  1. Past hour
  2. It is a weird one. Prior to the Court Case Id have said it was feasible Pasha was keeping them largely in the dark but since then they've taken steps to reduce net funding dramatically so they can't now be completely unaware of what's going on although I doubt they know Sky Football has been axed in Blues sort of thing. I think that as a Premier League Club we were a useful vehicle for the Venky's brand and the upcoming launch of Venky's Express but that never happened and since relegation we've been no actual use to them just a drain on their resources. As such whatever interest they ever had has gradually tapered off. They seemingly had a temporary burst of enthusiasm after the promotion from League 1 which Mowbray managed to extinguish. Thereafter it was plodding along on the road to nowhere for several years until the Court Case which seemingly ended any interest they ever had. Now they're putting in the absolute minimum possible by combining selling anything they can with cutting costs to the bone. Presumably still wanting to avoid the shame back home of a business going bust. Obviously from Pasha and Gestede's point of view it's well worth spinning them this fairy tale about how they can spend no money and retain Championship status to keep themselves in lucrative employment for as long as possible. Where this ends for us as a Club is anyone's guess. We'll be lucky to retain League status the rate we're going and I dont think it will be gradual.
  3. Then Mowbary plays Giles out if position.
  4. indian pride is very serious in their business world, they can`t offload the club because they`de take a huge loss and would be a laughing stock among the circle of commerce, they`de then be shunned and become bad karma, the caste system, honour, pride and reputation are massive in india thats my take on it,they`ve had enough of owning a football club, but can`t get rid of it,so we are now a tiny corner in their empire that they are willing to just keep it existing
  5. Rev, when you were scribing for the Telewag did you get "suggestions" in what you should write or get negative feedback from any official entity for what you had written. Are you sworn to secrecy? Just curious if you had a knowledge if it. Different regime at the time but did you experience anyone trying to guide what you wrote?
  6. Capone was brought down just for TAX EVASION ...lol
  7. Parking prices increased...low pay staff having to pay for parking ...Sky sports removed from the blues bar ....wouldnt surprise me if the next step is charging people to take pictures of the statue of Uncle Jack Years of hell for us long suffering supporters and it doesn't look like ending anytime soon.It Is all very depressing
  8. Was the S Was Sunderland a Sunday afternoon game for some strange reason? Got beat 3 nil.
  9. I'm not paying anything to go into a bar when there's perfectly good pubs in the vicinity it's them we should be supporting
  10. I know right?? incredibly bizarre decision. What they gonna do next ban beer? Wait delete that...
  11. poor bobby had to get by on thin air for transfer fees, thought he did an absolutely fantastic job given his resources,we really should have been promoted in 84/85,top of the league at christmas but no reinforcements when injuries and tiredness kicked in😥sounds familiar, though in fairness the club was absolutely brassic at that time
  12. It's why I say we have the worst owners in football. They've not burned as brightly as some, but there seems to be no end to them - no light at the end of the tunnel.
  13. Mckinnon played away at Sunderland I think -for some bizarre reason I was there, a mate of mine made a totally random decision to scream up there in his XR3 i about 3 hours before kick off. I think you're probably right with the date of the demo against Saxton and it's the one Merce and I are referring to.
  14. A family worth multiple billions can't kick an overpromoted middle manager out? Just what does he have on them?!
  15. A shame the ownership isn't one of them. Still as long as they remain embroiled in an investigation and Court proceedings in India I will continue to hold out faint hope of it being brought to an end in the not-too-distant future.
  16. Yeah that seems to be the only thing that fits. Everything about how this club runs itself is bizarre... Sell, sell, sell every saleable asset. Sell your top scorer, the captain, the training ground, all at cut price. Generate millions in sales. Don't ever reinvest proceeds so you have more assets to sell, just keep selling. Don't offer reasonable contracts. Don't spend more in the hopes of attaining PL payoff (despite repeatedly missing it by a fraction). Just don't reinvest, this is important. Get manager in. Win them over with talk of 'the project'. Don't keep to the plan. Make false promises. Make bizarre statements in the press showing complete lack of inter-departmental communication. Deliberately antagonise said manager (especially if club seems to be doing alright). Persuade them to leave to another club (usually of lesser standing) out of seeming despair. Get new manager in. Rinse repeat, this is important. Run club into the ground. Allow agents to take massive cuts. Allow spurious foreign court cases to be used to justify poor running of club, but give no concrete answers. Make statements in the press saying you don't want to sell, despite no seemingly good reason to keep club. Keep letting club decline. Make bizarre and totally unprofessional transfer U-turns at the last minute. Blame the fax machine (TWICE !). Dash club's legacy and reputation. Allow attendances and loyal paying customer base to decline. Don't be transparent about who is actually running the club. Don't have ambition or use resources to improve club, this is important. Tinfoil hat on here, but imo either we're being kept for accounting purposes or just Pasha et al have Venkys completely in the dark, and are just using this club to keep their pockets lined. Nothing else makes sense - I cannot believe that a multi-billion pound enterprise runs its subsidiaries this poorly. Venkys (and their merry men) out!!!
  17. A lot has changed at Ewood since the restrictions were put onto any money they send over.
  18. in my opinion ...started of as an ego trip , evolved to a milking job , now a mess to kick down the road
  19. I remember a demo against Saxton following a bad defeat that would be November /December 86, he was sacked after a couple bad Xmas results, one being at Hull and it that was bloody cold, I think Mckinnon played..
  20. Errrrr.......I think you've answered your own question there!
  21. So if that's the case - what's in it for Venky's - nothing whatsoever seemingly other than the opportunity to run up a mountain of debt secured against their assets.
  22. Is that an extra £15 every time you go in Jack's or a one off £15 charge as part of a seasonal upgrade to your Blues membership?
  23. Today
  24. Nobody ...i mean NOBODY can and will boot him... not even Venkys ... its pasha's PROJECT ...Venky's are on for the ride
  25. After we got relegated to the old Div 3 in 1978 (?) everyone flooded onto the pitch to show support for caretaker boss John Pickering who, despite being dealt a very difficult hand and being given no financial support, was actually very popular. Could it have been that? Then we got Howard. What a turnaround.
  26. That's right. No thought for reinvestment. No thought for improving the team. No thought for promotion. He also arrogantly said "I'm not going to ask them for £15m-20m, it's not sustainable". The context to this...he stated in a previous meeting that he was going to ask the owners for a bigger budget for this summer. When questioned on this by Glen at the fans forum meeting, the above was his retort. Pasha also stressed that the budget will not be affected at all by player sales. Even in the hypothetical scenario that Gueye was sold for £20m, the budget does not increase. It remains fixed as it is. So lets get this straight: 1) Pasha has never asked the owners about using a percentage of transfer fees received to reinvest into the squad. 2) Transfer fees received do not impact on the budget at all. It will not increase. 3) Pasha believes spending more doesn't guarantee a jump in League position (apply the same wisdom to the idea of promotion) 4) Pasha did not ask the owners for a bigger budget and won't ask for £15m-20m as it's not sustainable. On the latter...he seems to be deciding off his own back what is, and what isn't, sustainable. Why doesn't he let them decide that? Also, how many times over the last 10 years has he had this thought and therefore refrained from asking the owners for money? I wonder... He's on £500k a year and has been here for 10 years. Why is he here and for what purpose? He isn't advising the owners on promotion, so what advice is he giving? There's something not adding up here. Without any doubt, our fanbase must unite to drive this obstacle out. The podcast with Glen is a great starting point to educate people on what we are dealing with. There's no way Pasha is on our side here, for me. He isn't Rovers. His arrogance, his dismissive answers and his disdain for Rovers fans attending a meeting shows that. He needs booting out.
