  1. Past hour
  2. Perhaps in the future there will be an 'Evening with Rudy' where he explains how to clear out a squad, reduce budgets, transform a potential promotion side to a side just above relegation and instill a culture of fear with the minimum of experience and know-how.
  3. I can only assume that they mistakenly think that McLoughlin is capable cover/competition for Wharton in the middle, and that they already had Miller & O'Riordan for the right, so they wanted someone to compete with Pratt on the left Personally, I would have gone for someone who could play in the middle, and have McLoughlin competing with Pratt on the left (Pratt would wins hands down for me, but it now feels like he will struggle for game time as they will have assured Brighton that Cashin will play no matter what)
  4. Probably because Ismael knew Cashin was going to be signed, and he didn't want to look stupid.
  5. *cliche alert* “This felt like the right place at the right time. Oxford United are a Club with good foundations, ambition, and a playing group with significant potential, and that matches exactly where I am as a coach. “I want my teams to work hard, attack with purpose, and play with a clear identity. Everyone has to understand their role, be accountable, and deliver consistently. “I can’t wait to get out onto the grass and begin working with the players and staff to help this Club push forward this season and beyond.”
  6. I'd take colby Bishop in a heart beat
  7. Our relegation rivals Oxford, have appointed Matt Broomfield as their new head coach.
  8. Longer than that, he’ll be back in 3 weeks or so
  9. Harold Bishop would probably get a game up front at the minute.
  10. I forget he existed to be fair but yes ideal chance to integrate him a bit
  11. Ismael specifically said that we wanted a left footed centre back, hence signing Cashin. I dont know why.
  12. Before I start, I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm just providing you with the information so that you've got some anecdotal stuff to consider. Since new year, I've asked at least 7 (2 today) if they're boycotting and not one is. One of them goes from a pub in Darwen and doesn't know anyone from that pub who is boycotting. Nobody I've asked even seemed to consider it. Maybe someone else has any info
  13. ‘In the end the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it’.
  14. Jack was a no nonsense say it how it is bloke. These pillocks wouldn't be here a week if Jack was here and knew what was happening
  15. The only positive about that interview is that Gudjohnsen, Mori and Forshaw are all about 2 weeks away from a return.
  16. Today
  17. Some idiot on X. "That's not the Jack Walker I want to remember. He was never aggressive like that." Venkys could have turned bloody Gandhi aggressive.
  18. Sumer transfer window so bad that half of the players signed were so rubbish in the position that they were signed for, that the entire formation had to be changed, despite having zero back up at either wing back, or up front Most couldn't mess things up that much if they tried
  19. Bit in bold… In its own way it’s impressive to create a squad which is better in 3-5-2 whilst signing players you intended for 4-2-3-1.
  20. Chaddy won’t be back on until there is a signing
  21. I’d actually take Bishop as a backup striker. A goal every 240 minutes last season in this league is better than Ohashi. Before that he scored 41 goals in 2 seasons in league one and won Pompey player of the season. (A goal every 180 mins). Clearly having a bad year this year.
  22. We'll probably end up with worse than the likes of Colby Bishop
