I was thinking that the freak weather last week robbed us of a nice league run of 3 wins out of 4 going into today. We'd have been looking up rather than down, what difference 10 minutes and a week make. -

Politicians do it all the time. They then release 2 or 3 stories per week every week in the lead up to election day. -

It’s massively different because Venkys / Suhail / Gestede chose to chop it up and change it greatly. So forgive me for thinking that “not being nailed on for relegation” is a good outcome to their actions. -

Yep, it's getting really bad when you are lookning back at a ducker and diver (Del Boy/Arthur Daley) with a certain amount of fondness (did i just say that) as opposed to an egotistical, childish, vindictive, underqualified, stasi like....etc etc -

No it doesn't. A club should move forward season on season. If you have a huge clearout, then what you bring in should achieve at least what you have done previously. -

Interviewing, researching, writing up but not publishing. That way you can release a series of stories in quick succession & make it look like events are accelerating (faster) than anticipated & thereby create more of a stir. I imagine…😆 -

Name one senior person in the Ewood Park and Brockhall staff who bleeds blue and white. We do, that is why it hurts so much. Especially when we have to look on and witness the mess being made at OUR club. -

We really are a team full of nothing players. Felt alot more connected with the British/Irish influcence throughout the team, Hyam, Sammie, Beck, Travis, Dolan, Baath, Leonard and there is more on that list. Haven't felt so disconnected in a long long time. Squad filled with foreign lads who appear less likely to stand up and fight or step out of line. Very deflating to watch. -
What does "the deliberate *banking "of stories" even mean or refer to?

They love to give novices power and responsibility beyond their standing in the game. Kean, Singh, Berg, Agnew, Hunt others, now Gestede and Pasha, neither of whom have any right to be anywhere near positions of such power in professional football. The owners enjoy this because these sort of people are so grateful for the opportunity that they'll sit quietly and put up with the Venky nonsense. Trouble is that the Club burns in the meantime, but they aren't arsed about that, as long as they can tell themselves they are wonderful and pay people to tell others they are. -

EJ’s match report will be an interesting read. I hope he includes Suhail, Sufi, Gestede and the rest of the politburo in his marks out of 10. -

Absolutely fuming at that and its looking highly likely that we're in for a season in a relegation battle. Never rated Ismael as a manager either, so 0 confidence he'll turn tbis around. The club will be forced into action, probably around Xmas when he has us rooted firmly in the bottom 3. -

I think our first eleven, if they played every week, would stay up. With injuries and suspensions, I think we're vulnerable.

2025-26 Relegation thread
JCRovers replied to BRFC4EVA's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I would say relegation is definitely on now for several reasons: - We have a thin squad and are starting to pick up some injuries (Alebiosu, Carter). Our cover for centre back, right back and central midfield is looking really bad right now. - Our schedule after International break looks tough (Coventry, Sheffield Utd, Leicester, Southampton). We'll probably have to play Ipswich being sandwiched between any of the weekend matches before the end of year as well. If we're sitting at the bottom end of table come December, then the chances for relegation will be fairly high given our lack of investment during previous winter transfer windows. - We lost against Charlton making it 13 consecutive away defeats in a row against newly promoted sides which will probably put a dent in their confidence. Chances are it will extend to 15 when we play Wrexham and Birmingham later this season. - They are banning local press for basically exercising freedom of speech, meaning they're not likely to cope well with any type of pressure or scrutiny from the outside. - Self-inflicted negativity is surrounding the club at the moment given how poorly they've handled the aftermath of the Ipswich game as well as the banning of LT from Ewood Park. Weak mentality traits: susceptible to pressure, overreacting and shifting blame onto others. Don't think it will take much more negativity/ poor results before it completely collapses to be honest. -

Gestede is a narcissistic con-man. It really sickens me that a work experience novice has been given so much power. -

Errrrmmmmm............. Four defeats out of six. Horrendous stuff. Picking fights with the local press, likely to get sued by the kit supplier, staff both playing and non playing who can't wait to get away and leaving in droves. No replacement for Waggott as bad as he was. The Club is in its death throes. I'll be astounded if we dont go down this season. -

Imagine after when Rudy told us last season that we were in for an exciting summer, he had winked and whispered "I can confirm that by October Adam Forshaw will be crucial to our starting eleven" -

Well… I’ve never looked forward to reading an Elliott Jackson match report until today! That was absolutely dreadful. 3-0 flattered us. Charlton squandered loads of really good chances. They absolutely bullied us, particularly second half. No positives to be taken out of that shit show. Hopefully Forshaw is fit soon as I genuinely think he makes our strongest 11. What a testament to Gestede’s recruitment.
