  1. Past hour
  2. Great find. More evidence the ground started at one end just the other side of Granville Rd by Leamington Rd Church. At the other end there's no earthly way it could have stretched any further than where St. Silas's Rd is now.
  3. Probably great news for us generating a transfer fee too. But he's our best player, and a really difficult role to replace as it's so demanding physically and technically, so would be a massive miss for us.
  4. No worries, Miller can move over to wing back and Carter can step in.... oh never mind, I see the flaw in my thinking
  5. Two games tonight for our loanees Edmondson - score/update Pratt - score/update - his loan was today extended until 3rd January
  6. That would be a big problem.
  7. Someone else mentioned that there was a Rover St named after the ground after it wascobbled over which was later renamed Wellfield Rd as it still is today. Wellfield Rd is a very flat bit but Im guessing it would be slightly further over towards East Lancs Cricket Club than where the pitch was or at least would have marked the boundary of the ground on that side.
  8. 'Robbo' was in the year above me at school. Haven't been in touch with him since leaving X. Somebody tell him it's shite for me! 🙂
  9. I was thinking the opposite about the Ipswich game in that we're finally hitting a bit of form. Ok -I know we should only have been replaying the last 10-15 mins against ten men anyway, but, I think it would have been a lot worse replaying the full 90 mins within a 2-3 weeks.
  10. It's looking increasingly likely it isn't a wind up. If it is, they'll have to knock one up for chaddy - he wants one!
  11. There’s a Rover street on there. Could that be some sort of clue?
  12. It's about time coalition of many clubs fans got together and sued him for the pure lies and spin hes made a career out of inventing.
  13. I've been thoroughly enjoying it.
  14. From the little I’ve seen his mini meltdown is quite funny at least, demanding someone send him their personal details so he can arrange suing them
  15. No clue how reliable this is but apparently trying to get a Nigerian passport to play in AFCON - https://owngoalnigeria.com/2025/11/04/blackburn-rovers-defender-in-race-against-time-to-get-nigerian-passport-ahead-of-super-eagles-debut/ If true then obviously great for him but terrible for us if he misses games end of the year.
  16. Didn't know where else to put this but currently Alan Nixon is threatening an Owls fan with legal action for claiming the club were paying him to post positive spin for them. A saints fan has piped up with the same. I'd rather not have the fat bastard drag me through the courts but it doesn't seem impossible, given some of the angles he's had on Rovers in recent history.
  17. Today
  18. Just had a quick look on the Rovers site to see how the crowd was shaping up for Saturday by seeing where tickets were available and sadly the £18 tickets don't seem to have put a dent in what will be pretty much a bog-standard attendance for us these days. We're a husk. When we played Wolves in 2000, we were in the same division we're in now, except we were trying to compete to get out of the division and were run by competent people. The argument about it being the Jack Walker era can't be levelled because by that point the great man had passed on. The attendance for that game was 20,400. I'm guessing Wolves at the time would have brought about 2k? What do we think for Saturday? 15,000 'officially' announced but nearer 11 or 12k? Sad
  19. Tyjon on the bench for England u17 v Venezuela today. Kick off 3.15 live in iITV4
  20. The galling thing at the moment, is that quite a few of the remaining fans seem not to care that the piss is being taken, and go along with it.
  21. Fair play Ian Herbert but then just who the hell is responsible for making the decision on that all white aberration that went against all advice and idea? The Rovers pictoral timeline outside the Stadium taken down, the Blues Bar gutted of its memorabilia and now this utter bollox...I swear its like they are taking the piss out the fans.
  22. Even my wife said, "oh yeah, that does look crap, it doesn't look like its anything to do with Rovers" If someone wanted to buy me the halved polo shirt for Christmas I wouldn't be disappointed. They should wear that on Saturday.
  23. I bet we don't. That will be 14 consecutive away defeats by promoted sides.
  24. Best I could find - 1891-92 - Ordnance Survey data showing the area where there was free space. Seems to make a lot of sense based on comments/diagrams further up on the thread especially over the confusion that it went up to Revidge Road. This map shows that it did extend up to there but based on other bits and bobs, you could easily see the ground being further down towards Granville Road/Cheltenham Street (as it was back then).
  25. Or indeed anywhere on the Revidge Run! Except for the Alexandra there can't be many at all up Revidge / Corpy Park / Pleckgate / Lammack these days. Royal Oak and Hare & Hounds have both gone of late. @rog of the rovers excellent work by your uncle!
  26. And yet, we will still beat them.
