  1. Past hour
  2. The riverside has buried many a player it has to be the miserablest stand in the league 🀣
  3. Another slooow first half from England against a lively senegalese side.
  4. ffs ...i'm just happy we signed someone before selling someone .... AND the FAX is working
  5. Just to throw another grenade in, at a family funeral in St Helens I got told he lives there. Not a million from Ormskirk to be fair.
  6. Gueye has also been a good pick up for the cost.
  7. Ohashi was very good, but you're being unfair on the others, Kargbo is an unknown after a couple of cameos, but Gueye was our best player in Jan-Mar until Ismael joined, and Toth looks a much more assured keeper than Pears.
  8. Would be similar to his Barnsley side which made the playoffs, so would make sense. Was also on a strict budget there. Kargbo was a 10 at Cesena, so deffo fits there, and can imagine he'd be a good foil for Cantwell.
  9. We need to have at least 2 options in every position but particularly in attacking areas. You need options off the bench more than ever, especially if Ismael plans to play a pressing game, he is known for regular subs on the hour mark once he has run his players into the ground. Kargbo and De Neve can presumably just rotate with one starting and the other coming on. Im not sure theyve worked out to the extent that we just give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that their judgement is really good. Ohashi has been a good pick up for the cost, Gueye a poor one and both Toth and Kargbo have not really played much. Hopefully this lad will be a shrewd addition.
  10. The interview with the Belgian journalist is rather more balanced than suggested above.
  11. If he's as quick as they make out, he should at least do ok for us. I'm guessing we've spent something like 200k... Tops.
  12. You'd have to be off your rocker In his own video does he acknowledge this is a big step for him... That's the quite part you're not meant to say that
  13. I don't like pretty players, so this lad looks the business.
  14. I have to say he looks like he spent last night hot boxing his car. But hey its the summer, they deserve a break!
  15. Pretty sure a change of formation to a back three is coming for next season given this signing (De Neve will be used as wing back) and rumours about getting centre backs in. A team looking to play with intensity and hitting teams on the break rather than relying on individual quality. Makes sense if you are cheap and not looking to spend money to get quality wingers or strikers (to replace Dolan for example). Wouldn't be surprised if Kargbo is shifted to a number 10 role if this scenario plays out. Toth Carter Hyam Wharton Brittain De Neve Travis Tronstad Cantwell Kargbo Ohashi Be interesting to see how Ribeiro and Pickering fit into this as neither is suitable for a wing back role. Pickering can act as a back-up in central defence but wouldn't surprise me if Ismael is looking to add athleticism across the park.
  16. Looking at the picture of him in the training top i can't help but wonder just how naff they will look without the Macron logo to make it look "authentic"...
  17. Steady on…years of process being abandoned hereβ€¦πŸ˜€
  18. Today
  19. we should give him a chance first before casting judgement
  20. Im inclined to give the scouts the benefit of the doubt as recent pretty random additions have worked out okay. Hope he is decent.
  21. You are Robbie Savage & I claim my Β£5
  22. It’s an absolutely shocking signing, it tells us all exactly where we are as a club! Fucking jokers!
  23. That’s wider of the mark than a Chris Brown shot tbh.
  24. Don't agree with Jimmy Armfield's old "Ewood Park isn't a crowd, it's a jury" quip. I'd say the Ewood crowd is as mild and forgiving as they come. Always has been imo.
  25. Interestingly, or perhaps not, a look at de neve's Instagram page has videos of a few goals, most being scored on his right. The YouTube highlights reel seemed to show him as left footed; we might actually have a winger willing to use his weaker side
  26. Subbed off after 58 minutes, hopefully just a friendly match rotation and not an injury.
