  1. Past hour
  2. Hindsight is a wonderful thing with the benefit of which McLoughlin so far looks an adequate replacement for Batth. We haven't replaced Weimann yet (or Dolan) Id say we obviously have missed them as we only have three points from three games.
  3. Yep big business mostly use debt to leverage and if you have plenty fixed assets to secure it against and good liquidity then away you go. Their only problem is when it's nearing tipping point and the lenders say woa you need to reel this in a bit and i think we reached that point whilst Mowbray was still here and before any court case began to bite. Also the fact that the parent company still has a massive turnover but profits and market value have much reduced post pandemic i presume. Lenders won't be keen on seeing 10 million go to the club and ten million be held for the govt every 6 months and neither will the V's finance dept. I can fully understand that to be fair although it doesn't help our cause and at any point one of them could stick a personal ten million in but they don't operate like that.
  4. do these big holes still here or have our signings fill there? have we miss either Batth or Weimann? All depends who these clubs were. We don't know but Ismael will. I looking forward to seeing Baradji playing and the type of player he is
  5. Yes Hyam does play midfield and forward 🀣 πŸ’€
  6. We have alot of high quality midfielders buy we don't have what they call a regista. Wharton is perfect for that role
  7. I thought he was quite impressive despite what I said about him hiding. He was hugely involved in the goal and created palace's other best chance when ghuei hit the post. He's suffering from not having enough quality around him
  8. Nixon is saying Ryoyo Morishita, midfielder and forward. Possible Hyam's replacement if he does go at centre back
  9. If those Serie A sides were Cremonese or Pisa…
  10. Nixon also saying we've a bid in for another midfielder
  11. I'd love to see this messageboard if the unlikely happens and he ever got the job at Rovers, meltdown would be an understatement.
  12. Obviously Ismael will big up a new signing. Not having that those other teams interested including Serie A clubs were serious. Otherwise he wouldnt be here. Not saying he isnt good either, he may well be. But quotes like that are inevitable.
  13. Fi gers crossed this comes to fruition and start winning games and survival mode can kick in.
  14. We weren’t going to offer them big deals at their age rightly or wrongly and Derby were its not a case of grass is greener it’s just a simple fact and as for me giving up on the contracts it’s not wrong it’s my opinion. None will sign were in full reset mode
  15. Very sad and very true. Venkys would not be tolerated at b*ly or Preston. Bolton and Blackpool fans demonstrated how you get rid of poisonous owners. Won't happen here.
  16. I wonder if Leonard having always had Adam Wharton playing him perfect through balls did him some favours coming up the ranks? Buckley I got the impression is thick as pig shit and fell under the influence of Dacky/Bezza, who both could piss around but still do the business on the pitch.
  17. Ismael is bigging up Baradji here https://x.com/Rovers/status/1959923708681916629 Wonder if we can expect an announcement today on Ryoya Morishita signing here today
  18. Last time we went before this year was 2015 - it's changed even since then. Capacity is about 35k nowadays. You'll have a great time at Oasis - knowing how good it was I'm jealous you've still got it to come! Our last outdoor/summer gig this Friday - Nile Rodgers & Chic at Piece Hall. Never been but heard good things about the venue, seen Nile before so know it's guaranteed a good night.
  19. Don't think they'd be down to their last million or two by any stretch if they had to repay all borrowing related to the Club but this is a far more plausible explanation than most.
  20. Think Leonard will be 23 in December, I'm risk averse so I'd like to loan him out, but it's a concern he's hasn't played more minutes.
  21. Water under the bridge now, but you've "given up on it" because you're wrong. It wasn't the length of the contract offered per se that was the problem, as he signed for the same length of time at Derby. It was whatever wages we were offering. You're trying to argue grass isn't green there.
  22. Ribeiro is a much better footballer than Pickering - it's night and day. As for Brittain - I think he was helped massively by our tactics last season. He's always been a middling athlete and quick wingers gave him fits - and he always struggled to get back on the counter.
  23. Today
  24. They wanted two more years on the terms we were offering. Probably got similar for one year at Derby iv gave up on the contract situation it’s quite clear this is a full reset
