  1. Past hour
  2. And in this comparison you paid £200k for the Skoda and it costs as much to maintain as a Roller.
  3. Play him on his natural side and he looks a much better player. Playing him on the right means he’s coming inside into heavy traffic most of the time.
  4. Funny player Hedges. He’s always quite neat and tidy, has ability, works hard, but for some reason has never been able to kick on with consistent quality. He’s also had a lot of injury issues which never helps. Really hopeful this is the start of a big season for him, as that would be an unexpected plus. Regardless, we have to get another winger in the building. Hedges and Kargbo both seem to struggle with muscular issues, and we can’t even begin to consider them both being available for 46 games. A striker for me also a massive priority. We need some pace in the final third. Think we’ll struggle to limp on solely with Ohashi and Gueye.
  5. Well, its seems to me it's just a deliberate clear out of the higher earners rather than any sort of strategy based on footballing criteria. Whether or not it's a stroke of genius or we end up in League 2 or lower we'll have to wait and see. Very premature to be describing anything going on at the Club at the moment as "common sense" Id say.
  6. Everyone can stop complaining now! He’s our new striker, right winger and centre midfielder 🥳
  7. On this he does - https://www.transferroom.com/gbe
  8. You are making an assumption and trying to turn it into fact based on what you want to believe. I posted earlier that yesterday reminded me of the West Brom game last season when the players responded to Eustace leaving with a show of solidarity. Maybe some of the players believe that Travis has let them down and behaved in a disrespectful manner to them and wanted to prove a point.
  9. I put him in the GBE calculator and he didnt get nearly enough points. Although I suspect that is out of date.
  10. That's like saying a skoda is better than a Robin reliant
  11. Regarding these permits. @MarkBRFC I will check with you as you mentioned that Baradji would still take a slot so I think you will know more than most. Loaning out Mafoumbi wouldnt have solved the problem initially because he would still be contracted with us. Would it not potentially work that Baradji is still contracted to Yverdon Sport? I suspect not and that he would indeed be taking our final spot. But worth an ask.
  12. Certainly a surprise yesterday. No one expected that performance from him or the team Can he do it regularly though, instead of one good game in 10? On past form that's doubtful
  13. Aside from that last season when he spent most of it injured, Gallagher tended to score around 9 goals a season. Still not many but more than Gueye. Neither is MILES better than the other, both are pretty poor. You say goal instinct and touch of a centre half, Gueye plays with that too. I know you nailed your colours to the mast by eulogising over Gueye after 20 minutes of a friendly but he is not good enough. He summed himself up yesterday when he lacked the intelligence to even try and stay onside before blazing his finish over.
  14. For the football manager fans he's a G+A returning 'mezzala' For normal people, he's done quite well in Poland and is a midfielder who drifts wide
  15. No idea who this bloke is but we need an out an out winger not a RB who can fill in on the RW etc.
  16. This is the second time I’ve agreed with you in a month, what’s happening!? Hahah Absolutely true. I don’t know if people actually remember how many games Gally played where he literally ran around and never had a single chance. I’m not even saying Gueye is a great player, but he’s MILES better than Gally. Just by the fact that he’s in the positions to get a chance. Gally plays up front with the goal instinct, and touch of a centre half. Piss poor.
  17. I used to think it was Waggott getting you to say all this sort of stuff on behalf of the Club. Obviously it wasn't.
  18. Yes it definitely has an agenda that as usual with the people who run Rovers is looking to divide the fanbase again and cover their own backsides. It would be nice if those who chose to agree with everything it says at least acknowledged the rather obvious bias.
  19. Looks like a player who can play in multiple positions...But yeh not an out n out winger...Legia saying he's one of their best players
  20. I appreciate that some people feel the club manipulates the narrative. They absolutely do, as do all clubs to varying degrees. But I cannot see for the life of me what VI has done wrong to have people question his handling of the Travis situation. It would appear that he’s simply telling the truth. Derby did bid for him and he did say he wanted to leave. And just because Trav wanted to protect his own legacy by not divulging the fact, it doesn’t mean that VI has to lie for him. In fact, based on the reference to “an extremely unsettled last two weeks internally” as referred to by VI, I would surmise that there’s probably even more to the Travis fallout than what we know and that it’s become toxic, to the point that he was no longer welcome. VI hasn’t disclosed anything. Neither Buckley or Trav have been mistreated as far as I can see. One hasn’t been good enough for a couple of YEARS, the other has a better financial offer and wants to leave - both can jog on. The club owes them nothing and needs to protect itself and its own interests first and foremost. Football is a series of revolving doors, one player leaves and another comes in. We’ve sold the likes of Shearer, Sutton, Duff and Bellamy. Rovers will go on without Trav and Bucko.
  21. Pickering on his way out? Feels bizarre? Edit - seems he plays RW for Legia?
  22. I suspect we could sign a 70 year old and because any balance has long gone with you and Gallagher, you would still take the 70 year old.
