  1. Past hour
  2. Who would be happy with this: GK: Toth/Pears/Michalski RB: Miller/Alebiosu/Montgomery RCB: Carter/Miller/Hyam LCB: Wharton/Mcloughlin/Pickering LB: Ribeiro/Pickering/De Neve LW: De Neve/Kargbo/ DM/CM: 3T/Montgomery RW:Hedges/Ohashi? CAM: Cantwell/Tyjon/Bucko ST:Gueye/Ohashi/Leonard Anyone missing? several players could be used in different positions - quite versatile without square pegs in round holes. Must have: quick, energetic RW. For me that’s all I need. nice to have: another striker
  3. You might be right now I look again, edited my previous post as to not dash any more hopes
  4. Yeah it's just the full training video is available on youtube. The one's posted to social media are just a clip of the training video
  5. You should normally be able to buy a match pass for £10 from there From memory, the option to do so may not appear until about 24 hours before the game
  6. I think in a year or so (when Travis is gone), he will eventually replace him in the midfield 2, but initially he will play further forwards to ge used to playing at a higher level & being much more disciplined than he currently has to be In the meanwhile, his attributes make him look capable of covering an attack minded right back getting forwards, whilst also offering a bit more guile and vision than Hedges Just my hypothesis of course
  7. Thought we'd be the next Derby? Doesn't sound too bad to me.
  8. I am in Spain for the opening match - what options are there for watching the match?
  9. To me that reads as though you can watch the video of them training ahead of the Nijmegen game in full on Rovers' Youtube, not that the game itself will necessarily be live.
  10. Whoa, hang on. Look what the women’s first team still get, not sure what all the drama’s been about: All players chosen to play for the club will receive official 25/26 Blackburn Rovers training, travel and match day kit.
  11. I was told that Waggott's original plan was for this weekend to be a 'showpiece' 'curtain raiser' game against someone to commemorate the 150th anniversary. Of course his departure, coupled with the realities involved in organising such a fixture - costs, logistics, forward planning - meant we very quickly reached a point where we were getting too late to organise one. Nor is there much appetite for a game at Ewood unless they are confident the away club will bring thousands to cover the expense e.g. Everton. I think Nijmegen had been due to play another game this weekend and that was cancelled meaning they became available and were also looking for someone to play. Of course in a position of increasing desperation Rovers were willing to accept whatever terms the host club imposed including not allowing any Rovers fans to attend. Ridiculous really when you might have got 100-200 at most so soon after the Spain trip.
  12. He seemingly plays deeper though so its surely square pegs in round holes. A lot of what his strengths seem to be defensive.
  13. Great to see Leonard in the goals for the U21's!
  14. Modern day teams often do things like that but I dont forsee a total formation change. Nor does Ismael seem to want to replicate his very direct Barnsley side despite that being the only Championship job to which he has done well in.
  15. He looks like an athletic playmaker rather than a box to box to me, so I could see him in either of those roles in Ismaels system
  16. I think Miller will be confirmed today If you watch the pre season games it has been 3-4-2-1 when in possession and out of possession 4-2-3-1/4-4-2.
  17. The Baradji one is strange because i dont see which of those 2 slots that a box to box midfielder who seems to have played deeper fills.
  18. Im not sure it has. Many targets this and last seem to be foreign based with the story coming out when linked by foreign journalists. Indeed, that privy account on twitter seems to have emerged since Waggott has gone.
  19. According to this post on Rovers Instagram, the game will be on streamed (presumably for free) Rovers YouTube channel Edit, - apparently its just the training video 😞
  20. He has never tried to replicate what he did at Barnsley in any of his jobs since. Although he has struggled for success since, nothing suggests he sees that as the blueprint for how he wants to play.
  21. Let’s have your predictions in the following categories: 1. Winners of the Championship Ipswich. 2. Automatic promotion (runners-up) in the Championship Souhampton 3. Four Play off semi-finalists in the Championship Sheffield United, Middlesbrough, Norwich, Leicester. 4. Three relegated sides from the Championship Sheff Wed, Hull, Charlton. 5. Where will Rovers finish in the Championship? 14th 6. First Championship club to change manager (after the season starts) Hull 7. Winners of the Premier League Liverpool 8. A notable wild card prediction of something that will happen in the Rovers universe during the season Pasha scrans his first chicken balti pie on the pitch at half time of the Brum game, to a chorus of boos. On his return inside, he suddenly falls ill and has to be taken to hospital. However, the car he gets into, breaks down next to KFC at Queens Park. He ends up running into KFC to vomit profusely in the toilets, then his driver (protecting their name to protect them from shame) has to give Pasha a piggy back the rest of the way to A&E. In A&E, Pasha ends up rowing with one tooth Terry from Infirmary Ward. This all originated from Terry dropping his last £1 on the floor, and it ends up by Pasha's feet, who refuses to return it to Terry and Poor Terry was going to put that towards a brew. Amongst the commotion, Pasha's driver one times Terry, is then arrested and Pasha has to suffer an agonising 8 hour wait in A&E on his jack jones. Hey Alexa play 'All by myself' by Eric Carmen.
  22. Maybe - fwiw I don’t think it’s going to happen immediately. Wouldnt surprise me if we’ve transitioned by Christmas though.
  23. One set of lads fresh from Heaton Park put in on a flag and now the club’s trying to co-opt it. Very cringe.
  24. Brum are on a roll cue the usual derogatory chants from clowns who've never been out of New Street before. Never mind the bods upstairs at Ewood will be delighted and have a line already to spin back to India 'look a 20k crowd' !!! For the record not long ago Brum were averaging about 16k and regularly used to bring sub 2k to Ewood - In the Prem.
