  1. Past hour
  2. I'm predicting a 1-1 draw for this. Gudjohnsen to get his first Rovers goal. Predicted team Toth Alebiosu Miller Wharton Ribeiro G-Hickman Tronstad Morishita Cantwell Hedges Gudjohnsen I just think, away from home especially Rovers could do with Gudjohnsen leading the line, with a bit more strength than Ohashi has. Love Yuki, but I'd have him come on as sub for this one. McLoughlin also unfortunate to not come back in after suspension, but would be harsh on Miller or Wharton to drop either of them them.
  3. Jimmie Rodgers - English Country Garden
  4. Small things would be classed as influence no? Sure it won't matter in the grand scheme of things but hey ho
  5. From an article: https://eflanalysis.com/news/the-efl-board-members-deciding-blackburn-rovers-and-ipswich-town-fate-as-teams-make-their-case/ Does sound like a much more involved process than first anticipated.
  6. Some of the best ideas are born out of situations like this. Perhaps this could be the new football version of the cricketing format Twenty/20. There are already talks taking place, of extending the play off positions, so how about the teams in 7th and 8th playing the teams in 5th and 6th away from home with a man short and a goal down, but only play 15 minutes each way. They would probably go at it hell for leather. To add a bit of an it's a knockout theme to it, soak the pitch beforehand and make sure the ball sticks in puddles and won't bounce. It is just a joke by the way, before anyone starts to tear into me.
  7. Opportunity here for the EFL and SKY to make a spectacle of replaying the last 20 mins. Tag the coverage on to before or after another decent audience fixture
  8. Today
  9. Fair point. Less than a year ago our match vs Pompey was delayed too so the EFL will probably factor that in when making a decision, but hoping we come out of this one with 3 points or continuing the match where we left off.
  10. Ref Watch: Blacburn-Ipswich abandoned at 1-0 in 80th min! Is it fair for game to be replayed? | Football News | Sky Sports https://share.google/5bq7q3VQaZpuM1yqo Notice patting the refs back on the way down the tunnel? Influential?
  11. a couple of other former U18s/U21s have found new clubs Teddy Ramwell is in Spain Tom Bloxham must love blue & white halves
  12. Given the reluctance to give first team squad players any game time I agree.
  13. Was a hell of a day out though wasn't it?
  14. Wait we have another fixture??? Nope won't do it, I can't move on from Ipswich 😆
  15. We may have Wood, Tyjon, Litherland, Michalski/Honor, and possibly Montgomery in todays side, but apart from that, it will be U18s I think
  16. How simple would it be to play out the last 15 pre next fixture
  17. Someone I know who is well connected in football admin circles is pretty certain they are considering “something other than a full replay”, else they would simply have announced the decision by now. I don’t know how much of this is guesswork and assumption on her part but the EFL reps met last night and you would think if the decision was to replay the game that would be announced quickly. I’m wondering whether they want to discuss the practicalities of replaying the last 15 minutes, 11v10, with the clubs?
  18. I think John Prince was taking the team with Tuffy assisting. It was a pretty dull affair, particularly in the second-half. Fully agree with arbitro about Batty. Really needs to move on for his own sake. Looks totally disinterested at Under-21 level and also caught out of position on so many occasions. Another game for the Under-21's today which I expect to be a very young side.
  19. Another member of staff gone, & to the Dingles https://trainingground.guru/bulletin-board/ Adam Collins has left Blackburn Rovers to become Head of Academy Operations at local rivals Burnley. Collins had been Head of Performance Analysis for both the first team and Academy at Rovers since November 2022. He has previously worked for both Manchester United, as Performance Analyst for the first team, and Manchester City, as Head of Performance Analysis for the Academy, as well as for Sheffield United and Scunthorpe United. Writing on LinkedIn about his new role at Turf Moor, he said: “It takes me back into the Academy and learning environment full-time, where my passion has always been….at an exciting time, with the Academy recently returning to Category 1 status.” Looks like he was already replaced over the summer
  20. Quite a bit of coverage on Rovers/Ipswich on Talksport this morning with Stelling and McCoist

  22. From afar (well the other side of the ground) it looked like Darragh Tuffy. The game itself wasn't much of a spectacle but to be fair it was one we could easily have lost. Our goal was terrific with an excellent touch from Mullarky-Matthews killing the ball which was a difficult one to control and playing in Boggan who made his mind up early and smashed the ball into the net. More worryingly was how sloppy we were in possession. Their goal came from Dunn trying to play a ball on the half turn without recognising that a Middlesbrough player behind him. There were many other examples of turning over possession cheaply through carelessness. Batty once again looked disinterested as he seemed to be going through the motions. On a night when the majority of players were worth 6 only Goddard rose above this. He was dominant when coming for crosses and made a few smart saves.
  23. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/september/22/report--rovers-under-21s-1-1-middlesbrough-under-21s/ Report from last night
  24. So nothing counts from that game except the red card from which someone other club will benefit and the cash that people paid to watch a game that's null and void? Way of the world! Presumably season-ticket holders won't be charged to see the "second" game!
