  1. Past hour
  2. Mixed bag today. Portsmouth hammering is great. Reduces their GD significantly too which may be crucial. Oxford lost again which is also good. Unexpected point for Charlton which isn't ideal but the real kicker is Norwich winning. Puts them back in the mix to escape. Mind you would we have taken w good results, 1 meh and 1 poor one from our rivals before the game? Of course its a terrible strategy relying on others but that is what we are reduced to.
  3. With Norway finally after 28 yrs qualifying for WC I bet Trondstad's perspective is this; I need to get to a different competitive club asap to increase my chances of getting picked. Sure there are four other players infront of him, but if injuries happen he has to be considered for selection. I'm not too sure about the story of his family wanting to move home to Norway. Perhaps moving away from rainy Lancashire or Manchester.
  4. Resign and forfeit more than 2 years of compensation on his contract? No chance.
  5. Hull moved McLoughlin on because they had ambitions to be better. They're now gunning for automatic promotion. We brought McLoughlin in because we have zero ambition and were just squad filling. We're three points off the drop.
  6. Will likely score the winning goal for them on Sunday.
  7. Not sure where the Dlamini runs in behind thing is from, he doesn't. From what I've seen off the 21s there should be a few ahead of him in the queue. Perhaps there not with the correct agency?
  8. McLoughlin had another shocker today. That first goal with him and Pears, deary me. As said previously, Hull certainty had McLoughlin worked out when moving him over to left back, he's a disaster in the middle of a 3.
  9. I felt for him today actually, not a lot went right for him, but he's trying harder than anyone. He's been getting criticised for losing the ball carrying it out, but he's the only one who actually tries to carry the ball out. There's a few getting a softer ride due to the amount they're playing, but he's played virtually every minute. If I'm picking an 11 for a relegation fight, he's one of the first on the team sheet.
  10. For what it's worth, I think Ismael is a busted flush, but I don't know if there's many managers who would be doing a lot better with this shower. We must be among the lowest spenders and lowest wagebills in the league. Transfer spending and particularly wage bills are strongly correlated with league finish. If this is our current trajectory, then yeah we're going down. Perhaps not this season, but you can't keep neglecting a football club and banking on there being three worse sides every year.
  11. Chaddy. Listen to me. For the last time. The club use Alan Nixon as a propaganda tool. They have purposely leaked that information immediately after the match because they realise they’ve fucked up and exactly what we feared would happen, has happened. Gueye was signed for millions of pounds and paid handsomely and has turned out to be exactly what fans of his club said he would be - not competent, not professional and not up to standard. Even if we get our money back (when Nixon says we have done, we won’t have done, remember, it’s propaganda) the reality is he was a major transfer and a major failure by Gestede and his department.
  12. Well that will put everything right 😂
  13. If we could get him back teamed up with Bowen then definitely, but since he's gone separate ways with Bowen he seems to be struggling on his own Either way he simply would work under these clowns anyway
  14. You either have a positive outlook on life that should win you the Nobel Peace Prize or no idea what’s happening at Ewood Park if you think there’s a remote possibility of this.
  15. man of the match according to Charlton fans Rankin-Costello, take a bow—fantastic performance; everything good came through him
  16. Awful news for Litherland about the injury, similar with Hedges. I did mentioned that I thought Ismael would have freshen things up with the starting 11. Also Ismael was too late in bring Dlamini on who will run in behind and some pace. What more can I say when we have alot of injuries to key players and a player is on AFCON duty If you want to sign a RWB then that's your opinion, Currently would be my top priority right now wouldn't be that position but a striker who has pace and can run in behind or someone who could the ball up
  17. Whatever the question is, the answer is not Tony Mowbray.
  18. Had a chat to most around me today. The club is fucked was the consensus, but after *fifteen years* of this it is the feeling of resignation that is different here. There doesn’t look any feasible route to them fecking off, so a meek acceptance (and walking away when it comes to ST renewals) is the response you get in the ground.
  19. I don't think there's any arguably about it tbh. Our 16/17 side would comfortably do away with this team of random misfits.
  20. Not long ago he was being lauded as a player who had the grit that we need (eg at Preston).
  21. Really? He was of course poor for the 1st goal but saved well for what could have been their third. And how does a point work? We didn't score. So it would have still been 1-0 to them. We deserved nothing and got it.
  22. The stinking management don't want them injured before the January sales.
  23. The players are shite, as bad as any I can remember, but this guy is just as useless. We look so completely devoid of ideas, he obviously doesn’t have any of his own. He’s someone I find it difficult to like as well.
