  1. Past hour
  2. And conceded 3 goals at home, in 90 + injury time.
  3. Plenty of rubbish emerges after a win. Plenty of rubbish emerges (LET comments and elsewhere) after a new plan emerges. As for patience -hmm, is 15 years enough?
  4. At the moment I'll reserve judgement on most of them, but I'm not optimistic either. My concern is more that, even if some of them improve and the team gels into a more cohesive unit, we may still be fighting a losing battle if confidence is low and we've lost a lot of matches by the time that happens. We cannot afford to keep losing games whilst waiting for the team to gel. They have to start picking up results, and if they're incapable of doing so whilst adjusting, then we're going to be in huge trouble and it will have been a mistake from Suhail and Gestede to initiate such a destructive transition.
  5. Assuming Gudjohnsen is a done deal (and if he was there today he'll fancy his chances of starting against Watford!!!) I still think we need another winger, a CM and a GK. We're not signing a GK by the looks of it - Ismael's answer on BBC Lancashire about the pathways / young kids didn't even reference Pears. He must be on his way out and they apparently don't plan to replace him, which is worrying.
  6. Played 4 league games conceded a penalty in 50% of them
  7. How have we played in those 5 games? We've been in every single one and, barring some awful officiating, should be sat here with far more points. The worry is that this is our year - we're playing ok and losing, which means we're going down - but I have to think that we'll stop being on the butt end of things and start picking up results. I don't look at the squad we've assembled and think it's miles off the standard.
  8. Still handed the #1 squad number which surely would have gone to Toth if Pears was off.
  9. He's a confidence player that needs time on the pitch. Relegating him to 5 minutes here, 10 minutes there is doing him absolutely no favours.
  10. Well he missed a sitter today and shied away from 3 other chances any striker worth his salt is at least taking on...
  11. So glad it’s international break, let’s hope the new lads who haven’t played yet are up to scratch
  12. He's not started many games so unfair to judge IMO. Top Scorer in the league year before and already got 9 international goals - He's only 22! We can all wager he'll be on par with Ohashi and 10 times the striker Gueye is so it really shouldn't fill you with fear.
  13. this windows been absolutely abysmal and they’ve definitely inflated the fees, nothing more than a cost cutting transfer window.
  14. I wish they'd apply all of the laws of the game so thoroughly...
  15. My point is he’s not scoring goals in a team that scores a lot where he’s had a good amount of minutes. So his conversion rate looks suspect
  16. Ismaels win record so far is 29.4% and his points per game is 1.06. For comparisons sake, Owen Coyle had equivalent stats of 29.73% and 1.11.
  17. Come on Chaddy, it is 4 losses in 5 and half of the players he mentioned were here last year. How long do we give them before judging them?
  18. Yup Transition has just replaced the project which replaced the journey which followed on from a 'reset' after a deep audit. The one and only description is Managed Decline which has ebbed and flowed between overnight to death by a thousand cuts over the last 15 years.
  19. Whilst I’m on a rant and rapid fire posting session, one thing that particularly pissed me off about Kargbo today was his total lack of commitment physically. There was an instance in the first half when he had the run on the covering centre half, both sprinting to a through ball. He saw the centre half coming and shit the bed, let him have it. His one asset is his speed, which he rendered useless by being soft as shite
  20. Back on your little band wagon after a lost. You seem to have all these great wonderful opinions based on a defeat. We win, we going for promotion Let's judge them after a period of time. FFS, already explained my view plus used what is in FF minutes and Glen/Kidder podcast whilst discussing the playing budget. Not interested in what you have to say.
  21. He may do. He may not. Either way, its total lunacy to have a season with one senior keeper. Do you agree? Michalski played 1 cup game and clearly is nowhere near ready yet. Whilst contracted at the club, Pears should be number 2.
  22. I get what you’re saying but we’ve all watched plenty of football and have eyes. Whilst we will all differ slightly on our views of players individual merits at a granular level it’s fairly obvious who is a good’un and who is a bad’un. How many of the new lads pass the eye test, honestly. I’d say Alebiousu alone of the ones who’ve played a few games and I’d stick my neck out on a 15 min cameo and say Morishito will be good, he looks like a quicker Ohashi. The rest are toilet, Ribeiro included, he’s Pickering without the ability to pass.
  23. He seems to have alot of confidence in Michalski and Gaddard. Something has happened where Pears was second choice not not even third choice Something happened since the summer
  24. Kargbo didn’t look right at all today. Could tell after his first sprint. Will give him the benefit of the doubt, today was a bad day for him. We have been a touch unlucky over the 1st four games imo. Desperately need a number 9, and sounds like we have one lined up. We need a centre mid for sure by Monday night. Not a Pickering fan but would start him over Ribeiro after the break. Was woeful today.
  25. Eh??? If he was banging them in for a high performing team then he wouldn't be coming here would he.
