  1. Past hour
  2. I’m more Laurel than Hardy 😁😁
  3. Are Venkies aware of RG's behaviour? Do they know the story?
  4. I think Ismael is going to need to get them playing well consistently much quicker than that! Everyone has their own viewpoints and limits, but I think we're really at it now based on the feelings I'm reading.
  5. Becoming more and more common with owners now. Fans and footballing aspect things are secondary it’s all about the business side of things
  6. The big worry is losing Championship experience. The new players have a huge job on their hands to show that they can step in. I can imagine they will want to prove those worries wrong. Whether they will or not is another question. What I do believe is that footballers have the same mentality as any of us that work when it comes to wanting a move. You don't move for less money than what you're on unless there are extenuating circumstances, and I doubt the players really feel the Venky mishandling that we as supporters feel and have to continue to deal with. My guy instinct tells me that it's fanciful to put it down to anything else than the players that have left knew that they could get bumper deals next summer if leaving for free. That's always been the case, and Rovers aren't the only ones affected by that particular state of play. But whatever the reason, or even if contract renewals aren't being offers, the club is then left with the choice of doing what it's done in the past (far too often in my view), which is to let them go for free in a year's time, or get a few million for them now and try to deal with the problem. I'm not against the latter, and many have complained about the club not doing that in years gone by. Well they're certainly doing it now. Whether the replacements work out is another matter.
  7. I'd argue that any player with an ounce of football intelligence/quality would do as I've said above. Nobody coaches you to clamp someone on the halfway line to stop a last minute breakaway, a winners mentality and professional intelligence makes you do it. Did anyone tell Lee Williamson to whollop Ings in the dying moments, no he knew to do it
  8. Is this not something a newspaper might be interested in running as a story. Surely public opinion will be if a sympathetic nature for the little guy. Ciuld this create some pressure for Gestede and his nasty treatment if employees. Running these players iut because if personal vendettas is fire on the dpot type suff to me. Get him out of here.
  9. I hope you're right. It's a huge ask but we won't know until about 15-20 games in. We might be behind the 8 ball by the time they do, if they do gel. You can't beat experience of this league though, it's what gets you through 46 games. We've already seen with the signings from overseas this season and last that the relentless nature of the Championship has taken its toll, not even Ohashi who has the energy of a duracell bunny could cope. Sunderland may be an exception, but they spent on very good players. I'm also concerned hugely we have no leaders and I think like with Kean this is by design. Regardless of the ability of the players we need leaders on the pitch. It's important to read another opinion, I don't agree on performances per se, i think Hull aside , average at best, ok outside both boxes in parts , but sure we both agree it would be nice to be a normal club where that's the main debating point!
  10. Why would we give him the name Pasha? It doesn't mean anything to us. My understanding was it was a bit of a nickname he has, but certainly not from the fans.
  11. Worried about the image of dress code when the image of the club is already in tatters. Talk about priorities
  12. Actually that's down to coaching and tactics, not player quality.
  13. Did you forget on these boards too....
  14. If that's been sent to you in writing, could you post it up?
  15. The Brum game is a brilliant example of the difference between top players at this level and what we've got. With top players/winners that corner get's played short in a corner and we aim to win endless throw in's, draw a foul, etc ending any momentum that Brum had built with a late equaliser. If for some unfathomable reason you insist on crossing it in, prepare for a transition. Thirdly if all those options fail then someone takes responsibility and clamps their player on the half way line and takes a booking. We did none of the above, Hyam (formerly of this parish) makes an awful attempt at bringing their man down and Tavares proceeds to jog alongside their man into the corner and inexplicably lets him cross.
  16. If you mean Ohashi, Gudjohnsen doesn't seem to be better at it from the stats. We will see what happens obviously but it seems premature to assume he will easily displace Ohashi based on what is known.
  17. On pork being banned from the training ground, I asked Steve Waggott who confirmed this was the case in writing.
  18. She was told to not dress this way , a club uniform could be provided if she has not got one ,as this is not the image the club will accept going forwards. Baring in mind she was dressing this way at Rovers when Rudy was still at school and has always dressed that way which is smart casual. There is other parts to this but I really can't add to what ive posted previously.
  19. Non topic. I'm hungry and the cows made of beef, that's the just way it us.
  20. Not a Hedges fan, but he's been our best wide player this season. Which is probably indicative of how shite the rest are. And which part of 5 goals in 34 games in a shit league leads you to think Gudjohnsen will offer far more upfront than Yuki? We've just borne witness to a massive downgrade of the squad. Not a single player brought in is better than we already had at the end of last season. Our only hope of survival is that somehow there are 3 worse and/or bigger basket case clubs than us.
  21. No use for him in terminating his contract either way as he would have to wait until January.
  22. But again, I suspect that sort of result will happen more than once. We dont have a squad at a level that isnt competitive. But we have lost the experience, the know how, the whole defence, the above average manager and didnt have the goal threat to begin with to swerve tight games in our favour.
  23. Just ordered mine - after the shit show yesterday I needed something to cheer myself up! Did a check on all my favourite 'best fitting' polo shirts & they all measure 22" across so ordered the XL. Just hope @Herbie6590 hasn't got a dodgy tape measure! πŸ€žπŸ˜…
  24. After the Birmingham game, I had that rare feeling of being punched in the stomach. I was pretty gutted we threw it away at the end because I honestly thought we were the better side (by how much or how little doesn't really matter). I'm not saying we were outstanding, but I think Birmingham came to Ewood with a lot of momentum and didn't really do much until the silly mistakes we made at the end. It's worrying to lose a game like that, but I don't think the performance was bad. Last weekend against Hull, we were superb. On the pitch, the results aren't coming off, but I'm not alarmed by the performances. The bad one was against Norwich, where we sat off them far too much (we seem to start too negatively in all our games under Ismael), and it dug ourselves a hole that we couldn't get out of.
