  1. Past hour
  2. Running out of assets to sell. Hypothetically, although it would never happen, if NO-ONE turned up they'd have to sell wouldn't they?
  3. Wednesday will win nailed on. The beginning of a death spiral into L1. The owners and their quislings don't give a f**k. Just sell a few more of what little quality there is left. And then the quislings blame the fans for not turning up - to watch a team that will have won only about 4 home matches in the calendar year.
  4. Why should an empty stadium bother them, or for the matter declining income? Their solution as always is to sell another asset. The fans mean nothing to the owners - as we know.
  5. I noticed the Liverpool fans were howling last night, at a packed Angield.
  6. I don't think there was any better way of telling QPR "we're done, go for it". Appreciate we don't have much squad depth, but at least stagger the subs if they're going to be such poor quality. Try to keep the better players on for a bit longer.
  7. Respectfully disagree again. Empty stadiums and silent protests are absolutely the way forward when you have foreign owners. Venky's don't care if people have banners in the ground or protests marches outside, they're in their ivory towers in India - and the club just dismiss it as the minority anyway. However, they can't dismiss an empty stadium and dwindling match day income as just a minority. That hits Venky's in the pocket (with no assets left to sell to cover those losses), which is the only thing they care about. Venky's want the club to be self-sufficient and that's why we get rid of our high earners and buy 'assets' that can be sold for a profit (although they'll be in for a surprise if they think they can make a profit on the players signed in the summer).
  8. I cannot talk for the rest of the fan base, but I cannot emphasise enough my personal horror at losing Tronstad before the game. Added to Wharton, Carter, Cantwell and Toth all of whom make up the starting 11 left me completely deflated even before a ball was kicked, I admit it. Then the game kicked off and nothing I witnessed cheered me up in the slightest, intact it made me realise how grim things are going to be.
  9. I think that's harsh. I would never criticise anyone for exercising their freedom of choice and continuing to support the Club that was around for 135 years before Venky's and their assorted stooges turned up. Whatever happens, it's not their fault. They deserve much much better.
  10. I can't believe how naive De Neve was for the QPR goal. He was nowhere near Smith (who is about 5'6") and allowed him a free header. Miller was poor too in this but De Neve's error was schoolboy at best. Basic stuff as he showed a real lack of awareness.
  11. That hoary old chestnut "who could we possibly get in that's better than him?" raises its' ugly head yet again and it's no more compelling an argument than it ever was in the past. For me it's quite simple. If a manager clearly isnt working out, he has to go - at least at a normal Club. I liken it to a situation with a broken light bulb, you can come in every day hoping that bulb will suddenly start to work, but it won't. The only alternative is to change the bulb and hope that the new one doesn't go wrong before you expected. We had this for years when Mowbray was here, "Who could we possibly get in better than him? Errr......predictably as it turned out, the next two guys who came in immediately after him and with Gary Bowyer after which I think most people would say Lambert was an upgrade. I didn't want VI when he was appointed and I think we're going down if he stays. For me he has no appealing features whatsoever and at a normal Club I think the powers that be would be rolling the dice and taking a chance on someone else. Unfortunately we know we're not a normal Club and we know results on the pitch are secondary to cutting costs so I suppose he'll be completely safe for the foreseeable. Maybe a token gesture will be made to replace him when it's too late to try and deflect some blame away from the 2 stooges. Happy Days.
  12. I really don’t care what anyone thinks about people who bought season tickets. I certainly don’t want anyone feeling sorry for me. I’m a grown up and make my own decisions what to spend my money on. As for attending games, yes it can be a chore (me and my son got home around midnight due to the M62 being closed) but I do it because I enjoy watching football and supporting Rovers. It’s a pity that Venkys and their management can’t realise that filling the squad with below average players and playing them in preference to the likes of experienced players e.g. Ribeiro and Pickering will only end one way.
  13. No, I have lost almost all interest. I have gone from being a season ticket holder who went to most away games. To attending the occasional home game, mainly for the social life before and after the game.
  14. Subbing Forshaw, Gueye and De Neve on all at once last night was ludicrous. He turned a poor show into a shit show.
  15. Is the suggestion that in previous seasons the home atmosphere has been so electric that it's been the reason why our home record has generally been decent? That this season is so much worse in terms of atmosphere that it's having a negative impact on performance? Feels like a stretch. Most likely it's just that we have players better suited to counter attacking football, who are not talented enough to adapt to teams sitting back and playing on the break themselves because they are mostly cheap imports.
  16. The heat from the pies is the best bit of the evening.
  17. So if nobody turns up, we could sell all the tickets, to the away supporters, and they could take over the ground. Good logic Einstein. I take it you watched the game on television, in the comfort of your armchair.
  18. Was never expecting a good crowd but on the back of Friday i was expecting a few more of the loyal hardcore to be in there and a bit more of a positive atmosphere. A bit more of a normal feel to it is the best way to describe it but looking around and the vibe you'd have thought we'd just been hammered off Burnley again. That doesn't help the players and if you with all your Rovers experience can't see that then i'm surprised. As iv'e pointed out repeatedly my main concern is it gives those implementing the managed decline more ammunition and gives the coach ready made excuses. For the record non of that washes with me it doesn't matter if no one is there the players are paid to put a shift in and the Head Coach is paid for selection, tactics and use of subs. All poor yet again last night and naff all to do with the crowd or lack of it but if we as fans want intensity on the pitch we have to do our bit as well and howl them into it. That isn't happening either.
  19. Were doomed pathetic performance, Most of the games lost at home, have been to clubs lower than us, and lingering near us.
  20. I don't feel sorry in the slightest for people who bought season tickets. They knew what to expect with the current people running the club, and yet they still made the decision to buy the season tickets.
  21. Some of our players, should have been wearing Q.P.R. shirts last night, they passed it to them, and gave the ball away to them for ninety minutes. After last night's performance, Sheffield Wednesday will fancy their chances at Ewood.
