  2. At some point someone has to pay the piper - to the tune of £200m and counting, and the kickbacks from every contract and sale wouldn't pay for a single one of their extravagant parties.
  3. ding ding ding ding ...... finally a kindred soul.. ppl keep asking what do venky's get owning us ......this is thier game ... not thier money running the show while earning kickbacks on every contract and sale... penny pinching billionaires and gang

  5. Resigning Dennis. Didn’t he look “great for this level”
  6. Yep, the games changed. When me and you started watching football, winning the top league was in the sight of lots of clubs. Now it’s stitched up. Possibly 4 or maybe 5 clubs in total have any hope at all of winning it and that’s not going to change in the foreseeable future. Everyone else can try to match these clubs but they’ve no chance. Every other club is just playing second fiddle to the “masters”.
  7. Seconded! And this is what is wrong with the game these days..https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c62l5qz9jwgo Would I sit on my arse for £16.9m a year? Hmmm 🙂

  9. A good forward will time his run to coincide with the ball arriving in the box. Not try to beat an off-side trap, although with Gueye, it doesn't have to be much of a trap.
  10. Yeah, but it’s to do with ceilings or something. Ive got a brill idea. Why don’t we sack Gestede, get rid of Pasha and get a manager who knows the Championship and knows a good player when he sees one. You know, like it used to be.
  11. Why hasn’t he played then? Doesn’t matter if Gueye is here or not I just think Val doesn’t see him as a viable option problem Val has is as you say the club see him as a prized asset - something has to give sooner rather than later
  12. The club will be playing tyjon because the club will want to sell him as soon as they can get anything for him - youth is the future of the club and that’s not for our benefit unfortunately that’s for the owners
  13. Going back to Hyam my view is that he is a bang average, middle of the road centre back. However in the last 10 years what better centre backs have we had that we have owned? There's a couple that spring to mind but they aren't massively better (and both were pretty experienced). It's not a position we've been blessed in.
  14. If that’s what it feels like it’s likely because your losing track of what you have said which is understandable considering most of it’s rubbish you didn’t just say he’s average you said his best attributes were availability and disciplinary record. You dismissed his poty award and went on to try finishing 7th is irrelevant etc then here’s the kicker you said only Wrexham wanted him a team you reckon are just a mid table champ club insinuating that because there was no ‘bigger’ team in for him like as you said a sheff u that means he is just average….hence my example above
  15. Any others? Or did you mean "a game where he was amazing."
  16. He had some games he was amazing...the game WBA away springs to mind....he has potential but need the right management
  17. Erm... Just... What? This conversation is what I imagine an aneurysm feels like. All I said was Hyam is an average championship defender, and I'd rather we kept him. Thanks for reminding me why I don't post things on the internet. Innabit.
  18. To save a wage, its all about cost cutting Maybe he will be loaned to Turkey too? Loan one, get 2 free?
  19. Think he will go somewhere with the window still open.
  20. The one who could get the best of Gueye was David Lowe ...
  21. Why selling Gueye now? What if Yuki and Gudjohnsen gets injured? Shambles of club
  22. Any “ free “ players now are “ free “ for a reason.
  23. Agreed on ability and style of team that he'd need. In terms of selling or loaning him - I don't really care, to be honest. Either way, we aren't going to use the sale money and/or wage saving to invest in the team. The money we have received from other sales in the transfer window (and previously) primarily subsidises and mitigates Venkys' losses and inability (unwillingness) to invest. In my mind, the more money we bring in through player sales, the longer Venkys can drag out the destruction of Blackburn Rovers. If we have to get rid of Gueye for financial reasons then, on balance and outside of the window, I'd favour loaning him out and hoping he finds a semblance of form that enables him to contribute something more to our team on his return. Because we aren't likely to replace him with anything much better.
  24. Ive watched Gueye live enough times now to know hes truly awful. Its clear he'll never be any good at championship level. The only way I see him being effective is if the team was set up for him to minimise him having the ball at his feet. Direct style of play and Two wingers putting crosses in towards his head. Thats not gonna happen though. I'd rather sell for a fee and get cover in on loan. On another note, I know nothing about him but the Birmingham Facebook page had lots of comments about it was silly of them to let TGH leave and was generally positive comments about him. Well see.
