  1. Past hour
  2. He played in a preseason for Sligo Rovers other day.
  3. Then you’ll remember the boos which went around Ewood as well
  4. Yeah if he was even a yard quicker he would be dangerous, but he gets forced inside all the time. His bulking up a couple of seasons ago was a mistake imo as it obviously slowed him down, when he already wasnt quick by Championship standards. Kargbo has pace so maybe has a higher "ceiling" as the pundits like to say.
  5. It's long standing interest allegedly we've enquired about him before so it's either we are waiting for desperation from Hull/the player (like when they got Hyam) or it's just the usual lazy journalism.
  6. Loans are normally the end of the windows when the prem clubs have sorted their own transfers
  7. It has been an exciting summer though. Just not at Ewood.
  8. This feels like a huge overreaction to me. Far more pressing things to be concerned about than wearing an away strip for a home friendly.
  9. The problem there is that it was not our marketing people who were inspired to do this. It was allegedly a request from Everton to benefit them, which Rovers readily went along with
  10. Really expected some loans and frees lined up once the window opened but not a peep on anything of the sort.
  11. Breezed passed the 300 mark. A bit of a mix up at mid-wicket on 295 but otherwise no real excitement.
  12. Rovers advanced talks : Good morning.
  13. It's a shirt in one pre-season match. As ever, the offer still stands for you to represent BRFCS on the Forum instead of sniping on here.
  14. I disagree, being small he has a good change of direction, but in my opinion he hasn't got pace, be it in a burst or any other form.
  15. Yep. O'Rourke was pretty much gospel a few years ago but he's less reliable than Nixon these days.
  16. Today
  17. I’m with RevidgeBlue on this. Who can forget the pride we all had when Tony Parkes dished out the proper Rovers shirts for the presentation at Wembley in 1992
  18. I probably worded it poorly, but by breaking into the first team, I don't mean the squad itself, but actually becoming a consistent figure in the first 11. Even in 22/23, he played in nearly every match, but he was a sub for 19 of those appearances. It was only in the last 2 seasons that he was really first choice for his position and considered an integral part of our plans and system.
  19. "It's only a shirt". Sums up everything wrong with the Forum. Next stop - " They were only blue and white halves - I'm not sure what you're bothered about" In fact it seems we're half way there already.
  20. We kind of do. He did go public about what he was on when he first joined Rovers and how his next contract wasn't an exponential increase. We do also have a report from the club in Turkey that, whilst unsubstantiated, may give an indication of what he now feels he is worth.
  21. We had the option (1 of 4 available) to stop paying Dolan on expiry of his contract but this would have meant no compensation being due. Can we be certain our financially incompetent board wouldn’t have made this choice?? edited to add - paying his wage to the end of July (or until he joined another club if sooner) only applies if we hadn’t offered him a new contract.
  22. Irrespective of whether the three signings are up to the required standard, would you not agree they're in areas where we were already relatively well stocked? (Assuming no-one leaves)
  23. Yeah that's another reason I just don't believe it. I don't believe we will pay a fee for someone who is 29 in a few months. I also don't believe we will give someone of that age a 3/4 year deal which he would no doubt want.
  24. I need an ironic thumbs up emoji for this
  25. Doing "what they can?" Is the "negativity" not understandable? We havent improved our attack which badly needs it, we have lost our best CB and currently only have one fully fit one, we have lost Dolan, lost Weimann, Brittain wants out, no contracts signed. Doesnt seem unreasonable.
  26. Very much an article where he knows too much time has passed not to write something. But he has absolutely no further information.
