It was a penalty and Henderson should have been sent off earlier in the match. Not sure anyone can use that final as an example of VAR helping out the 'big clubs'.
-
You can disagree with me, but the reasoning that you use is poor. 15 years ago we would have been laughing at Burnley had they been turning up to FA Cup finals with flags to support an ex-player. There are few examples that are more indicative of just how far this club has fallen. We could run through a list as long as my arm of academy players or 'Blackburn lads' who didn't get this type of attention when they left.
-
Why do you keep checking into it then? I think it's cringe how many people are commenting on a topic they claim to not care about, telling others they shouldn't care either. Seems to happen a lot on here though, the data thread was clogged with similarly strange input. If you don't care about it, don't come here and read about it, it's not hard.

2025 Summer Transfer Thread. 😂
bluebruce replied to Upside Down's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
We can know this, with an extremely high degree of certainty, because we all understand the English language, and the difference between saying something is 'maybe' the case, versus stating that it is the case. -
If they insist upon keeping VAR, then they should change VAR rules so that if VAR cannot say for certain within 30 seconds, then the refs/linesman's original decision stands
-
over 5 minutes for a VAR check in the WHU vs Forest game. pathetic and it wasn't a hard decision to make either

how is the role cheaper please? The salary isn't mentioned in the Job Advert but the salary even on minimum wage will be around 24k a year -
Never a penalty, and VAR called it one. Just lends credence to my thoughts that it is all about helping the big clubs. Game is rigged anymore. Never in a million years a penalty it's a yellow for the diving cheating pillock. VAR just served to validate cheating.

Adam Wharton
Tyrone Shoelaces replied to Atko's Engine's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
It wasn’t a game for Wharton to shine in. There was hardly anybody in front of him to pass to. Having said the thst he showed another side of his game. He defended diligently with good discipline like the rest of the Palace team. Another thing I don’t like about City is this tactic where if they are beaten by an opponent who’s breaking away their first reaction is pull the opponent back by the shirt/arm etc. They were at it again yesterday throughout the game. It’s creeping in to other teams as well. -

Pure guesswork i'd say she perhaps fancied a change or retirement and they have agreed whilst there is a bit of money coming in because they think they'll replace her with an up and coming - cheaper - new person. That's how it seems to work down there. - Today

We will never know for sure, we can all make untrue rumours like Rovers wouldn't pay Murray release fee which I don't see as the case. Nothing wrong with some loyalty -
There’s a difference between the back and forth about the fee (has got tedious, hands up) and wanting him to do well in his career.

I’m an East Lancs lad and I think this thread gets increasingly cringe by the week…

Henderson was the one who lost it in front of the BBE when he was playing for Shrewsbury in our promotion from L1 season. Epic tantrum
-
I went to Goodison Park once, we lost 3 nil with Salgado in one of his first game. We were shocking poor Bramley Moore Dock looks a great stadium and hopefully we can get a FA cup draw there in January

Thanks, but he is very clearly just speculating there. He says maybe. When @unleaded knows things he doesn't talk like that, he confidently asserts. -
We don't have to spend the entirety of our interest in football on purely Blackburn Rovers current issues in order to not have a tiny club mindset. We can love the club, want it to succeed, think we are a sleeping giant, and still follow the exploits of a Blackburn born, Rovers trained ex player who is a fan. The two things are not mutually exclusive. There's only so much you can talk about current club events without becoming afflicted with clinical depression anyway...

He has the potential to become a world class player. He was hardly going to slum it at this ambitionless circus in the Championship for too long and waste his career. He didn't force the club to sell him, in fact the rumours were that the club basically forced him to leave, saying they needed the money to keep running.
