In an ideal world yes but football doesn't call into that category. The best managers can make the most of their resources but yesterday Ismael didn't and it contributed to the defeat. Whilst Carter is injured does that mean that Miller will start every game as our only right footed centre half? In my view it's cosmetic and illogical when it is to the detriment of the team. -

Ismael could be instructed to get Taveres as minutes as possible. Like the guy who is injured, club propaganda working overtime! From what I have seen both of those signings are very strange.. But some will believe both are better than Travis! -

For? Its embarrassing that 3 championship board members didnt vote so why a board with clubs members on it if they abstain in voting Why should the game not restart in 80 minute instead of a full game replaying? Also Cantwell's goal is written off but Greaves's red card still? So many inconsistent there -
Lancashire Telegraph BANNED.

And just go back a week and if we had beaten Ipswich, its would another different story and Ismael got his tactics spot on against a team should be automatic promotion contenders. -

I agree somewhere but I can understand you would like right foot and left foot at centre back ideally. Maybe during the first half we could have gone 3 at back and match us with them -

Why are the Lancashire Telegraph banned from Ewood. They've been reporting on Rovers matches since 1886. -

We need to put the Charlton game behind us, and get points on the board. Swansea and Stoke are far from easy games, they've both got off to a decent start. Let's pick the right team, and formation, and start winning at home. -

Pickering's looked off it for about 5 years so was never going to be a step up on Ribiero yesterday. Think that will be the same whenever you throw him in. -

Swansea have some very dangerous forwards. We will get a real hammering if we play like we did at the Valley. -
I’m certain they wouldn’t stoop so low

Agreed. I hope the groups within the coalition can agree a protest strategy. My own belief is that Venky's, Suhail...and Gestede should all be in the..er..crosshairs lol -
😂 sorry. A bit out of date.
-
The two at the Helmn now Gestede and Pasha are as bad as I’ve ever known and are not fit to be associated with the club. I am also of the opinion that Ismael was brought in to ensure that they had someone who would not rock the boat, when it was plain for all to see that they are at best incompetent, but perhaps it’s deeper than that. As we have seen over the last few days, they don’t like the local paper saying their bit about the shenanigans, so ensured this time, no JDT or Eustace type was appointed, just someone who is either complicit, or happy to turn a blind eye.

That would have been even funnier if US weren’t on 4.5 pts. 😁

Erstwhile U21 goal-getter here, Jack Vale, signed for Northampton, managed by Kevin Nolan. Interesting to see if he can stay fit and score some goals. Though, doesn't look likely to me as he struggled for goals in every loan spell he went on. Tyler Magloire was there before but released. He had a brutal knee injury that kept him out for over a year, ruptured ACL, MCL and torn meniscus. I read he is being looked at by Grimsby who have Zak Gilsenan. -
I feel like a new low has been hit over the weekend and there must be some very rotten and incompetent people in charge at Ewood. They've pretty much proved all the rumours right. 😔

Tommy Fleetwood 4 pts Entire US team 3.5 pts 😀

Awful, awful, awful. No one can be surprised given our transfer window dealings - in my view, simply disastrous. IMO, the 'mood music' around the club stinks. Spoke with a number of longstanding Roverites following yesterday's game and I would say levels of apathy and disdain are at an all time high. IMO, our club is dying and unless the likes of @glen9mullanand co can quickly pull a rabbit or two out of the hat then we are finished. -

Multiple comments on facebook sites from Charlton fans saying what the hell did Blackburns boss say to them at half time ? Very odd few days again at Rovers and i suppose something like that was par for the course. I stupidly expected all the nonsense from the last game and everything else in the background to have a galvanising effect. A bit like WBA away last season for example but we got the opposite. However when you've ripped the heart and soul and the few 'leaders' we did have out of the dressing room it's no real wonder it was so limp. Sadly i think there'll be a lot more like that this season. -

Alebiosu was really struggling after he got hurt and Charlton sensed he was struggling and played a few balls in behind him. He seemed to recover a bit but then aggravated it making a challenge close to half time. At first it appeared to be a kick which can normally be run off but the sight of him with a protective boot on post match was worrying. On Tavares he looked like a little boy lost at times. He wanted too much time on the ball and was out muscled far too many times. Baradji simply has to get up to speed quickly. Having to rely on a player like Tavares will invariably end up in the same way. -

I get that having a left footer and right footer may help in an ideal world. But life is about trade-offs , and surely having a make shift full back who is getting skinned alive by their winger is worse than it being a bit more tricky to pick passes into the right side of the pitch from centre half... I can accept that Ismael didn't realise that TGH was going to be taken apart at RB. But what I cant accept is bringing on Tavares who is no competitor at all, and not changing the RB again after 10 mins when it was obvious we had completely lost control of the game. Very interesting to see how Ismael responds now, especially if Alebiouso is out for Swansea. Ive got an awful feeling he might be the sort of manager to double down on his mistakes, hope I am wrong.
