  1. Past hour
  2. Nah, not when it comes from the manager. The club, yes! But IF that’s made up, VI has committed suicide in front of the lads and it’s already over for him. They will do whatever they can to get him out….and I just don’t see that. Managers rarely step over that line unless they have to. Eddie Howe hasn’t publicly shamed Isak or even blamed him in that whole saga. For VI to publicly say that Trav has “Let down his team mates”. Also, honestly….based on the conversation I had with a Venkys employee (same level as Pasha) last year in Dubai. A) Venkys don’t really care (we’re just a line in the group P&L) and b) Pasha certainly doesn’t care what we, the fans think. Venkys are the WORST thing to ever happen to Rovers but I believe you and many others are barking up the wrong tree here. My understanding is that the problem is, they just don’t really care either way.
  3. Mowbray suggested that being honest and principled was the reason he spent most of his time managing in the second tier. I would say it was more a lack of a winning mentality.
  4. I don’t mind your lady calling it out what I do mind is her being vague if your going to say your glad then tell us why as I said earlier without something from yeah Buckley or Leonard then it’s a case of ‘he said/she said’ if it’s me I’m doing what Isak done and I’m coming out fighting my corner
  5. The more of this she's doing, the more she's justifying the fact that the club asked her to move on. Childish and unprofessional. I'm sure she was mistreated at some point, but she's proving all of her critics right. Certainly ruining her chances of being employed by another club or any serious organisation.
  6. But we are now, er, all singing from the hymn sheet 😉
  7. Does Cantwell really strike you as more of a leader than Travis?
  8. I personally find that kind of post unprofessional. Many people have an axe to grind with a former employer but I don't think posting that kind of line on a public forum is the thing to do. Keep it in the DMs and private group chats.
  9. I think Ipswich signed Travis as insurance policy in case Sam Morsy self destructed. He didn’t, so Travis was hardly used. That tells me the management at Ipswich thought Morsy was a better player than Travis.
  10. Looks like you call them out at your peril though. Head down, toe the company line and your face will continue to fit.
  11. To add some balance, anyone who acts like Pasha did in a fans meeting, does not deserve a role at a professional football club either. He in effect stuck two fingers up to the supporters doing what he did and given that he is still there, perhaps he needs to take a look at himself, before forcing other people out of the door.
  12. Sam seems like he can't believe it that Tony didn't ask for more money to push for promotion. I think I once heard how, when he wanted Salgado, it meant we needed to finish a couple of positions higher to hit the budget target. He went ahead with the signing - more cut throat than Tony.
  13. At the end of the day he's too honest and stuck in his ways for his own good, hard to not respect him but it's also frustrating beyond the pale at times. We are used to so much bullshit at this club and football in general it's often hard to fathom the validity of honesty when it makes an appearance. Mowbray blew some decent wage budgets here and was no doubt happy with the plod but his bosses were the ones who were responsible for that it's ultimately their lack of vision and ambition that creates the situation.
  14. Even with the emoji, quite a telling comment from the former player liaison
  15. I’m just unsure as to how likely it is that the best Derby could find for those positions would all come from any single club.
  16. This is an impressive display of willful ignorance, I'm sorry.
  17. 3 million and a sell on my backside they were offering 1.2 million a week or so ago. Yes i think he wanted out because he's wanted a better contract for a while and no way here were they giving him 4 years on the same of better money. Eustace has known the mess behind the scenes here and he tried to sort it but was fobbed off so it's a bit daft trying to blame him for everything it's this club sheer incompetence that causes it all. Maybe on purpose, maybe not. Anyway i'm sure the couple of million in real life terms this deal will net will come in handy, good luck to Trav i'm sure he'll have a decent career at Derby......for as long as Eustace is around.
  18. Travis is a real loss to this club. Same with Brittain - talented, experienced players who will be sorely missed over the course of the season Neither should have been allowed to leave. Damn the owners and the pygmies running the Ewood operation
  19. I find the approach incredible limited. You are limiting yourself to average players without any potential upside from average clubs. Probably paying a lot more than you need as well. Derby will get exactly what's on the description, a mid-table finish. They will probably be happy with that considering last season. Been vocal about this topic before, but a club adapting their philosophy and transfers to whichever manager they appoint are mostly doomed. A well function club has a clear strategy philosophy on how they want to play, they appoint managers that fit their approach. Their scouting will be able to track and identity players of several years that fits their profile. Brighton is a good example here. Here in Norway you have Bodo/Glimt who have gone from being a second division team to totally dominant. They've been wildly successful in Europe, reaching the semi-final in the Europe League last year, and yesterday qualifying for the Champions League group stages. Their players as individuals are average, very few would hack it in the Premier League. However they have an incredible performance culture, a well drilled team and some look like super stars in that system. When they get sold on, they usually falter and many end up back in Bodo. No chance Rovers can replicate that with our owners and management, but at least there is some comfort in that there has been a clear strategy in the transfer approach, and replacements has been identified when players have moved on this summer.
  20. Of course, we both are sensible and know that. My point is a) you should always look to improve but I think there is no intention of this - the intention is budget cuts and league table mediocrity will do. To be more blunt, those castigating leaving players and JE should wind their necks in and remember the league position last season. b) your points will be held by many and of course provide a perfect excuse/cover for budget cuts and the hierarchy -ie if we do well then it's all on VI and RG, the plan was a masterstroke; if we are in the bottom third, well we are in transition, so many sqaud changes etc what can you expect?
  21. Excellent news. The usual suspects will be like blood to a hound with this. He didnt ask for more money will be turned into him actively not wanting to get promoted, even though all logic suggests that it was in his best interests to do it. And more blame can be taken away from the real reason that we have never really come close to promotion.
  22. Anyone who posts bullshit cryptic things like that on social media doesn’t deserve a role at a professional football club in my opinion. 20+ years of experience or not, it’s just not helpful to anyone. Just comes across like she’s bitter. We’ve been stuck in the doldrums for ages. Looks like we’re finally mixing things up and trying something new rather than doing the same old shit every year. Glad we’re shaking things up to be honest. And anyone stuck in a perpetual pity party should be let go.
  23. And? They're gone. We are still here - so glad we are 'In' 😉 Just saying.
  24. The man who stood up to bullies and backed his friends and was then frozen out.
  25. Beginning to sound pretty toxic. What will we hear next? Certain employees make an official complaint about RG or SP...then get ..we..er.."moved on"?
