  1. Past hour
  2. They're arrogant, spoiled, billionaire brats who inherited Daddy's business empire and haven't a clue. There's zero chance a letter gets past their secretary's secretary without going straight in the bin. They wouldn't lower themselves to interacting with people like us.
  3. Thanks for the usual wisdom, I had never realised that was allowed on a professional contract, as opposed to youth/non-league players. But I suppose it makes sense if it's just between u21s.
  4. I was thinking pen and paper, proper old school 😄
  5. Glenn has his WhatsApp I think!
  6. Has anyone tried writing an old fashioned letter directly to the owners?
  7. Selling the club for the Chicken Chokers equals opening Pandora’s box.
  8. Somebody should tell the Chicken Chokers - this is what you could have had !
  9. Imagine putting £500 per month into your ISA and ever year finding out it was worth less than a quarter of the amount you have put in. Would you stick with it for 15 years or stop at some point, accepting you are investing in a dud.
  10. I am led to believe that an approach was made to buy Rovers last year. Pasha said not for sale. It didn't go any further. He is the blocker keeping his cushy number with no scrutiny. That is why he actively prevents direct communication with the Owners. We need to shift him. Financially is the only way to do it.
  11. It’s nowhere near the standard of last seasons squad and the manager isn’t good enough
  12. Maybe a bit of an overexaggeration but was it just the existing squad we have now plus Cleary? Bit optimistic to think the addition of one player is going to shoot us up the table. We have a terrible Head Coach however.
  13. Makhtar scored on his debut granted it was a friendly.. just needed service and confidence!
  14. The following is rumour and speculation so we can't say for sure either way. For discussion purposes though: According to a poster over the road, somebody made an approach to buy Rovers as recently as October 2025. The rumour goes on to add that the enquiry was refused by the owners via their conduit. How true this is, I don't know. Maybe somebody with sources could look into this? I know two posters on here have mentioned interest from two different potential investors recently. One using the word 'significant' regarding a bid. It could all just be gossip, but looking at this US/Saudi guy who is trying to buy PNE...I'm wondering out loud. Please don't tell me this guy tried to buy us, only to then turn his sights towards PNE as there was nothing doing here. I hope that's just me overthinking things. It would be a sickener if such a scenario occurred.
  15. The idea of him leaving Palace just now for a big fee is bittersweet. Good for him if he goes to play at the very top, to add to his cup winners medal. However, if we have a decent sell-on clause, I don't want the money to go to our current owners who will waste it or pocket it.
  16. You’re right. It’s a terrible one

  18. Today
  19. That would be Burnley, Bolton and Preston all with new owners in the last decade, all with smaller stadiums and (although long) less prestigious history and fewer honours than BRFC. All in the same catchment area as us. Forgotten northern mill towns, not tourist destinations or hives of commerce and enterprise. None of them are cash cows for their owners, they all cost their owners money every year, who in their right mind would want to own them? That's why we must stick with Venkys. The only owners who benevolently fund a football club which loses lots of money, there aren't any others and no one would ever buy us. Edit - if you even suggest anywhere on the internet that someone would buy us, you immediately have to provide cast iron proof that someone is interested in buying us, or you will be laughed off.
  20. ‘Err they’re a city club. We can’t expect to compete with them’.
  21. Which would need to be worth at least the 100 million or the bank wouldn’t have let them use it as security.
  22. The problem i have with that scenario is a 100 million borrowing facility would have to surely be secured against something. So they couldn't walk away without losing something unless it's secured against thousands of acres of scrubland.
  23. Arsenal must have agreed (as per EFLs youth development rules).
  24. Just listening to Radio Lancashire and Knob End issued statement saying that they are in discussions with a number of parties interested in buying the club ! Of course, Goozburger and his pals don’t believe that there is anyone out there who might fancy taking on little old Blackburn Rovers, one of the most historic and successful clubs in English football.
  25. Have you any evidence of this, or is it just your best guess?
  26. Assuming you're right for a moment 1) When you say they'd walk away "unscathed" are you claiming the entire amount of their "investment" in the Club consists of borrowed money from BOI ? 2) What would constitute a "favourable climate"?
