It'll never happen, just pure apathy. Also, it really is at this point entirely the fact that Ismael and the players are a symptom not a disease. The transfer policy is literally decided by making sure a balance sheet appeases an owner a thousand miles away. The manager was signed as he was the cheapest option and a yes man. That's it in a nutshell. Changing Ismael won't do a thing - we might get someone tactically more astute but we've got 2 CBs and a player signed as a right back suddenly needing to play every game in a back 3. I can't blame a hastily assembled squad of players who don't have any quality or experience, it's a League One side with 1 or 2 bright sparks. The slow decline means we deserve League 1, even 2 - it's the level they've created.

I mean, the suggestion that the FF go down to Brockhall is absolutely nonsense anyway but Id hope the team spirit WASN'T that good at the moment after seven defeats out of ten and sitting second bottom. That was November 2021, but we have beaten them even later than that. We beat them 1-0 under JDT in March 2023 that left us 3rd in the table with a real outside chance of getting into the top 2, or at worst consolidate a top 6 finish. But as predicted by many at the time, the lack of a January window came back to bite us as we ended up winning 1 of our last 11 to finish 7th.

They've no plans full stop, they certainly ain't going to rock the boat and incur a £1 million+ expense sacking off Ismael and Whitehead. They want life as cheap and easy as possible. A managerial sacking / recruitment process is the last thing they want.

WATR have always been an independent entity as have all the other groups in the Coalition ( Proud Rovers, Action Group etc ). WATR are still working in conjunction with the Coalition but this survey has been sent to Trust members and ex-members who still have a registered email address. There is no 'splitting off'. WATR and the Coalition can work jointly and separately.

People rinsing a ton of money out of football both in the media and behind the scenes at clubs need to come up with such 'modern' terms to justify their employment. BBC are the latest - articles riddled with factual mistakes - example being that Dyche led Burnley to qualify for Europe for the first time since the 60s - but loads of pointless stats about Xg and other drivel about his 'style'.

I just had a text from a Rovers staff member saying the Club have ‘no plans to remove VI’.

They went down the Head Coach / DOF route with Broughton and JDT and for the first 18 months it worked to perfection - we got results, played an exciting brand of football, brought through academy lads by the bucketload and made good investments in new signings. They smashed that to smithereens after 1 year. Their choice, presumably the Broughton/JDT approach was costing too much and working too well / not greasing the right palms so a different approach had to be brought in.

Chorley reserves could give us a goal start, and we would still end up losing it. I cant remember a weaker Blackburn Rovers team, if there were, you've to go back a lot of seasons.

Even though SU's form was awful leading up the game, they still have a squad full of players that eclipse our lads, and Wilder love him or hate him, is a better tactician in his sleep than Ismael. He had us sussed second half, an easy team talk: "let them come onto you and do the work, let them look to make it 2-0, they can only attack with their fullbacks down the wings, any crosses and infield passes will come to nothing, so be patient and let them make an error, and we'll be on the half-way line 3 v 3." Easy. Do we look capable of shutting up shop ever? If we go 1-0 down its game over, and now if we go 1-0 up I feel it's game over too. I'm starting to think the Ipswich game being called off has saved us from a 1-2 loss in the vein of the Brum game. There was one moment last night that summed it up for me, we had a spell of 10 or so passes at around 50mins that actually made us look like we were controlling the game, biding our time and making Sheff Utd work at 1-0 up, we then got too tight to the touchline and De Neve (who I thought was one of our better players) got pressurised and misplaced a pass inside, they then broke forward at speed and created a chance - our heads just dropped after that. The confidence is paper thin, but it stems from the ridiculous situation they've been put in. There was an odious teenager and his equally odious mates behind me mouthing off and swearing at every other bad touch any of our lads had (so it was a lot) - he didn't give anyone ever credit, didn't even applaud them off at half time. I get it - but if that's the future of the fanbase then we're knackered - they're never going to direct their ire at the owners and management, too easy to slag off what they see on the pitch and leave.

We need to distance any protests against Venkys from comparisons with Jack Walker, because Jack Walker was a one in a million owner, local tycoon, every fan's dream. It will be easy for the owners and for neutrals and the press to bat back and say "you're stuck in 1995, you can't expect the owners to do what Jack Walker did, you're unrealistic and you're just unhappy with the owners because they're not Jack Walker." We all know this isn't true, but always got to consider optics and how these things are used against the fans.

"Turnover" for winning the ball or giving it away does my head in. Like it's some mystical art form.
