  1. Past hour
  2. Yes it is ironic that those that call us ‘negative’ are the ones with such a negative view of Blackburn Rovers and what it could be.
  3. It's a real shame that people have such a downbeat and pessimistic approach to life. Never wanting or demanding better for the Club because of a baseless belief that there is no better option than Venkys. I say it is baseless because all the evidence we have available is what has happened at other comparable clubs, and the clear pattern is that all comparable clubs have changed hands to new ownership without collapsing into oblivion. I often get called negative and pessimistic - I admit I am due to the unrelenting misery we've had during the last 15 years - but I still believe in a better future for this club and won't accept the disgrace that it has become. Whereas those who are quite content to accept this situation and even go further than that and criticise / rubbish those who do want better. With such attitudes permeating the place its hardly a surprise that the town and club have ended up in the appalling state they both are.
  4. On Hedges I would say is we are quite a radically different system now where he is playing a very different role (as a wing back with two strikers up top) so not sure how useful referring back to previous seasons performances is really. I quite like Hedges offensively in the new system, it suits him. He's better combining with players than trying to beat someone on his own, and the way we are setup hes got a lot to work with. But defensively we do need the wing backs to get back quickly when we lose possession which De Neve and Alebiouso are brilliant at. Hedges i dont think really has the engine for it.
  5. Even with chants ringing there were many with zipped mouths upper jack. But I did notice it to be more vocal than normal.
  6. Not to say that this makes Jordan Rhodes a good (or bad) choice as Rovers loan manager, but shows that even at well run clubs (who do not penny pinch), recently retired former players (with no experience) are often the go to choice for this role That being said, the loans which have been sanctioned this season, both before and after Rhodes took charge, have been underwhelming in the main
  7. Today
  8. We could all bring our watering cans!!
  9. He is a club plant - The things he spouts is what you'd expect SP or RG to say.
  10. Still a very sizeable number within Ewood too of that mindset, don’t let the chants fool anybody.
  11. I never go on X. However I went on for 5 minutes yesterday, I saw a Rovers 'fan' stoic something or other telling people nobody's ever bid for us and we aren't a club people would buy. I nearly broke my phone. With fans like that who needs enemies. Up there with "nothing special about Blackburn Rovers". Wouldn't even accept that people may have bid as it wasn't in public domain. I was a bit naive to the scale of Venkys euphoria on social media.
  12. … and this is why we have to educate people. Education, education, education as a politician once said. I think that if people can see an alternative, they’ll soon start changing their mindset.
  13. The people in charge at the Rovers, will not know what you mean.
  14. It makes me angry thinking about them, they picked up a stable premier club, made disgusting decisions and took awful advice and got it relegated to the championship and just left it to rot and go to league one, sell the club
  15. I'm pretty sure the 125th anniversary was also commemorated the 2000/01 season. I can't speak to the earlier ones as I wasn't born. If we were formed in November 1875 then that would have been during the 1875/76 season which would mean that celebrating 00/01 and 25/26 makes the most sense. Thought I don't know whether they had official 'seasons' at that point as there was only exhibition games and the cup which was annual. We only formally existed for ~2 months of 1875, so it makes less sense to celebrate in the 10 months prior.
  16. Yep.. And I think it is even worse than that. It's like some awful psychological symptom of Stockholm syndrome. Victims internalising the messages from the abusers. "This is our lot. No-one can save us. We have reached our natural level. There can never be a way out. Living in this nightmare is predictable at least. It is who we are..." Bastard Venky's and parasites OUT!
  17. You see the difference in Gudjohnsen when he gains confidence during a match - it's like a switch flicks and he's a different player. Hopefully as he becomes more settled at the club we'll see that consistently across matches as opposed to short bursts. Whilst as it stands I still I don't consider De Neve to be up to standard, I will say that he has the footballing intelligence that a player like Kargbo lacks. He generally understands when to run and what position to be in to receive dangerous passes. That will cause some problems for the opposition, even though much of it will be squandered for numerous reasons. Hedges has had years to show he's anything above average and has never come close to doing so outside of the occasional match here and there. Don't think that's a case of 'card marked' as much as the reality of what he's capable of on a regular basis.
  18. It's a good question, I don't know. I'm saddened there hasn't been a more cutting response. Maybe there will be.
  19. Not sure about that, ‘sort it out’ definitely, but not ‘sacked in the morning’. But regardless, long time since a manager has seen Ewood turn.
  20. I think a lot of the crowd chanted for him to go during the Boro game last season iirc and poss the Sheff Weds game. He hasn't reached the level of vitriol I have for SK or even Coyle, I don't think any manager will make me feel like SK did. At the moment he's at the Paul Ince threshold with me - rubbish, clueless and arrogant. I want him gone but at the same time I'm frightened about what happens after that, still a roll of the dice under these lot.
  21. He owns like 3/4 clubs so wouldn’t want him to take us over (but a lot better than venkys), just want an owner who cares and has the best interest of Blackburn rovers and its community
  22. Hope John Textor isn't one of those bidders. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6740730/2025/10/27/wolves-john-textor-bid/
  23. It's all a bit confusing. From this it looks like the 50th season was 1924/25 and the centenary season was definitely 1974/75. So the 150th season was 2024/25. So we have switched from celebrating the number of seasons played to the number of years since formation ? Presumably the club played a season before its 1st birthday and we are now in season 151 ?
  24. They are lazy, throwaway comments from supporters who haven't done any research.
  25. “Who will buy us” “look at the likes of bury” “they are keeping us afloat” “we’re punching above our weight” “we should be grateful for them” “they cover the lack of income due to bad revenue” “they put 20 million a year in”. Sure I am missing a few others, these narratives I see from people on X need rubbishing, a club with rich history and nobody will buy it? this club has lost its way due to these owners and THEIR bad decisions, why should we accept this sh*te because of them.
