  2. No surprises, let's see what it like before we judge it. Works in other sports so why not football

  4. Wrong there several points Ok fair enough Never said that but he does prefer experience people. Think Morris is a good signing. We see. You didn't think we would any signings yet in but we had 2 signings in and hopefully a third in shortly
  5. Today
  6. Say it loud, say it proud Rovers up, venkys out
  7. I actually think we need to play down the Jack Walker era and focus on how through the 80s we were challenging for promotion to the first division whilst most other small town teams (such as the six fingered creatures) were wallowing in the bowels of the football league. This was all done on a budget of practically nothing and was all 100% down to hard work, dedication and professionalism from those involved. It was this that attracted Jack Walker to buying the club. I'm sick of having "you want to be winning the league again jack walker is dead get over it we are a small town club" bollocks thrown our way. What we achieved in the 80s was entirely down to people who gave a fuck and were willing to put in the effort.

  11. Kudos to whoever took that to Glasto. We are not worthy (farm)
  12. Difference being he had fallen out with his manager and had just been regularly playing in the Europa League for Vitesse.
  13. This was youโ€ฆ.i get the concern but not everybody can just be written off
  14. Best move for the lad is out of Rovers permanently and get back what we can for him. Totally bizarre - seen him play twice and left with multiple lacerations following feverish head scratching. The lads not got it. With 70+ appearances with Crewe and at 21 should be showing so much more. Bombed on loan at Cambridge - says it all. Posted on here before, told Eustace didn't fancy him at all.
  15. I like Kargbo but think he's still raw. I reckon he still needs a few games to bed himself in. But like you said he's shown attributes that Dolan doesn't have...pace and directness. Kargbo will have to do a lot, to better Dolan work rate though.
  16. I don't think he can be put down as a "decent spot" by any means yet. He has not scored for us and only has set up one with a nice bit of play, obviously because he got injured so soon and missed much of the remainder of the season. For clarity, he isn't a waste of money yet either. Based on the glimpses we have seen, he is incredibly quick but very raw too. But comparing to Dolan, he has proved to be our most effective wide player and a very capable Championship standard player, so that is the standard.
  17. Well there we go, Derby signing Patrick Agyemang will take their spending to over ยฃ4million with 2 months of the window left! Is Poku proven at Championship level you ask. Are De Neve and Tavares proven at Championship level? I would bet my house that of those 3 players Poku will have by far the biggest impact this season. Scouts - so what??? We signed Brian Kidd from Man U as manager and he proved shite and we signed David Goodwillie from Dundee United and he was also shite so haven't a feckin clue where you are coming from on our newly 'signed scouts'. and he's just about to sign Agyemang from MLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You really must be having a bad day at the office Chaddy! Read that his senior record is 1 goal in 2.5 games (almost 20 goals in a Championship season!!!) Think Agyemang and Morris will be a real handful for defences - a partnership with a great physical presence. Miles better than anything we have or even likely to have. Why is it you rubbish all players other Championship clubs sign but 'big up' the rubbish Rovers sign!?!?
  18. โ€œHard to know much about Kargboโ€ >proceeds to post everything bad Kargbo has done You donโ€™t think this poster trolls? In the same amount of time Kargbo has also beat two men and drove the ball into the box - three silly errors, three good pieces of play. Which do you focus on? Looks a decent player to me. Another decent spot for our recruitment team, who again play this game with their hands tied behind their backs
  19. Also them finishing above us You can bet the Rams will back him if he's top six in January. Like Mercer said future is bright for them as long as he don't do a runner there too
  20. Scott Wharton went out at same age. Hayden Carter was 22 when he went to Portsmouth.
  21. Brentford and Matthew Benham donโ€™t often get things wrong but this certainly feels like a strange one. Iโ€™d be surprised if they donโ€™t regress now.
  22. That's a really odd move. I assume they're trying to ship him out - a loan with an option to buy. At 21 he really should be breaking into the first team.
  23. I was posting after pick32 said that there is "zero evidence" that Dolan is better than Kargbo. The benchmark of the Dolan of the season just gone is quite strong. Hard to know too much about Kargbo, hopefully can cut out diving in the box, giving away silly fouls and running off the pitch.
  24. Broughton bought him and it seemed neither JDT or Eustace fancied him. Normally that'd be a damning indictment because they see him in training every day, but both managers also consistently started Calamity so they're not infallible. He's come on twice as a sub.
  25. Jesus Christ no body is saying that. A poster has just posted that Dolan is better than Kargbo...How on earth can someone suggest that when Kargbo has played hardly any minutes...and the minutes he has played he's had an impact.
  26. No, but it's irrelevant to my point that the proposed changes are dreadful.
