I was hoping our long time Burnley contributors would come on at some point and give us the lowdown on this seasons going on at ‘Turf. They were on here more than I was last season, almost on a daily basis. What can have gone wrong ? -

My first impression on seeing the highlights was it wasn’t worth a red card. He was too far out from goal and the cover was coming across. Having said that there will an incident exactly like that somewhere this weekend at it will be a red card. -

Slot's tactics are slower than Klopp. He doesn't want to press high from minute 1. They are playing less long balls than last season and want to the ball more at the back. Missing Trent at right back cos Frimpony hasn't been fit enough. Maybe he needs to play Isak and Etketie together up front. Writz just off them.

Questions from the public 😂 I think it will be Rudy interviewing him about his playing days, the project and how important it is to look for value in transfers… Possibly round off by pulling out a list of his favourite cheeses before singing ”can’t touch this” when GM removes his disguise and asks if he is worried about being unpopular having taken us into the bottom 3… -

From an account called 'Peter of Preston'. Go figure. Almost certainly a WUM account and a supporter of the most boring club in England. A club more famous for a spud van sponsorship than actual football. As much as there are Venky sympathisers in our fanbase, I'm yet to see or hear any of them suggest they should have a statue outside Ewood. That's too far, even for them. The rest of that quote is along the lines of what the lost and the bots come out with quite often, though.

Could be a touch of the dad's army sketch here with the German officer puts any ones name in the book for future reference who asks a difficult question. You may have to submit all your details before you get to ask a question. Black listed supporters refused entry. Any of the above is possible these days. -

A goal scoring opportunity is a bit of a grey area, technically anywhere on the pitch is a goalscoring opportunity. he never had the ball under control , when he went down it was bouncing above his head. an argument that as he was so far out and ball still had to be controlled it gave Davies more than enough time to get back plus the Ipswich player has in no way deliberately tripped him, it was a tangle of legs, I for one would be annoyed if it were the other way around, otherwise the suggestion is if you don’t want sent off you stop trying to get back, not a situation I want to see in the game. it’s at best a 50/50, either way the ref called it there is an argument for, it’s annoying me that some folk are so adamant that it’s a certain red. It most certainly is not -
Their wages were 22 million and it just says other expenses 6.4 million. They lost 14.3 million. Bolton's for 23/24 were interesting. They don't detail the revenue the same so i couldn't see their matchday ticket revenue but their food and beverage revenue alone was 2.84 million. Their revenue in total was 21.9 million but they wouldn't have got nearly as much tv money. Think it is or was about 2 million.

The club was losing money before the Walker family sold the club, and was the main reason for selling. The Venkys should have a statue outside the ground. The supporters have now benefited by £212 million pounds. And the club is still losing money. This endless harping about Venkys ruining the club is ridiculous. Look at Sheffield Wednesday if you want to look at the ruinious ownership of a club. Blackburn Rovers, with gates as they are, is unsaleable at any price. No one would be daft enough to take it on. And there are more, that was just one of the more demented posts

A Club in admin versus a Club that are being run like one in admin. This match could end up like two bald men fighting over a comb. I suppose if nothing else, if we get beaten, it will shoot holes in the "Where would we be without Venky's?" argument. -

Whether it lack of form, a lack of intensity, or innumerable other scenarios it's hard to pinpoint what Liverpool are doing wrong as seemingly every game it's something new. Against PSV last week they were woefully lazy, yet last night it was van Dijk making 2 mistakes in short time that cost them a goal. Slot has to fix it, but I think he's struggling too. What I see is a team that isn't working hard without the ball, and a team that's ponderous with it. For many minutes last night with Liverpool in possession is was like watching a handball match. They kept the ball for long periods passing it to the middle, out wide, then back to the middle again without ever getting the ball into the box. It's so easy to defend against. Last season Diaz and Nunez offered lots of running off the ball, but the midfield behind them did too and the personnel there has not changed, so why is it so bad? I can't see an upturn anytime soon. Slot needs to go back to early Klopp and go for 5-4 wins rather than last season's suffocation tactics.
