  1. Past hour
  2. It sums up our club that our own COO has no idea whether a long standing member of staff still works here. Amateur is being generous.
  3. But my initial point was to dismiss the idea that we have discarded Travis (and the other departing players) because he has been left behind in our pursuit for better. We have successfully sorted one proper contract in 2 years. We arent willing to pay competitive Championship wages. Its not as if that £20k is there but we have decided to utilise it elsewhere. We have gone for players that will require much less in wages. We dont have to pretend that he is worse than he is because he has left either.
  4. They are part of the real problem!
  5. He shouldnt need to "press the owners." But they probably wouldnt have given him more money anyway. They havent in any of the Januarys since. Which i am sure you will pin on Mowbray too. It makes absolutely no sense for him not to want promotion. I have no doubt that he gave his absolute utmost to get results with the players he had. He just came up short. The initial theory that you said was that he actively told them that he didnt want more money. Which isnt true. If we fixate on people who pass through, similar to the Travis situation. Our angst goes to the wrong place.
  6. Anybody who refuses to play for Blackburn Rovers goes down a long way in my estimation. “ Legend “ - Who are you trying to kid ? Not me for sure.
  7. Derby were low balling us just like they were doing to sign Max Johnston
  8. Not a single sniff of a transfer rumour today...
  9. WWWD since I’ve lived here. Been in the crowd for ‘em all.
  10. Is it me or do I detect a swing towards RG's and VI's management strategy?
  11. We are never ever going to win enough with the present owners, are we! Theres no ambition! The club, for the last 15 nearly 16 years is set up to FAIL.
  12. Just when you think United can't get any more hilarious...
  13. He replaced Karl Hodges who went to Derby
  14. This is what gets me. Most of the players they have are talented and have shown they can do it at other clubs. Granted theres a few plodders but even excluding the new £200 million strike force, last season they had some good players. Everyone just seems to get worse there. Shows how rotten the club is. It's a shame...
  15. We won't get beat 6-0 again. Inspiring stuff. An utter fraud as others have said. If his philosophy doesn't work with Rangers having a massive budget over all but one of the other teams, then you can't see him having success or his plan working anywhere.
  16. He was the one player with the X factor. He could do things with a football that I could never do. So sad the injuries robbed him of what might have been.
  17. Not a phrase I've ever used, but hasn't Travis been one of the "rubber dinghy men" for the past few seasons? In fact captain of the rubber dinghy. it's football, it happens, it's totally detached from "real" life. Bullying? Come on, get a grip,it's as cut throat as it gets. The days of pinning colours to the mast for any player are well gone. I'll wish him well, thank him for his efforts and move on, probably won't even give him a second thought when we kick off on Saturday. The good news here is that the club might actually be starting to work more "normally". Cashing in on both Britain and Travis who wouldn't sign contracts is a welcome change of direction.
  18. David Raya?? Absolutely awful decision to flog him for what we did. I loved him and said across multiple platforms I thought he'd go to the top and play for Spain and a top team.. loaned in Walton as his replacement.. I used to love watching Raya warm up- so agile and amazing reflexes.. I'll never forget sitting their at ewood watching Walton warm up in a preseason friendly or training session at ewood and thinking 'Fuck me, what have we done!' Travis is a cracking player but he's not out player any more.. I certainly wouldn't advocate us spending 3m of our budget on him that's for sure..
  19. Yes - with the benefit of hindsight immediately after the promotion but even without hindsight definitely after the first season back in the Championship. Several completely wasted years followed.
  20. Brought in that Spanish coach, no?
  21. perhaps she has something to be bitter about?
