  1. Past hour
  2. Considering wages are repeatedly being paid late it may soon not be worth the paper it's written on. Either that or a takeover there is imminent.
  3. How do we meet Squad registration rules? We around 21/22 already. Allow 25 How about not over reacting to one defeat yet where were you comments against the good performance against Everton and win, where were you?
  4. Travis and Tronstadt looked today like they had no intention of competing for anything close to a 50/50, which to be fair doesnโ€™t bother me in the last pre-season game before we start proper. However for their third goal Travis just looks like he canโ€™t be arsed sprinting, is so slow to get across and just lunges to bring him down and misses.
  5. Can we just remember its pre season and the proper football that actually matters started on Saturday at 3pm at the Hawthorns. As I expect some people going over the top with their remarks after today's performance against NEC. Looks like Pears is third choice currently behind Toth and Michalski. Buckley isn't close to the squad. Expect both to leave before the window. If Pears does leave then I think we need another keeper in Like I said in the Match thread I ain't going OTT over one poor pre season performance, Against Everton we were excellent. I have seen us lose 3 nil at Deepdale in pre season and were bloody awful that night yet won the first game of the season
  6. Embarrassing if true. NEC Nijmegen are paying an appearance fee to us for hosting the game yet we can't even use some of that money to pay for a one night stay at a hotel? Unprofessional to say the least.
  7. The question was about Toths performance, not our outfield players.
  8. Indeed. Everton were a pretty decent standard as well and we did alright there. Shit performance from the whole team today but let's hope it's just the rust being shaken off before the season starts. The situation at the club as a whole is much more of a concern to me than random friendlies.
  9. Itโ€™s rare they both have shockers at the same time, they pulled it off today though. Looked slow, like everyone else bar Kargbo
  10. Oh I donโ€™t agree with the cloggers and need replacing comments more in response to you saying the arenโ€™t the problem - in terms of the hierarchy your correct but just judging today both along with most others miles off it so when posters are saying the signings are crap based on today - well we have first teamers there also crap today too so as you said best not judged in a pre season game
  11. For that matter so should we. From the Ohashi interception in the first ten seconds to five must score but didn't openings in the second half...
  12. I was concerned by the sight of them in their training kit looking in the dumps disembarking the coach exactly an hour before kick off. Even Gueye looked pissed off. Schipol to the Nijmegen ground is going to be at least two hours on the coach and it didn't look anything like a Waggott special either.
  13. Toth didn't make mistakes, yet NEC could/should have scored six.
  14. You would have thought NEC would pay our hotel bill.
  15. It was a pre season friendly. Calling them cloggers who need replacing is massively OTT. Our problem is repeatedly letting good players leave and bringing in cheap punts as replacements. Which is exactly what will happen when Travis and/or Tronstad leave.
  16. And yet Barry Bannan signs a new contract this afternoon ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  17. The signings this summer are desperately poor on their showings to date but which Championship sides pass, move and retain the ball (ignoring their repeated attempts to gift us goals) like NEC do?
  18. They arenโ€™t but they donโ€™t get a free pass because of who they are both miles off it today
  19. I thought every player looked the same first half so wouldnโ€™t read loads into it second half a good bit better only pre season though same as the wins the loss is irrelevant
  20. Didn't see the game, but there's no need to overreact over one defeat any more than 4 wins. For those who did watch, how did Toth do? I'm hoping we can count on him.
  21. Travis and Tronstad are not the problem.
  22. Agree - thought Travis was 'out of it' today, possibly pondering his future. Tronstad not his usual self either.
  23. We flew out to Amsterdam this morning, then had to get a coach from the airport to Nijmegen, fit a meal in somewhere, play the game, get washed and changed afterwards, back from Nijmegen to Amsterdam and then fly home tonight. No wonder they looked knackered.
