  1. Past hour
  2. Prepare for the narrative that the fire brigade are all snakes and out to get Rovers because they've closed down the stand. Couldn't be venkys fault, they never refuse to sign a cheque.
  3. 100%... I think the change works as a bit of a distraction...until excitement over the new signings turns into grim realisation..
  4. Such a passive way to admit blame. Their issues fall far below employing those 3. The first 2 were flawed brought as much as good as bad, especially Mowbray, and surely after Suhail's influence has come to light, Waggott was an issue but clearly never THE ISSUE over here. I expect us to thrive though now without those 3 at the club.
  5. Eh? We were willing to force him out to anyone willing to take him even when he didn't want to, and he's been playing (when fit) regular PL football and won a major trophy. This is entirely on our owners and no one else.
  6. Cheers. Roughly what I thought off the top of my head without totting it up. Without wanting to give them any credit, the gross amount spent is better than many feared but it counts for nothing if the ones coming in are no good and nil net spends are probably only going to send us in one direction in the long run.
  7. But in the context of all the Raya, Wharton, Szmodics money....
  8. If we have managed to get 1m plus for Leonard I am happy with that. Really hope we are not done yet. I would like to get Cadamerteri as new young striker, even if we loan him back to develop as a starter at Wednesday. I really want an experienced back-up English keeper, though this may be something they look at on a free after the window closes and players might accept less. Finally, I would like a top tier loan as well if that's a thing we can rustle up anymore, ideally a winger I think.
  9. It's fucking absurd they can steal him from us for £16m, do absolutely nothing to develop him, then ask for £150m 18 months later. Horrible club, I hope they get relegated.
  10. No contact from what I saw. Perhaps a calf injury?
  11. In that instance - Yes. Because they didn't appoint a decent DOF to support JDT. Just as they allowed Mowbray to trundle on for ages burning money and wages on the Road to Nowhere and employed Waggott for years to run the Club into the ground. Buck ultimately stops with the owners.
  12. Well, I do agree you have to give them time -that is just logical. And when people come on and say 'well, what else can you do, given the budget', you can't really argue with that either. But people are still going to get angry. All very frustrating.
  13. Just a guess but most likely it’s the truth
  14. Watching that makes me think they see him as a wide mid.
  15. And the wage bill suitably obliterated.
  16. Was it an impact injury or a pull up. I just saw him go down
  17. Apart from that.....all good though? (I agree BTW.)
  18. No, we're in the black. We're fighting against the tide.
  19. He didnt. He just talked about how he used to come up from the academy when we were a senior player short in training. Again, the blame goes to the wrong place. Broughton wasnt great but he did add some value. He made some good/very good signings and was proactive with contracts. He wasnt this disaster you made out to deflect blame away. As with every "era" or "project" it was the owners who stopped us.
  20. So, I think it was @Ossydave who said it was off because we wanted more. Sounds like he may have been on the money.
  21. As I thought, it's turning into another Stokegate.
  22. I fear Wharton maybe the next Jack Wilshere...Incredible talent but injuries will get the better...So unlucky.
  23. This transfer window has been poor. The squad is poorer than last year. The manager is a has-been that nobody else wants. The manager will be happy to be employed and pick up a wage. The chief operating officer (or whatever RGs title is) is unqualified to run this club. Pasha is totally unqualified to run a football club. The club is a basket case with a poor reputation unable to attract quality. The belief that this new model can give us promotion is naïve. The PR directed at leaving players is very sad and classless. The new alignment and model is likely to just about keep us in this league at best. Ismael will see out his contract –it would cost Pasha money to get rid. Having said that, Pasha has 2 fall guys in RG and VI. Take it lightly. They are just my thoughts. 🙂
  24. He can't catch a break as regards England can he?
