  1. Past hour
  2. If Ismael had a brain cell, he would have the Rovers team on the training ground. If Charlton play direct football, we should play cathedral them on the break tactics.
  3. I think the tried and tested method is to ADD new blood and test it out, then, either move it on or trust it and incorporate it into the EXISTING team structure. I'm not sure that selling the whole team and starting from scratch by signing a bus load of unknowns from second tier foreign leagues is the best approach. The majority of our signings aren't at the required level and yet they now make up almost the whole team. We bought well at RWB. We did well previously with Toth, Cantwell and Tronstad it's true but every other one has failed. ADEQUATE is the very best that can be claimed for SOME of the purchases the majority just don't have it. The selling of the 'family silver' last year was utter hubris and was essentially betting the house on the flip of a coin. It hasn't worked. We are in deep do-do and the best we can hope for is survival. If the players weren't good enough this year they won't be the next. Project after project after project! When will they ever produce anything worth getting excited about. I repeat, in answer to your challenge, who will sign for us in January and who is at the required level and is uninjured and ready to go. Answer: nobody. We don't even have enough cash to bribe someone with high wages. Time to smell the coffee dude.
  4. Not just 3 or 4 signings Chaddy. We need 3 or 4 signings who are competent and robust enough to compete at Championship level. Its not going to happen.
  5. Blackburn Rovers, have had a 6 figure bid, for Barnsley striker Clearly rejected. We need to make it top priority, bringing in a striker from the January transfer window, after yesterday's toothless display up front.
  6. Are you aware Chaddy? Your continued excuse making for the club and arguing that black is white is what infuriates most other people on this messageboard. You are a Venky’s apologist. The current squad isn’t good enough to compete at this level, simple as that.
  7. You have other people have running the club as you know who they are for these months You have had Waggott has CEO for 7 years, Shaw as MD as nearly 4 years
  8. Nothing more to add to my points already made. We need 3 or 4 signings this window and 3 or 4 out of the squad like Gueye, Ribeiro, De Neve and Carter.
  9. No interest in Wrexham's injury problems. Its our injuries to our players like Morishita, Gudjohnsen, etc that has cost us. Like I said previously and repeating, we missed Gudjohnsen in the last 3 games. He is our fox in the box and if he played at Boro and Sheffield Wednesday we win the games. We don't have a suitable back up for him or Ohashi where you rotation more. Ohashi looked shattered yesterday
  10. Got to applaud your optimism there SG194.. This is normally the kind of fixture where VI pulls some rabbit out of the hat and we stagger on for a few more games in the delusion that we have a football team in Rovers' colours giving their all for the cause and that perhaps there is genius at work behind the scenes after all... Except that I don't think there are any rabbits left. All either picked bone clean by the gannets and vultures circling the club, or dead of fan-led myxamotosis. Neither do I detect any evidence of genius, other than the evil hand-wringing type of stuff more associated with Pantomime than Professional Football. Nope, there is more evidence of bottom-bumping nothing left in the tank mumblings of deranged conspirators, the kinds of noises made by those who have suddenly had a dawning realisation that their sad little game is most likely up. As regards Sunday, I don't want JRC to tear us a new one. I really hope Kaminski has a back-breaking return to the hallowed soil. I'm hoping Amaari Bell hasn't matured into a capable and effective defender after his years in the (ahem) wilderness.. But what, you might ask, is the point of hope in the face of so much actual and damning evidence that we are fecked? I guess the best we can hope for is that Charlton turn up having watched the nano-second long 'higlights' of our last two fixtures, full with the incautious optimism that so often results in catastrophe for clubs.. Besides, we know that JRC only produces worldies once every 13.7 hours of game play, that Kaminski holds a candle for us Rovers faithful and that Amaari Bell is reliably unreliable.. so it might work out for us after all, especially if the other 8 players fail to trap for Charlton too. Or, I guess we can just pull the duvet up around our ears and binge watch House, or Stranger Things, or Benjamin Button - all forms of entertainment more likley to produce unanticipated outcomes for the protagonists, and all requiring similar levels of suspension of belief as are needed to stomach this latest version of Venky Shit Storm Rovers. Not hard to call this one: 1) Game off due to frozen playing surface - 2:1 favourite for me 2) Addicks adding addenough vibes to vitriolic and vocal partisan elements: Rovers 0 (no surprise there) Charlton 2 3) Rovers repair rot: Rovers 2 (Yuki's arse, and Miller screamer from half way line via Yuki's arse) Addicks 1 (JRC lob) 4) Don't go there, it's bleak this time of year: Rovers 0 Charlatans 1 (94th minute tap in following defensive howler involving all 11 Rovers players saying, "no, after You" in unison as the ball is punted tamely by Amaari Bell towards Darwen, and fanned goalwards by the collective intake of breath coming from the departing concession stand staff packing up the for display purposes only pie used to taunt punters into thinking they might be admitted to RBH with 2nd degree oral burns for the sky high price of 'sorry we sold out three weeks ago". Not happening in 2026. Promotion to the Prem, I mean.. Not for us, in any case. BENTSTERS OUT! PISH OFF PASSA GERROUT GRUNTY FRENCH GOB but still, COYB!
  11. The De Neve signing hasn't worked out but I would have picked Pickering to come on anyway. You know why he hasn't been selected in the last 4 match day squad. And also has his performances merit a place in our squad. His performances this season has been truly and bloody awful. Last season before Ismael come in, he looks quite good but gone so downhill now Didn't he score the equaliser in the Stoke game Look at what I said. Forshaw's experience over the last few weeks would have plus. Wharton's last injury was impact injury, not much you can do about that. Gudjohnsen injury during the Millwall game, something you said he wasn't injury when its was clear, something happened when he went down 3 minutes he went off The squad isn't has poor has you, otherwise we wouldn't have the 6th best defensive record. Its the squad players like De Neve or Tavares or TGH that hasn't work and not allow us to rotation or play more. I am fully aware of what is happening thanks, no need for patronising comments again cos I don't agree with you
  12. While we all agree that the current bunch of defenders is not great, Sanderson is not an improvement. Strangely enough, I just discovered that the current bunch of misfits have the 7th best defensive record in the Championship. Our biggest issue seems to be chance conversion as we have the worst record in the Championship for those who care about XG (Expected Goals). Incidentally Derby is in the opposite end. They are worst in class when it comes to creating chances/conceding chances, but their high conversion rate has given them more points. They should be below us, but the difference between Carlton Morris finishing and Ohashi's wastefulness make all the difference.
  13. Genuinely on the mindset he's a club plant. The constant pro everything Rovers do narrative, the unnecessary input on Venkys out thread too
  14. The fee quoted for Tavares includes many more add ons and was a substantially lower guaranteed (and initial) fee Oxford also outbid us on wages for De Keersmaeker De Keersmaeker has been performing to a much higher level than Tavares, which admittedly is a low bar.
  15. I was including Sheffield Wednesday but I think they've potted their owners?
  16. This is a game we must not lose, Its time we proved were men at Ewood, a pair of balls, and a home win. 4-0 Rovers.
  17. At a normal club the change from one CEO to another is seamless.
  18. Absolutely do not want Mowbray back. He'll be as bad as the others. Slow build play down promotion. We want a jdt. Someone who will get us near or in the playoffs and hope by some miracle he gets us promoted despite the club wanting the opposite.
  19. Well me and the 2 I go with will be there on Sunday and I'm taking my parents to the game, so hopefully its a win for them.
  20. What is your game? Honestly fella I don't get your angle.
  21. So a multi-million pound organisation has to drift along without anyone leading it for months and months and months because he has a notice period to serve? Ridiculous. Again, doesn't happen anywhere else. And even if that was a reason, why couldn't they have had a new one ready to start in October or November so they were ready to get to work ahead of the January transfer window. The answer Chaddy, as I suspect you know deep down, is that these owners have never wanted a CEO and don't believe we need one. That's why aside from Waggott we haven't had one for most of the last 15 years, and I would bet we don't appoint one at least until the summer. They only agreed to bring in Waggott after Mowbray persuaded them in India because they 'trusted' Mowbray. Like with every other element of their ownership they try to get away with the bare minimum and the club rots in the process.
  22. This could be your chance to shift those magic beans…
  23. They supply knob end and Dingels so a big no from me.
  24. De Neve wasnt needed because he is shit. Thats my point. Pickering was never going to change the game either. Gueye is a senior player that is fit but is a waste of time hence why he wasnt missed. Kargbo has been a waste of time whenever he has played. What would Forshaw and Montgomery have done had they been available to change yesterdays game? In the summer, Gestede kept banging on about bringing in extra defensive cover to ease Wharton back. We didnt, we repeatedly played him and he broke down again. We cant then bemoan his absence as hard luck. I dont know why but as our poor squad repeatedly shows itself up, you are going even further out of your way to justify it. Honestly, please just look at whats happening in front of your eyes.
  25. A CEO and Deputy CEO is all that is needed to a run a club properly Waggott has only just left as CEO at the end of October according to Companies House . He has period of notice to serve
