Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

It's probably from reading people like me on here, saying that I think Ismael is a dud manager and that Gueye is one of the worst players in the club's history. It is harsh sentiment, but it's not abuse and it's an opinion about a professional's ability to do a job they're paid to do. I spend all my hard earned money following this dud manager and these crap players round the country, so I can say what I like about them as long as it's not illegal or bigoted. -

We could play with two 10's in a 3-4-2-1. Cantwell and Mori coming in as the 10's with One of De Neve or Ribeiro giving the width in the 4 alongside whatever combination of TGH, Tronstad, Baradji and Forshaw is fit. The lone striker a tough one as Andri scores but Yuki presses -

Hands up, I didn't even recognise the player delivering this nonsense - although to an extent it demonstrates my ignorance, that's what they've reduced us to. Serious question: Is this claptrap in response to a specific incident or is it just a "We dont want to hear any criticism inside the stadium?" type thing? -

He was playing right back/wing back for Hibs and Australia. He isn't going to be attacking right wing back/right back as Alebiosu but I think he is than capable of filling in for him until he is back
-
He does play at right wing back for Australia. Not that I have watched those, so I couldn't tell you how well he fits that role

I think he’d like to be a Cantwell style player but he’s miles off at the moment. -
I don’t fancy Miller at right back to be honest. He doesn’t look nippy enough to me. Plus his passing leads me to think his crossing of the ball will be a bit slap dash. Right side centre half is probably his limit.

2 points from a possible 9 in the last 3 fixtures (albeit one abandoned) tells the depressing story - the trajectory is clearly swinging downwards and the fixture pile up, pitch problems on wet days, long term absentees from the matchday squad and a general air of doom and gloom means... feck all in this league. We could do with a couple of sublime Alebiosu / Gudjohnssen combos tomorrow, and a cheeky Mori or Yuki top up to crown another 'unexpected' positive result for Roving Rovers on the Road. More likely it seems like the wheels will finally bounce off and we will be left careering towards oblivion. Not feeling the 'we can beat this lot' vibe at all. Deffo dont see Tavares as Cantwell's type player. I don't see him as defensive midfielder either -
I rather have another promotion on my CV than another relegation on my CV. You are obsess with financially matters like its the main thing. Rob Edwards would have plenty of money already. He ain't short of it. I think Boro was a better bet to be successful and have better financially better than Wolves is. Steve Gibson is a fantastic owner.

He’s not got the qualities you need to play that role. First and foremost, you have to play in a disciplined fashion. You need to be able to spot danger before it happens, intercept play, tackle, move the ball on quickly, and don’t get drawn out of position when you have possession. Lots of opponents will let you carry the ball forward when you’re playing in that position, they’re hoping to catch you downfield when they win the ball. None of this fits the bill with Taveres as far as I can see. I see Taveres as a Cantwell wanna be. -
What can you do about the kick offs when the world cup is in Canada, Mexico and USA? FIFA's ticket price is ridiculous and unnecessary

Who exactly is supposed to have been abused, other than us fans for the last 15 years? I don't condone personal abuse of any kind, but if you poke a bear you get a reaction, albeit Rovers fans have always been more of the Care Bear variety, not verocious at all, but it is the quiet ones you should not start baiting. Getting McCloughlin to come out to give this message is also pathetic from Pasha, the owners and Gestede, whoever made this happen, you'd get more respect if you fronted up yourself rather than putting a player in front of the camera who I don't believe anyone has any anomosity towards. They will use this to ensure any sign of descent in the crowd is dealt with by ejections, because they now have this excuse of "abuse won't be tolerated", I didn't think the owners/leaders could stoop much lower, but they keep exceeding expectations. -

The best role for him would be at a different football club in a much lower league. -
Football sadly has long ceased to become a game directed for the benefit of the fans. Prices, kick off times, further attempts at greed, we are just collateral damage.
-
Lots of I think and guesses as to what might have happened at Boro but ultimately he will be better off financially, he will be probably living back at home and they are factors you ridiculously said at the time he shouldnt consider. And backed up with saying that Theo Walcott said the same as if that was a clincher! Money is still important even if you earning a good wage to begin with, its better to have a lot more.

I think the interview was with BBC Lancs, post Oxford game I think.

If our quasi-oligarch owners really are so rich, why aren't they treating us like a frivolous plaything, like other unfathomably wealthy, psychopath owners? Yeah yeah, FFP limits how much they can invest in the playing squad... fine (I probably accept, and espouse, such arguments more than I should). But what's stopping them from investing millions in Ewood and reviving it such that it's one of the best stadiums and matchday experiences in England? (or at least a goddamn drainage system that actually works?) What's stopping them from subsidising a top-flight women's team? Boom, obvious goodwill and PR. Why all the murmurs and handwringing about the immense costs of a Cat 1 Academy? Fuck the cost. You should be able to take legitimate pride in producing the likes of Adam Wharton, not belatedly mumbling about not realising how good he is. Sustainability this, financial implications that... fuck that. Sell some tract of land in India that you own for god knows why and blow it on Rovers infrastructure and the wider community. Stop pretending Rovers are some sort of long-term investment that will eventually pay off* and embrace the insanity of being rich enough to own a sports club. *Probably the fiction they need to spin to India's 'Enforcement Directorate'. (I honestly wonder if this line of attack could effectively hit their pride...) -

2 weeks before Xmas feels like a hell of a time to discover I'm not real. Then again, if I don't exist, then Venky's don't exist too right. Every cloud.

Completely agree with the midfield pairings but tbh, I'm yet to find a midfield pairing I do like. Tronstad has to be 1 of the 2 in any pairing but: Sonny & TGH: Best we can do at the moment. Not enough creativity between them. Sonny & Forshaw: As above but with slightly less energy as Forshaw hasn't got the legs anymore. Sonny & Taveres: Just the worst pairing. They both end up occupying the same space. Taveres is the opposite of the high workrate of TGH. Sonny & Montgomery: Montgomery has the energy and work rate but has gotten lost in games to an extent and also has the same lack of creativity as TGH. Sonny & Baradji: Feel like this will be the one for a few months at the end of the season before Sonny leaves in the summer and we're back to square 1.
