  1. Past hour
  2. You’re happy we’ve triggered hedges, who hasn’t been a success at rovers.
  3. I don't follow Orient particularly closely if I'm being honest. I thought there would be a decent chance after a season of pro football with our thin budget he may have been looked at. Hopefully we are onto bigger and better things, I'd be very happy if we were.
  4. Not anywhere assume he's been offered a deal externally.
  5. Only a matter of time, probably not true yet as that would be impressive work even by Venky pond life standards to force a manager out before his first transfer window has even opened. But it will come. Once he realises that he'd get more backing, clarity and plan working at Clitheroe he'll set the wheels in motion Remember - the last two preferred unemployment and a high risk of League One with Derby County rather than stay at this stinking cesspit. If that doesn't tell you a story nothing will.
  6. why would we offer him anything? has he been a success at Orient?
  7. Markanday not being offered anything may show just how little money the manager has to play with next season.
  8. yes we all know what you think of Hedges as a player, gloating? give it a rest RF99 with stirring the pot, I am just pleased we have released him now. right decision what is serious club?
  9. Forshaw I imagine they have low balled and will approach him late in the window (similar to McFadzean last summer) if he hasn't sorted himself out by then
  10. we paid 500k for him, but he has hardly been a success at Orient in the second half and was on the bench for their playoffs game. How much do you really think we would get and surely its best we done the right thing and get rid, he isn't good enough and we didn't take easy call as others say we would?
  11. erm.... s I was saying, we have about 5 training keepers lol Madness
  12. Don’t celebrate too soon… ‘As the summer transfer window progresses, the club will keep in close contact with midfielder Adam Forshaw, who made 17 appearances after arriving at Rovers from Plymouth Argyle in January, however the 33-year-old is entitled to explore other options.’
  13. Interesting to see that we are still collecting keepers like they're pokemon cards but have released shit tons of players elsewhere. I'm confused by this 'strategy'. However it certainly makes sense to say bye to Vale, Eastham, Whitehall (sadly, too many injury concerns), Gilsenan (same as Whitehall), Forshaw (thank fuck), and most of the ones released. Surprised to see Markanday released though, didn't we have a 1 year option? Surely we could have got a small fee for him, or at least a sell on. We paid money for him, a fair bit, you'd think we want some return for that. I can only think his wages are too high for the level of club we think would be interested.
  14. In fact, Khan has had a 1 year option activated and Goddard has been offered a new deal.
  15. Unfortunately can't cross from deep (or anywhere really) to be effective as a wing back imo. Hedges is a bit of conundrum. Great energy, quite strong, reasonable technique for 1-2s etc, can create goals by coming inside and poking the ball through for the forwards as he has a few times recently. But for a midfield player has absolute zero long passing game and always has his head down. On the ball his perception of what's going on doesn't exist beyond 10 yards from where he has the ball. I'd definitely keep him as he's useful, particularly when we are looking to keep it tight defensively and have someone to carry the ball up the pitch. But as Tom says we really should try improve on him so he becomes a bench player.
  16. Forshaw sadly screams sign half way through pre season unfit because weve got no one in with the way thats worded. Hedges as mentioned, stupid to extend. Love chaddy gloating about Markanday as if the message is, see we are a serious club.
  17. You say 'lighten up' as if we're absolutely furious. It's just an opinion. In fact it's an opinion I was more vociferous about when I was the age in question. I called my mates out on it plenty of times when they came back from hols sporting a Barca shirt or something.
  18. I am surprised we let Markanday go as I assume after a decent season in the lower leagues he is worth something? But maybe there is a contractual impediment to activating the option to only try and sell?
  19. Is that Silver Eze not stopping on??
  20. I'd rather keep Goddard or even Kahn. Young enough to be useable as u21 regulars or emergency bench cover that doesn't use a squad space.
  21. Well Mark it wasn't triggered and the easy option wasn't taken here
  22. That and giving Weimann another season tells me all I need to know about our lack of ambition.
  23. The club wouldnt be posting articles on the website if he was going was the point
  24. Retaining Hedges is a waste of time, but I know why we’ve done it- because he’s cheap.
  25. Pleased Batth and Weimann have been offered new deals. Hedges squad player. Surprised Batty got a new contract. Markanday has been released @MarkBRFC like I hope for. rightly so. Not good enough. I have Surprised Forshaw hasn't had been offered a new contract given Ismael comments post season and the fact he was picked over Buckley and JRC.
  26. Well it’s a moot point now, he’s off
