  1. Past hour
  2. I think Suhail’s links are a lot more of a consideration than Owen’s. The agency influence never left. Waggott suppressed it, but as soon as he’s out of the picture the remnants of SEM are supplying us with coaches. Suhail is the link back to them.
  3. Was more about the person and not about the role he's dropped into. We need people like him around that are all for the club.
  4. The thing is: It’s impossible for the club to win. I’ve seen posters happy with an appointment, but other posters threatening to stop following the club if said manager comes. I don’t think there is any manager that would get 100% happy.
  5. Although I think he'll do well for Derby, he never got played in his best position for Ipswich. Felt like they signed him for the sake of it....bit like when Liverpool took Bellamy off us, although that was more because I think they saw us as a threat at the time.
  6. The betting market will be relatively small so a smallish number of bets/patterns will shorten the odds as bookies cover themselves.
  7. Only reason Coleman would be getting considered is because of Adam Owen. If they hire him then they deserve relegation. Absolute fraud of a manager who's only real success came from riding the wave of Welsh team spirit and some moments of individual brilliance, usually from Gareth Bale, but also the Robson-Kanu goal in the quarter final vs Belgium. This is before we even consider who one of his BFF's is.
  8. Somebody above mentioned Dean Smith again. What an appointment that would be Somebody in that mould is what this club deserves. Venkys won’t go for it though - too much money and I believe he’s in work
  9. A win would be a superb effort, not only because it's a tough place to go but when you look at the fixtures for tomorrow: Birmingham V Leicester WBA V Stoke PNE V Pompey Coventry v Oxford Stoke and PNE have dropped off a bit from their early season form but should still provide a tough test for those at the bottom of the table.
  10. It's just bizarre given where we are at the min considering others available with far more experience and cv for what is required right now.
  11. My guess would be he was fed up of not playing enough and was bringing the mood down. I wouldn't read too much into it.
  12. Anything from this result wise would be a bit of a bonus but most of all I want to see a decent performance for the fans who are getting up at 04.30 to trail down to East Anglia tomorrow. No more of our centre half slamming in an own goal after 2 minutes or of no efforts on goal in the 90 mins.
  13. I am hoping that if Coleman was our preferred candidate, that we would have sorted it already. Because he wouldnt be able to believe his luck. So hopefully it wont be him. Its clearly best not to get too wound up over betting odds either. The volatility of the market sees random names shoot up based on absolutely nothing. Eustace is still 33/1.
  14. I am not belittling him. I am merely saying that the situations are totally different. Ismael was using excuses as an act of self preservation, like desperate managers always do. Why would Johnson bemoan injuries in the same way when the majority have cleared up, hes not our permanent manager trying to keep his job, hes only managed one game and we won? He has been a good servant and I hope he does well in the mean time and stays at the club once a manager is appointed. No comparison to Tony Parkes obviously. If you think I have a negative opinion of him or am keen to belittle him because I dont think it makes any sense whatsoever to potentially speed up or slow down the urgent matter of appointing a manager, based on each individual result he gets in this interim period, then you arent listening to my point. It isnt a reflection of Johnson, I felt the same with Lowe. It also doesnt mean that I want us to rush into getting someone for the sake of having someone permanent or getting someone crap.
  15. If it's Coleman we'll be saying the same next year regardless of league. He's that bad.
  16. It's also his insistence that the world will cave in if Johnson happens to be left in charge for more than a few games. He's a good servant and so far he's never let us down. Of course if we suddenly lose 5-0 to Norwich tomorrow the perspective all changes.
  17. we are going down anyway, who the manager is or is`nt has no bearing on the issue
  18. Everything they do fits a certain script which is written by certain people who want the best for their own clients and wallets. Therefore they'll be continually steered away from any good with the old 'cost too much, want too much control, too much hassle, waste of money' in favour of 'this fella is cheaper and won't cause any fuss'.
  19. Mickey to sign 20 year deal..will make a fine trio running the place...
  20. I think he was just putting interviews into context, rather than trying to belittle Johnson.
  21. Scrap? If it's Coleman we may as well accept relegation without kicking a ball.
  22. Not that there's any chance of it happening but Solskjaer would be a disaster imo. Couldn't hack it at Cardiff.
  23. In response to the latest Elliott Jackson article, it’s worrying that they haven’t spoke to someone like Rowett but are interested in Coleman.. everything they do is just unstable and bizarre.. It’s not new information about Coleman either so hopefully they have other options they’re keeping under wraps because this is terrible.. the only two confirmed that they are interested in is Coleman and Bilic so there will obviously be more we don’t yet know about.. Relegation scrap or not, if it’s Coleman, I won’t be going back.
  24. Really dont know why you're so keen to belittle Johnson at every opportunity. He is and has been a great servant for the Club, very much in the Tony Parkes mould.
  25. Today
  26. It would also be good to keep a calm head around to caretake when the next one leaves.
  27. Different circumstances though. One is a manager doing a poor job desperate to deflect questioning away from himself. We did have injuries so using them to excuse himself was possible. The other has taken one game (and one against a team that wasnt competitive) with the majority of his squad fit and knows he wont be in the role long. No need for self preservation.
