  1. Past hour
  2. To be fair the original post was 6 hours ago, maybe my fault for only posting it last few minutes
  3. The EFL should take no account of clubs digging their heels in and should just make a decision. That being said, it’s almost certain Nicko is talking bollocks.
  4. Such a negative impact so that he got a move to a Premier league team, and was decent enough for them to be a regular in their matchday squad for half of his first season at Brentford, and now at the age of 21 is a regular starter in a League 1 team I genuinely think that Football Manager games have warped peoples perceptions of how quickly young players should and do develop
  5. He cant make his mind up. Announcement tonight. When it doesnt come, they will need more time. Cutting edge journalism.
  6. Update.... EFL need extra time on tough Blackburn v Ipswich call New Just now By Alan Nixon The EFL will take extra time to sort out the disputed Blackburn Rovers v Ipswich replay decision. Both Rovers and Ipswich have made their submissions on time after the match was abandoned in the 80h minute. Blackburn want the points or a replay of the final stages with a man advantage because Ipswich had lost Jacob Greaves to a red card. Ipswich want the game to be played again in full which would give them 90 minutes to get a better result. The EFL can pick any one of the three outcomes and are taking their time because both clubs are digging in their heels. There is also a search for a precedent in similar circumstances and that is also a problem. The Blackpool v Huddersfield match was abandoned a few years ago and that was ruled to stand at 0-0 - despite ending just after half time. The EFL only came to that decision after Huddersfield turned down the chance of a replay because it was the last game of the season. Both Rovers and Ipswich need points and have much to play for, so there is no comparison with the other fixture.
  7. If you are talking about a decision that seems the fairest to both sides, then I think you play the final 10 mins with 10 v 11 behind closed doors. Obviously replaying the full match is at a complete disadvantage to us, while awarding is the points would upset Ipswich who would quite rightly claim they could have scored in the remaining time (albeit remote) So therefore it only leaves one decision however logistically difficult it might be. I doubt it's what the EFL will decide though.
  8. Oh I forgot about Brierley!! He’s now playing for Exeter city on loan - can’t help but wonder if the failed move to the championship had a negative impact on the lad
  9. Love this idea - so many good ideas on the forums!
  10. I actually think an appeal scenario would be more likely if they gave us the points
  11. Is an appeal really going to be an option or is Nicko just after more clicks??
  12. It's a statement of fact concerning precedent, fairly recent ones at that. Nothing is sufficiently different about this case. There is no reason they will overturn precedent for us. I'd be happy to wager significant money on it. If anything we usually get fucked over by the authorities, we're not a West Ham who can get decisions like that in our favour. It's not a fact that it will happen, but it's as near as dammit. What I'm telling you is you're wasting your time checking for updates, it's as near to a foregone conclusion as you're likely to see. You might as well be checking whether Trump will say something moronic this week.
  13. Today
  14. Is this one there? Its Darragh Tuffy
  15. I'm there. Drawing 1-1 at the moment. Good, competitive game. Three bald headed chaps on the bench. Can't say I recognise any of them.
  16. Yep and BBC had an article on their main site
  17. Haha thanks mate but that’s not news that’s just your thoughts on what’s likely, which i don’t dispute but I was looking for more an actual update
  18. I saw something that the EFL make their decision this evening, not sure if it said that decision will be communicated today though
  19. Or it could be the other way round and they might have injuries while our new players have gelled.
  20. Yet again Carl not what I said stretching my point to extreme lengths again. I said we could be without one or two of our key players in a few weeks. Ipswich new signings would have settled more and would have adapt more to this league..
  21. I understand the ‘committee’ is meeting to discuss it tonight. So we may hear something tomorrow I guess.
  22. Its been on Sky Sports news and Talksport. How much more did you want?.
  23. Who actually said the decision would be today? I know I read it somewhere, but I've read that many posts/opinions/articles now I've lost all track of where I read things and complete bullshit and fact are seamlessly merging into one 🤷‍♂️
  24. Once the decision has been made I bet Ipswich communicate it before Rovers do.
  25. Travel time surely can’t be a consideration, the decision should be the same whether the away team has a 10 or 250 mile journey. Ipswich can always decide the chance to gain a point or 3 isn’t worth the bother…
