  1. Past hour
  2. It would absolutely hurt, no question, to see Trav lifting the playoff trophy would be absolutely gut wrenching but if that’s what it takes to get the media talking about the demise of Blackburn Rovers and the attraction of jumping from a club in the play offs to a club in danger of relegation, I’ll take it.
  3. Just seen Sheffield Wednesday have had a way better window than us in my opinion. Nakamba from Luton Amass Man Utd Jerry Yates Ethan Horvath Joe Lumley Jaden Heskey Nathan Redmond All better than we’ve bought in.
  4. Kinell that's more than enough of a link to get the alarm bells ringing.
  5. ChatGPT's take... as i shared the full list of next blackburn manager from oddschecker and someone RG can share his dulcet tones with... From your list, the clearest fit for “can speak French and is a oui man” (i.e., comfortable in French and likely to say oui rather than just English-only) is: 🇧🇪 Raphael Wicky 4 Swiss international. Switzerland has multiple official languages, including French. Wicky has worked in multilingual environments and speaks French. Also very likely French-speaking: 🇧🇪 William Still 4 Born in Belgium. Managed in France (Reims). Fluent French speaker. Possible French speakers (but less certain) Carlos Corberán – Spanish; may understand some French but not known primarily as French-speaking. Vito Pereira – Portuguese; has coached in various countries but no strong French link. Slaven Bilić – Multilingual but not known for French fluency. Not French speakers (generally English / Scandinavian / German / Iberian only) Most of the British and Irish names (e.g., Rooney, Gerrard, Mowbray, Southgate, etc.) are not known for speaking French publicly. Short Answer If you're looking for a genuine French-speaking “oui man”, your strongest bets are: ✅ Raphael Wicky ✅ William Still
  6. Coleman was in that section yesterday 🫣 Agent: "World In Motion" - Doesn't look like much of a Rovers link...only Toth & Alebiosu on their books as far as I can see.
  7. Chris Coleman haha bloody hell.
  8. Its baffling that we decided to keep Tyjon. Anything to do with the managerial change? Is Damien going to have him in the squad tonight and insist on playing him?
  9. That would just hurt too much for me. I doubt the owners even know who John Eustace is. And as for Gestede and Pasha they'll just mention that he wanted to move closer to his family home and that will be that.
  10. And has the same agent as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
  11. I'm a massive Asteras Tripolis fan as it happens...........
  12. Every time we get to this point people say: "We're a name, people will want to manage Blackburn Rovers" "It's a Championship job, there will always be takers" Etc, etc. Seriously, at this point, after managers effectively walking out 3 years in a row (Ismael technically sacked or mutual agreement, but he was clearly absolutely sick of it). Who other than grossly unqualifieds and absolute chancers are going to want this job? Everyone in football speaks to each other. Players, coaches, staff. Anyone with any credentials or reputation is going to know we're a complete basket case and will not be applying. That's why we got VI. One or even two failed managers in a row, and the next manager might think they're the one to turn it round. 3 managers in 3 years, always the second the Jan window shuts? It's a red flag you could see from space. All the names we're saying we would like - would you take the job if you were them? I wouldn't!
  13. Yes, absolutely. Not keen on Martin at all but at least he's demonstrated some competence in the Championship in his career. Coleman done nothing in club management in years.
  14. It'll be from the 30-1 plus section it always is.
  15. I’m kind of hoping Johnson until the end of the season. Fingers crossed Derby go up via the playoffs. Will be a bit heart wrenching at first, but the media will surely jump all over the fact Eustace left us in the playoffs, to take a team from the relegation zone to the Premier League in 18 months, with a number of former Rovers players & backing from the owners. A message of ‘this is what YOU could have had’. I’m certain it would get so much media coverage and the story of John Eustace would really rub Pasha & Rudy’s noses in it. They’d never admit they were wrong but there would be no escaping their colossal mistake. Could spell the end for RG and all of a sudden the Rovers job looks a bit more attractive. Edit: it’ll be 16 months!
  16. Ok - if you had to choose between Chris Coleman and Russel Martin. Would anybody choose Martin?
  17. It makes sense if Ismael has finally lost it with the clowns above him. He definitely should have been sacked based on results but it was clear they didn't plan to. I could easily see him steaming into Rudy and Pasha for the abysmal signings over summer and now in January, I was amazed he hadn't lost his head over the Hyam sale to be honest. Any other manager would have walked after they did that.
  18. Asteras Tripolis win % 23.1 Fuck me.
  19. Coleman was hopeless at Sunderland as the whole world could see from the documentary.
  20. I wonder if this is the time that Duncan Ferguson gets it
  21. Probably Gestede unhappy that Baradji and De Neve and Henriksson weren't starting every game. All just brought here to increase in value and move on quickly.
  22. Coleman?! Ismael - all is forgiven! Please come back.
  23. Caveat that it doesn't take much to move odds in a manager market (especially a Blackburn Rovers one), but somebody is backing it (note Mercers Stockport suggestion hasn't moved price at all so nobody is touching it).
  24. We did once 🙂 Speaking of favourite players... although it did not last long.
