maybe need to realise we are where we are, as likely to have a good game as a really poor one currently. We are definitely a middle to bottom squad
  6. It really was a case of after the Lord Mayors Show today as I fully expected us to be doing the same things as we did so well at Hull namely intensity, aggression and a high press. In the first half we got none of these with Norwich being the dominant team as we put in our worst performance of the season in that period. The goal was no surprise but the way the penalty was conceded was awful. Just before that I was thinking I would have been delighted to go in level at half-time but that notion disappeared quickly and we were one down and had to play the second half with the men. Ironically we were better with ten men in the second half and started to do things that we should have done in the first 45 minutes. The two gilt edged chances we missed highlights to me were we really need to strengthen as I believe a natural goal scorer would have notched there. I think Ismael got it wrong today as for me he left Morishito on the bench for too long. We were crying out for some creativity and in my view he should have been on for the whole of the second half. Another but disappointment for me was the poor decision making by far too many players in the first half. Misplaced passes, poor choices of pass and so many with the wrong weight on them. We have a lot to do in the next couple of days in terms of bringing in the right quality of players and beyond that having them ready for Watford in a fortnight.
  7. Yes they all have to work for the loons but JDT blew away that 'nobody would've done better' theory very quickly. Before he was shafted with the budget of course.
  8. This reads like Chaddy's evil twin
  9. I was sat with a group of Rovers junior players this afternoon and they were laughing at Kargbo and Gueye.
  10. I have been saying this for weeks. He is dreadful and it takes 76 mins to get him off. I would have taken him off at 6 minutes.
  11. To be fair to the referee I reckon 99% of the crowd thought it was a pen, certainly looked in the box in N05. Regardless, we got done by a big straight ball over the top and should have been 2 possibly more down prior to that. Whether it was a pen isn’t really the issue, it’s the fact that we were truly woeful first half. Tavares didn’t get near their midfield, McClean played the first half in his pyjamas
  12. As iv been saying all summer - the board the recruitment the managers team are all cheap replacements with no idea - the club is using this data bollocks for recruitment over the EYE naturaly watching the player which ohashi was watched. Tavares failed at leicster then happened to get an attitude he is a luxury player who needs an experienced player by the side of him - ie travis tronstad and let him ping a ball about cause he is to lazy to run and want the ball Kargbo is nothing but a forest gump run as fast as you can put a ball at his feet jesus christ that moves quicker and further than he runs its really poor coaching that he hasnt improved his 1st & 2nd touch of the ball - id seen e nough for the season after the bradofrd game but the past 2 have written any hope off he would struggle in league 2 Gueye at the time plenty of fans was calling sam gallagher an dmy words to a few friends be careful what you wish for cause we end up with a crazy headless empty head who can only fist pump a crowd - gives away stupid fouls at stupid times - cant find a pass - cant head it for size of him & again learnt nothing since arriving. Can bet de neve Harry leonard & Igor and wondering what the hell they have to do to get a look in with crap like that above them getting the nod. I could go on but today proved how poor we was when our defence had the ball norwich commited 4/5 players into our half diamon shape everytime knowing there was a mistake and the midfield had nothing to offer so they could pick up bits. This foreign cheap shite policy needs to end right now and find some experienced proven players i know the horrid club n eustace but they went and got morris knows the league horrible to play against and now scoring again after a fresh start from luton. GESTEDE IS HAVING A FIELD DAY WOLCING AROUND EWOOD BEFORE THE GAME WITH PASHA
  13. The Personal Assistant, Christina Haines, to the COO and CEO (when he / she is finally announced) left Rovers today for Training 2000. She is a lovely lady who has been very loyal to Rovers. Good luck Christina. I wish you well in your new employment. You did right to jump ship.
  14. Gueye isn't an impact sub - he's poor in that role. He needs to start the game and cause chaos for 70 minutes. Ohashi missed a sitter, refused to shoot TWICE when the GK was miles out of position when they gifted us the ball and bottled it when played through (the Hedges 'chance'). He had an absolute stinker today.
  15. That was absolutely grim. It would’ve been daylight robbery if we’d got a point there. The Hull performance appears to be the exception rather than the norm. Goals are going to be hard to come by. Special mention for Tavares who was spectacularly shit. I thought the early proclamations that he was an upgrade on Travis seemed daft at the time. If he’s not going to put himself about much he needs to really look after the ball. On first viewing I had concerns about how well he’d do when he was under any pressure - today his passing was miles off even when he was afforded time and space. More like a poor man’s John Buckley. Kargbo looks dreadful whenever he starts games. Coming off the bench and running at players he looked somewhat useful. De Neve is now about 7th choice winger. Alebiosu has really grown on me over the last couple of games. A bit raw, but positive in his play. Hope to god Watford, or anyone else for that matter, don’t come in for Hyam. McLoughlin got the right runaround today, the sending off was 100% deserved. Gueye was useful for a period last season, but he’s never going to be any good playing off the last man’s shoulder. He can’t stay onside for one thing, but giving him a ball to his feet 40 yards from goal is mostly going to result in comedy. Nobody can convince me that we wouldn’t be several points better off if we’d had Travis, Dolan and Batth in the side.
  16. Despite the no-shows from Tavares and Kargbo, the six offsides from Yuki and Papi, the complete inability to shackle Sargent, we still had a higher xg than they did! Got to credit the spirit in the second half but boy are we missing a goal scorer.
  17. We've played well in 3 of the 4 games and come away with 3 points. That's hugely concerning. Lots of decisions going against us, which makes things more difficult, but we're just not taking our chances. I hope this Gudjohnsen lad is good because fuck me Ohashi was shite today. He's an impact sub, nothing more.
  18. We don't win many ariel duels in midfield. If they were betting at the bookies, it would be 100-1 on, rovers losing the midfield ariel duel.
  19. I think our home form could be a real problem this year. It hurts to me say it but our crowd is so demoralised and brow beaten by the last 15 years that rather being the 12th man, we seem to be making us play a man short. It used to be a tough place for clubs to come full of passion and quite intimidating, now it must be the quietest home support in the land. It is embarrassing and a result of the last 15 years and breaks my heart.
  20. I'll cede there's a plan but it doesn't coalesce with succeeding in this league.
  21. Hang on a minute, so we don’t have a plan and this isn’t the most exciting transfer window in ages? 🤯.
  22. Doesnt fancy anyone unless there french and crap
  23. A decent team would have took pathetic rovers to the cleaners. Lucky a mediocre team could only score 2 against non firing rovers.
  24. I would assume it's just the hardcore attending these days anyway? Hard to imagine our attendances fluctuating that much based on isolated results. I would only expect significant changes for midweek cup games against lower league opposition or conversely cup games against a PL team.
  25. Playing Ohashi off the main striker probably is a better bet for me, not that I rate Gueye, but Ohashi is way too slow and weak as the main centre forward.
